The White House on Thursday called on Congress to dedicate $1.6 billion toward addressing fraud within coronavirus pandemic relief programs, pushing for money to help victims and strengthen prosecutors targeting fraudsters. President Biden will use his upcoming proposal, expected to be released next week, to ask Congress to allocate the money toward combating fraud, White House officials said. Biden will ask for $600 million to be used to better fund investigations and prosecution of those engaged in “major or systemic pandemic fraud,” targeting offenders who have stolen the largest amount of funds. The money would be used to hire more...

In a heated exchange with Gestapo chief Merrick Garland at a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing Wednesday, Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) directly challenged Garland’s viciously corrupt and politicized “Justice” Department, and zeroed in on the once-respected agency’s targeting of traditionalist Roman Catholics. While Garland maintained, in the teeth of the available evidence, that the department is not actually targeting Catholics, he claimed not to know how many spies and informants the feds have in those hotbeds of terrorism, traditional Catholic parishes. In other words, he didn’t say they didn’t have any such spies and informants. So if you’re Catholic, be watchful:...

"Men ought always to pray" (Luke 18:1, KJV). Prayer should never be limited to certain times, places, or circumstances. As a child I was taught to pray with my head bowed, eyes closed, and hands folded. Even as a young man I thought that was the only acceptable mode of prayer. In my seminary days I sang in a quartet that traveled to various churches throughout the United States. The first time I traveled with them we had a prayer meeting in the car, and the driver prayed with his eyes open. All of us were glad he did, but...

Florida’s Attorney General, Republican Ashley Moody, is calling on her state to add a frightening new “Frankenstein” opioid that is reportedly 40 times more potent than fentanyl to the list of Schedule 1 controlled substances, a designation that stipulates the drug has no acceptable medical use and carries a high risk for abuse. Other drugs to receive that classification include heroin, ecstasy, and peyote, among others. Officially known as “nitazene compounds,” Moody warns “one pill will kill,” and it’s already spreading across America. “For years, I have been warning about how just one pill laced with fentanyl can kill, but...

Paul often refers to himself as “the prisoner of Christ Jesus.” In Ephesians 4:1, he says being a prisoner of the Lord is actually his vocation, his calling! He considered this God’s gift of grace to him (see Ephesians 4:7). Paul wrote to Timothy: “Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner, but share with me in the sufferings for the gospel according to the power of God” (2 Timothy 1:8, NKJV). Even into his old age, the apostle rejoiced in having been apprehended by the Lord and taken captive to his...

Back in our early days in the U.S., circa 1964-66, we lived in Wisconsin and traveled to Chicago to visit a Cuban store there. It was a quick drive on I-94 and the sights of Lake Shore Drive and O'Hare Airport were spectacular. My parents always complimented how clean and orderly everything was. I guess that there was something good about Mayor Richard Daley after all. On Tuesday night, Mayor Lightfoot was rejected by the voters. She came in 3rd place and will start packing her bags for a post-political life. My guess is that she'll end up at MSNBC...

This includes caving to them on treatments, lockdowns and vaccine mandates along with government surveillance. Even more chillingly, the Biden regime does not...

Kenya’s President William Ruto and opposition leader Raila Odinga have united in their criticism of last week’s Supreme Court ruling which allows the LGBT community to register lobby groups in Kenya. It appears that DirecTV dubiously dropping Newsmax and One America News within months of each other may be connected to the lawsuit by Dominion Voting Systems against the two news outlets. AT&T, which holds the majority ownership stake in DirecTV (70 percent), is overseen by its liberal Board Chairman William Kennard, who’s been accused of directly interfering in the decision by DirecTV to drop OAN April 2022. This development happened just under a year after it was reported that Dominion Voting Systems, the voting tech company that was the subject of controversy during the 2020 election, had launched billion-dollar lawsuits...

Former NFL wide receiver Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson has made a series of surprising remarks about money in interviews over the last few weeks, including that he once lived at his former team’s stadium for nearly two years.
