Several Arizona legislators hoped changing the blend of gasoline sold in the Valley would lower prices. They left a hearing at the State Capitol on Monday with little expert opinion to support the idea. Phoenix drivers and businesses have paid well above the national average for gasoline this year, with prices spiking in two waves over the summer, according to data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. In March, gas prices in Arizona were the fifth-highest in the nation. But the average price for unleaded regular gas peaked at $4.94 in May before dropping and leveling out at $4.76...

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Two women were booked into jail Monday after police say they threw gasoline on a Walgreens employee once they were caught trying to shoplift in September. Measurements from the Copernicus Sentinel-5P satellite show this year’s ozone hole over the Antarctic. Credit: Contains modified Copernicus Sentinel data (2023)/processed by DLR ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Copernicus Sentinel-5P satellite has detected one of the largest ozone holes over Antarctica, possibly influenced by the 2022 Hunga Tonga-Hunga Ha’apai eruption. Despite historic damages, initiatives like the Montreal Protocol aim for global ozone layer recovery by 2050. Measurements from the Copernicus Sentinel-5P satellite show that this year’s ozone hole over Antarctica is one of the biggest on record. The hole, which is what scientists call an ‘ozone depleting area,’ reached a size of 26...

HOLY MOLY. The picture is from Instagram, but it's still out there on the internet after they deleted it. I found it, faces and all, on a random Kenyan news profile on Facebook!!! And it wasn't just Instagram. Here is the Twitter post that is now gone. I found that link on random accounts, including Spanish-speaking ones. I found the non-blurred photo on 4chan. I found it on a forum of "special operations enthusiasts" who like to play with airsoft guns called DEVTSIX. It's gone all over the world. I also found a subreddit from SOF (Special Operations Forces) and...

An associate professor at the School of Arts Institute of Chicago (SAIC) wrote a screed against Israelis, dehumanizing them as "pigs" and "irredeemable excrement." This is in relation to the ongoing war between Israel and the Palestinians following Hamas terrorists' invasion of Israel in which they slaughtered more than 1,300 people, the majority of which were civilians. Mika Tosca, a trans-identified leftist activist and associate professor at the SAIC, posted his thoughts on Instagram and accused Israel of pushing "propaganda," calling them "savages" and wishing that they "all rot in hell."

In a potential presidential re-match, President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump remain competitive with Biden scoring just three points more among registered voters nationally. However, when Robert F. Kennedy Jr. factors into the equation, Biden opens up a 7-percentage point lead over Trump among the national electorate. Kennedy’s presence erodes Trump’s lead among independents and cuts into his support among Republicans. Trump’s loss among his base is double the loss Biden experiences among Democrats. Biden (49%) and Trump (46%) are well-matched among registered voters nationally in a hypothetical 2024 contest. This is little changed from earlier this month...

The heinous actions of the Hamas terrorists on October 7, 2023 can unequivocally be described as evil. It had as its genesis the inculcated belief that Jews are malevolent and subhuman, therefore, they are deserving of death, destruction and being conquered by any means possible including the unconscionable and premeditated slaughter of women, children and the elderly. Throughout the history of mankind unscrupulous leaders and their disciples have exploited mankind’s base nature as exemplified by what the Catholic Church defines as the seven deadly sins: pride, greed, lust, envy, gluttony, wrath, and sloth. These human failings invariably lead to a...

CAIRO (AP) — As desperate Palestinians in sealed-off Gaza try to find refuge under Israel’s relentless bombardment in retaliation for Hamas’ brutal Oct. 7 attack, some ask why neighboring Egypt and Jordan don’t take them in. The two countries, which flank Israel on opposite sides and share borders with Gaza and the occupied West Bank, respectively, have replied with a staunch refusal. Jordan already has a large Palestinian population. Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sissi made his toughest remarks yet on Wednesday, saying the current war was not just aimed at fighting Hamas, which rules the Gaza Strip, “but also an...

Explanation: This timelapse series captured on October 14 is set against the sunrise view from Sunset Point, Bryce Canyon, planet Earth. Of course on that date the New Moon caught up with the Sun in the canyon's morning skies. Local temperatures fell as the Moon's shadow swept across the high altitude scene and the brilliant morning sunlight became a more subdued yellow hue cast over the reddish rocky landscape. In the timelapse series, images were taken at 2 minute intervals. The camera and solar filter were fixed to a tripod to follow the phases of the annular solar eclipse.

While in Israel on Wednesday, Joe Biden met with families, first responders and other medical staff affected by the October 7 Hamas terrorist attack on Israel. One doctor, who said she emigrated to Israel from New York eight years ago, told Biden how she and Israelis treat Palestinian patients the same as they treat Israelis. Biden responded by telling her the ‘my son Beau was killed in Iraq’ lie. Biden followed up by leaning in and wagging his finger in the doctor’s face and lecturing her on the importance of nurses. Biden started by mentioning the true account of his...

ederal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell acknowledged recent signs of cooling inflation, but said Thursday that the slowing in price increases was not enough yet to determine a trend and that the central bank would be “resolute” in its commitment to its 2% mandate. “Inflation is still too high, and a few months of good data are only the beginning of what it will take to build confidence that inflation is moving down sustainably toward our goal,” Powell said in prepared remarks for his speech at the Economic Club of New York. “We cannot yet know how long these lower readings...

The Pentagon plans to send Israel tens of thousands of 155mm artillery shells that had been designated for Ukraine from U.S. emergency stocks several months ago, three Israeli officials with knowledge of the situation tell Axios. Why it matters: The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and the Israeli ministry of defense told their U.S. counterparts they urgently need artillery shells to prepare for a ground invasion in Gaza — and a potential escalation of the war by Hezbollah along the Israel-Lebanon border, Israeli officials say. U.S. officials have suggested that diverting the shells from Ukraine to Israel would have no immediate impact...

Gazans got permits to work inside Israel. They came as killers and rapists. October 18, 2023 by Daniel Greenfield 52 Comments Among the litter of guns, korans, and maps discarded by the Hamas terrorists whose bodies lie alongside bullet-riddled vehicles and dusty roads are green Gaza IDs with work permits. Normally residents of the Hamas territory can’t enter Israel, but work permits allowed over 20,000 Gazans to enter Israel. When some returned, it was as Hamas rapists and killers. The Hamas invasion succeeded so well because the terrorists had an intimate knowledge of the communities they were targeting because they...

@Nigel_Farage Enough is enough! Denmark took in 321 Palestinian refugees in 1992. By 2019, 64% had been convicted of a crime (including 34% of their children too). A very large portion were also on welfare. Britain must not make the same mistake!

A video posted to social media claimed to show Hamas fighters shooting down an Israeli war helicopter in Gaza. The footage was actually taken from a video game. Another video claimed to show Israeli jets bombing targets in northern Gaza. But it was actually footage of fireworks celebrating a football win in Algeria three years ago. In recent weeks, the Israel-Hamas conflict has seen a sharp rise in fake videos and photos being posted to social media in a bid to mislead internet users and sow confusion and doubt. […] The European Commission is ramping up the pressure on social...
