(Daily readings from the USCCB)Jesus said to his disciples: “I have much more to tell you, but you cannot bear it now. But when he comes, the Spirit of truth, he will guide you to all truth.” John 16:12–13This passage still rings true for all of us today. God wants to reveal to us, within the depths of our consciences, the deepest, most profound and transforming truths that flow from the mind of the Father in Heaven. But we cannot bear it all now. Not fully. And eternity will be spent continually deepening our understanding of all that God reveals....

Brandon Johnson spent part of his first full day as mayor Tuesday visiting asylum-seekers who have been sleeping on the floor of the 12th District police station and others staying at a temporary shelter in Little Village, saying he needed to see the crisis “first-hand.” The new mayor met with several immigrants staying at the 12th District police station, telling them he was ‘grateful’ they were here and assuring them that ‘we are going to do everything we can to make this home for you.’

A group of Democratic lawmakers and left-leaning legal advocates have once again renewed their push for legislation expanding the size of the U.S. Supreme Court, reintroducing a bill Tuesday that perished in committee last Congress. The Judiciary Act of 2023 would add four seats to the high court, enlarging the bench from nine justices to 13 — a move some advocates have called for following the court's conservative majority's ruling in Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization , which overturned the constitutional right to abortion established by Roe v. Wade . Calls for court expansion have amplified recently following reports...

This list only includes destroyed vehicles and equipment of which photo or videographic evidence is available. Therefore, the amount of equipment destroyed is significantly higher than recorded here. Small arms, ATGMs, MANPADS, loitering munitions, drones used as unmanned bait, civilian vehicles, trailers and derelict equipment are not included in this list. All possible effort has gone into avoiding duplicate entries and discerning the status of equipment between captured or abandoned. Many of the entries listed as 'abandoned' will likely end up captured or destroyed. Similarly, some of the captured equipment might be destroyed if it can't be recovered. When the...

This is the dirty secret of our time: the device that the Woke / Progressive elite used to finally get rid of Donald Trump — Covid-19 — shoved them over a cliff Wile E. Coyote style. And now, as they freefall off that cliff, the supposed antidote to Covid-19 — getting vaccinated — is blowing up in their faces, again, Wile E. Coyote style. The elite now have to wake up every day and wonder if the vaccines they rushed to get will end up killing them prematurely. This is what has finally driven them crazy. And, of course, crazy...

The brilliant and evil Saul Alinsky, in his seminal book Rules for Radicals, said in Rule 4, "Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules." We are about to get a critical lesson in how the U.S. Constitution is going to be used to destroy America. The World Health Organization (WHO) is about to do that by getting "emergency" medical powers to control U.S. "healthcare" and much more. Sadly, that appears inevitable. Here are some predictions about what's coming. Their goal will be to do as much irreversible damage as fast as possible to U.S. health care...

Pray For The Peace of JerusalemLuke 8 Jesus’ Mother and Brothers 19 Now Jesus’ mother and brothers came to see him, but they were not able to get near him because of the crowd. 20 Someone told him, “Your mother and brothers are standing outside, wanting to see you.” 21 He replied, “My mother and brothers are those who hear God’s word and put it into practice.” _______________________________________________________New International Version (NIV) Holy Bible, New International Version®, NIV® Copyright © 1973, 1978, 1984, 2011 by Biblica, Inc.® Used by permission. In 2008, California voted yes on a $9 billion bond authorization to build the nation’s first high-speed railway. The plan is to build an electric train that will connect Los Angeles with the Central Valley and then San Francisco in two hours and forty minutes. But 15 years later, there is not a single mile of track laid, and executives involved say there isn’t enough money to finish the project. The latest estimates from the California High-Speed Rail Authority suggest it will cost between $88 billion and $128 billion to complete the entire system from LA to San Francisco. Inflation...

The sixth century historian Procopius, in both his History of the Wars, and The Secret History, mentions a sea monster--a gigantic whale--named Porphyrios that dwelt in the Bosporus Strait and the Black Sea, and which terrorized the shipping lanes around Constantinople for about fifty years, and which causes significant headaches for the Emperor Justinian & the Roman navy. Our information is fairly limited, but what can we say about this real life Moby Dick?SOURCES:The Secret History, ProcopiusThe History of the Wars, ProcopiusA Cabinet of Byzantine Curiosities, KaldellisPinned by The Historian's CraftPorphyrios: The Sea Monster that Terrorized the Late Roman Empire3:51...

Eighteen months ago Yemi Mobolade was a political newcomer who set out to become Colorado Springs' next mayor and break the status quo. On Tuesday night, he was poised to do just that — and was also on his way to making history as the city's first elected Black mayor. Unofficial results released by the City Clerk's Office at 9:40 p.m. show Mobolade had about 57.5% of the vote, ahead of his opponent Wayne Williams in the race, who had 42.5%. Mobolade's decisive victory represents a seismic political surprise in Colorado Springs, long known as a conservative stronghold. Though the...

Durham report: Biden was briefed on alleged 'Clinton Plan' to tie Trump to Russia. Democrats and commentators reacted dismissively to the conclusion this week of a long-awaited investigation into the origins of the Russian collusion inquiry, with some critics of special counsel John Durham citing a 2019 inquiry to claim the matter had already been settled. The Justice Department’s inspector general, Michael Horowitz, did indeed examine FBI conduct in the Russia investigation during the Trump administration. Horowitz’s findings were highly critical of the FBI and came with a list of recommendations for sweeping changes to the bureau, many of which...

The global temperature is set to break a key temperature limit for the first time within the next five years, the World Meteorological Organisation (WMO) has warned. There is now a 66% chance of breaching a global average temperature 1.5C at least once between now and 2027 - which would mark the first time in human history. The global average temperature would need to exceed 1.5C many more times before the climate can be said to have permanently warmed to that level. But it is a sign the world is getting closer, and that humanity's attempt to reign in climate...

Forbes magazine had an absolute cow over Twitter owner Elon Musk calling out leftist billionaire George Soros’ nutty open society agenda. Forbes railed against Musk for daring to criticize Soros and accused him of “closely mirror[ing] right-wing conspiracy talking points about the billionaire.” Musk mocked Soros on Twitter following news of the billionaire completely divesting from Tesla stock: “Soros reminds me of Magneto.” Forbes exploited the conniptions of leftist Twitter users to accuse Musk of “repeating antisemitic tropes.” The headline was laced with agitprop: “Musk Fans Conspiracies About George Soros After Billionaire’s Fund Dumps All Tesla Holdings.”
