A study recently published in the journal eLife illustrates how eons of evolution have fine-tuned honey bees to make swift judgments while minimizing danger. This research sheds light on the workings of insect minds, the evolution of human cognition, and offers insights for improved robot design. The paper presents a model of decision-making in bees and outlines the paths in their brains that enable fast decision-making. The...

Americans have developed a laxative habit. At his first press conference since his latest freezing episode, Mitch McConnell says Biden has been too slow in giving more assistance to Ukraine. And his mindless posse stood there and said nothing. This comes the day after the DOJ jailed a Trump supporter for 22 years for leading a protest he never even attended. The GOP is clueless. They hate their base. They hate their voters. They represent the Uniparty interests.

A court document filed on Tuesday has revealed that Department of Justice prosecutors are seeking a 120-day sentence for InfoWars host Owen Shroyer, who did not enter the Capitol building on January 6, 2021. As you’re probably aware, Republican RINOs in the Texas House have impeached Ken Paxton, arguably the most popular and effective Attorney General in the nation. Paxton was laser focused on challenging the Biden administration at every turn — and not through empty rhetoric or heated tweets — but through old-fashioned, traditional litigation. Naturally, the GOP establishment united to take him down. The silver lining is that, so far, Paxton has secured the backing of eight out of the ten Texas Senators he’ll need to overcome this unjust political witch hunt. ... There’s an impeachment going on in the Texas legislature...

Do you understand me?” the father exclaimed while confronting the transgender individual, who responded by insisting, “I’m not a man.”

MINNEAPOLIS — When students go back to class Tuesday, some schools will be without their school resource officers (SROs). Some police departments are pulling officers over a new law that restricts what holds an officer can use on violent students. Gov. Tim Walz is now indicating he may call the legislature back into a special session over the issue. At issue is the wording in a new state law that says officers can not use face-down holds, including kneeling on a student's neck. Republicans want a special session called to change that language.

President Joe Biden is underperforming among nonwhite voters in New York Times/Siena College national polls over the last year, helping to keep the race close in a hypothetical rematch against former President Donald Trump. On average, Biden leads Trump by just 53% to 28% among registered nonwhite voters in a compilation of Times/Siena polls from 2022 and 2023, which includes over 1,500 nonwhite respondents. The results represent a marked deterioration in Biden’s support compared with 2020, when he won more than 70% of nonwhite voters.
