BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (AP) — Human waste leaking from a tractor trailer on a Connecticut highway caused crashes including one involving two state police cruisers as vehicles spun out of control, authorities said. No major injuries were reported in Monday night’s mayhem on Interstate 95 in Bridgeport. Troopers arrested the truck driver on several charges, alleging he knew there was a leak but kept driving. The wrecks began shortly after 11 p.m. when the leaking waste caused extremely slick conditions in the northbound lanes, state police said.

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Jack Mogannam, manager of Sam’s Cable Car Lounge in downtown San Francisco, relishes the days when his bar stayed open past midnight every night, welcoming crowds that jostled on the streets, bar hopped, window browsed or just took in the night air. He's had to drastically curtail those hours because of diminished foot traffic, and business is down 30%. A sign outside the lounge pleads: “We need your support!”

A 14-year-old boy was put under arrest earlier this month after he was caught attempting a Kia Boys-esque stunt on a Hyundai in North Texas, according to Fox 4 Dallas-Fort Worth. After he was taken into custody, police realized he was tied to at least 38 other TikTok-inspired car thefts and break-ins in the area. Cops in Plano, TX say the teen was trying to steal another car when homeowners realized what was happening and called authorities. They blame the Kia Boys trend on TikTok for teaching him how to target and steal these cars. Police also say that they...

As part of a push to "sinicize" religion, the Chinese Communist Party has embarked on a 10-year project to rewrite the Bible and other religious texts. In the Gospel of John, Jesus famously confronts the accusers a woman caught committing adultery, saying "let the one among you who is guiltless be the first to throw a stone at her." The chastened accusers slink away and Jesus says to the woman, "‘Has no one condemned you?' 'No one, sir,' she replied. 'Neither do I condemn you,' said Jesus. 'Go away, and from this moment sin no more.'" Unless you’re a CCP...

CNBC’s Jim Cramer told investors on Tuesday that he doesn’t think all the buzz about a recession being just around the corner holds much weight. Looking at major earnings reports that have come out so far, Cramer said several players in key sectors — including homebuilding, banking, and travel and leisure — show that a recession might not be as inevitable as some may think. “Those who cling to the notion that we’re about to enter recession must find all of these examples daunting, if not depressing,” Cramer said. “But earnings season has shown the recession thesis just doesn’t hold...

As higher education continues to cater to “woke” ideals, Texas taxpayers are funding an extensive “Office of LGBTQIA Education & Engagement” at Texas Tech University, with the LGBT-oriented Campus Pride Index giving the university a 5-star rating. Campus Pride rates universities on their “LGBTQ-friendliness,” and the only other Texas universities to hold 5 stars are the University of Texas at Dallas and the University of Texas at Arlington. “The deterioration of our public universities is undeniable,” Brady Gray, president of Texas Family Project, told Texas Scorecard. “Less than a month ago, Texas Tech canceled a class on ‘Witchcraft, Bruxas &...

What would you do if we told you that you could get up to 12 hours of your life back each week? That’s essentially what Shopify aimed to do when it implemented its calendar purge policy. The company’s chief human resources officer told Bloomberg this decision eliminated the equivalent of more than 320,000 hours of meetings. That’s a lot of hours! Although the thought of turning all meetings into emails might sound enticing, it’s not practical for every business or department, especially if done haphazardly. However, when feasible, eliminating or restricting meetings can have practical benefits. Read on to learn...

The Low Pay Commission is expected to recommend to the Government that it increases the minimum wage next year by 12%. This would be a rise of €1.40 an hour, bringing the rate from €11.30 to €12.70. Last year, the Government announced plans to introduce a new national “living wage” to replace the minimum wage by 2026. It will be phased in over a four-year period starting this year and will be set at 60% of the hourly median wage. In 2023, it is estimated that 60% of median earnings would equate to approximately €13.10 per hour. The minimum wage...

Country music star Jason Aldean sparked controversy with his new hit song 'Try That in a Small Town', which slams left wing antagonists for antics that wouldn't fly in the South. Aldean, 46, released the gun-toting, anti-woke song Friday, just days before he suffered a severe heatstroke on stage in Hartford, Connecticut. But the singer is facing the heat again for his latest track, which interlaced clips of BLM protestors vandalizing cities with lyrics endorsing traditional values and 'taking care of our own.' Aldean opens the song: 'Cuss out a cop, spit in his face. Stomp on the flag and...

A young North Carolina woman is suing the medical team that put her on testosterone at age 17 and surgically removed her breasts the next year, saying she was fast-tracked into transgender care for profit when she really needed therapy. Prisha Mosley, 25, says she was confused and battling mental health problems when clinicians suggested cross-sex hormones and a double breast removal after brief consultations, one lasting only minutes. In her 53-page complaint, she says her doctors 'lied', including by saying testosterone jabs would solve her problems and make her 'grow a penis.' She has since decided to 'detransition' and...

Tomorrow (Wednesday), the House Oversight Committee will hold a public hearing at 1pm ET, gathering information from two IRS whistleblowers who have come forward with evidence the DOJ and FBI pressured them to stop the investigation of Hunter and Joe Biden and their alleged bribery schemes. Essentially, large payments were made by foreign governments, and affiliated businesses within China and Ukraine, to Joe and Hunter Biden in exchange for political policy. The IRS agents investigating the case were blocked by DOJ and FBI officials during their investigation of the criminal activity. Both IRS agents are going to testify publicly. In...

Bud Light critics are flocking to slam the beleaguered beer brand with abuse as it resumes regular posting following a hiatus amid the Dylan Mulvaney fallout. The beer label has been struggling since its April partnership with the 26-year-old transgender influencer sparked a decline in sales, costing its parent company Anheuser-Busch around $22 billion in market cap to date. Bud Light's social media teams retreated into the shadows in mid-April following the backlash and the beer giant disavowed the disastrous campaign. More than two months later - from June 22 - the brand cautiously resumed posting notably more politically neutral...

"And he called unto him his disciples, and saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That this poor widow hath cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury: For all they did cast in of their abundance; but she of her want did cast in all that she had, even all her living." "And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength." "The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right...

As we all know, we live in a time of a 24 hour news cycle. If big news comes out, it will capture attention at best for 48 hours before it is replaced with the next big story. Many have pointed fingers at the timing of Trump being notified of him being the target of an investigation. Notibly, with the whistle blower testistomony Wednesday, the timing seems targeted to cause distraction. This is at least what we are being told. I find a few red flags with this narrative. 1. The testimony only became a big news headline Monday night....

Michigan’s attorney general on Tuesday criminally charged 16 so-called “fake electors” for former President Donald Trump, accusing them of a fraudulent effort to reverse President Joe Biden’s victory in the state’s 2020 election. The 16 people each face eight charges, including conspiracy, election law forgery, and uttering and publishing, state Attorney General Dana Nessel said in a video announcement. Nessel called the alleged plan a “desperate effort” to “undermine democracy.” Several of the accused are active in Republican politics. Nessel has not ruled out potential criminal charges against additional defendants, her office said.
