A conservative non-profit group allied with former President Donald Trump urged “Hill staffers and their colleagues” to cut off meetings with any former Jan. 6 committee staffers who have since joined firms that lobby. In a letter sent to hundreds of recipients on the Hill, the dark money group American Accountability Foundation listed the names of the former committee staffers and their titles - along with their new employers and links to their firms’ clients - all of whom they urged to blacklist. “AAF has put together a cheat-sheet below outlining their new firms and the firm’s clients so you...

Minnesota regulators said Thursday they're monitoring the cleanup of a leak of 400,000 gallons of radioactive water from Xcel Energy's Monticello nuclear power plant, and the company said there's no danger to the public. The leak was first detected in November of last year. "Xcel Energy took swift action to contain the leak to the plant site, which poses no health and safety risk to the local community or the environment," the Minneapolis-based utility said in a statement. While Xcel reported the leak of water containing tritium to state and federal authorities in late November, the spill had not been...

When Russia invaded Ukraine, Vladimir Putin’s elite propagandists wanted to drink champagne in the studio to properly celebrate the moment. Head of state propaganda agency, RT, Margarita Simonyan, expressed “an overwhelming sense of euphoria” and added: “I’ve been waiting eight years for this . . . it finally happened. This is true happiness.” With the bloody all-out invasion now in its second year, the euphoria has been replaced by a lingering sense of dread, with Putin’s mouthpieces routinely fretting about the possibility of war crimes tribunals. The issue is playing on their minds. Appearing on the state TV show, Evening...

What’s known is that $250 billion in capital has left, equivalent to 14 percent of its GDP. One expert guesstimates that Russia’s economy has shrunk from the size of Italy’s to Chile’s in the past year — you wouldn’t know this based on bogus figures fed to the media by Moscow. Economist Janis Kluge of the German Institute for International and Security Affairs (SWP) calculates that Western sanctions alone have also “basically shrunk Russia’s economy by 10 percent”, bigger than what happened in the 2009 financial crisis. What is also known is that immediately after the invasion of Ukraine, an...

"Thy kingdom come" (Matt. 6:10). When you pray, “Thy kingdom come,” you are praying for Christ to reign on earth as He already does in Heaven. When we hear the word kingdom we tend to think of medieval castles, kings, knights, and the like. But "kingdom" in Matthew 6:10 translates a Greek word that means "rule" or "reign." We could translate the phrase, "Thy reign come." That gives a clearer sense of what Christ meant. He prayed that God's rule would be as apparent on earth as it is in heaven. God's kingdom was the central issue in Christ's ministry....

When God says to humankind, “Believe,” he demands something that is wholly beyond reason. Faith is totally illogical. Think about it. The book of Hebrews says faith is the substance of something hoped for, evidence that’s unseen. There is no evidence, yet we’re asked to believe. Believers will face discouragement in this life, yet I believe if we understand the illogical, unreasonable nature of faith, we will find the help we need to get through. Consider the faith that was demanded of Noah. He lived in a generation that had spun out of control, and God finally said, “Enough! Man...

“It’s kind of weird that I gave you a topic where there is only one right answer,” Cutler continued. “We don’t want to eat bugs and it’s gross. But should we be eating bugs? Yeah, because we’re killing the world by raising cows and animals. So we need to, not get rid of cows, but like, try to balance our diet so that not so much of our land is being used to raise cows, cause it’s killing the Ozone layer.”

Vice President Kamala Harris unfortunately witnessed her alma mater, Howard University, lose to defending NCAA men’s basketball national champion Kansas on Thursday, 96-68. Howard and Kansas played at the Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, Iowa, and when Harris appeared on the video board, she received an icy reception. According to multiple reports, the boos outweighed the cheers from those in attendance. After the game, the vice president got a chance to give the downtrodden Bison a pep talk in their locker room after their loss. "You played hard. You played to the very last second. You made all us...

New York Post columnist and author Miranda Devine questioned the "bizarre response" from Hunter Biden's lawyers and the White House to new findings of China-linked payments to several members of the Biden family. On "Fox & Friends" Friday, Devine argued that the claim of Hunter Biden doing "legitimate" business in China "doesn't pass the sniff test." MIRANDA DEVINE: It's quite a bizarre response. Good faith seed money, I guess, is what they're going to hang their hat on, as if this Chinese company is just doling out millions of dollars to them as a pre-payment, as a down payment on...

A massive portrait and several golf clubs gifted to former President Donald Trump by foreign leaders while in office are unaccounted for, according to a report released by House Democrats on Friday. The missing gifts are among more than 100 – worth nearly $300,000 – that Trump and his family failed to disclose, as required by law, the interim staff report by House Oversight Committee Democrats notes. During its year-long investigation, the committee discovered White House emails referencing a “larger than-life-sized painting” of Trump commissioned by Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele. The work of art was delivered to the US Embassy...

This week, both Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-Fla) andformer President Trump challenged the wisdom of President Biden's determination to give money and weapons to Ukraine "for as long as it takes" to win the war against Russia. DeSantis questioned whether continuing the war served important US interests. Trump called for an immediate ceasefire and a negotiated settlement. Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Conn) wondered "whether DeSantis' and Trump's support for Putin and opposition to Ukraine is part of a broader lack of enthusiasm for democracy and self-governance. The claim that because President Zelensky is ruling in an autocratic fashion his is not a...

We are in the midst of transitioning from an objectively true, historically consistent, analogue world and into a world that is subjectively purposed, revolutionary, and digital in construct. In fact, more so than ever before, we are in a period of time where the “what is” is being demonized and the wizard’s trick of “what it should be” is being lauded as a preferred pathway to the real. A hyperreal world of dreams, visions, technology and digital realization is in many ways attempting to take the place of what mankind has always called “reality.”

OAKLAND, Calif. - The Diocese of Oakland announced this week it is considering filing for bankruptcy due to hundreds of lawsuits that have been filed, alleging clergy members sexually abused children. In a letter posted on the diocese website, Bishop Michael Barber said that 330 lawsuits have been filed against the diocese from 2020 to 2022. A new California law gave victims of sexual abuse a three-year window to file claims that had previously expired due to the statute of limitations. He says he believes bankruptcy would allow the diocese to reorganize its financial affairs, while providing a way to...
