President Joe Biden rounded on his former staffers Wednesday when he blamed them for not being thorough enough in packing up his old offices, saying it was their carelessness that resulted in multiple classified documents being discovered in the garage at his Delaware home. “One of the things that happened is that what was not done well is, as they packed up my offices to move them, they didn’t do the kind of job that should have been done to go thoroughly through every single piece of literature that’s there,” Biden told PBS NewsHour in a post-State of the Union...

"I’m troubled that I can’t immediately rule out the suggestion that the U.S. blew up Nord Stream. I checked with a bunch of Senate colleagues. Among those I’ve asked, none were ever briefed on this. If it turns out to be true, we’ve got a huge problem."

WASHINGTON — The House floor has been no stranger to rowdy spectacle in 2023, but the eruptions of Republican vitriol against President Joe Biden during his State of the Union address Tuesday night underscored a new and notably coarse normal in Congress, where members of the GOP majority tossed aside rules of decorum and turned the annual speech into a showcase for partisan hostility. The raucous peals of “liar,” “that’s not true” and at least one expletive lobbed at Biden during his 73-minute address dwarfed outbursts during previous such speeches, most of which have been interrupted by a single disturbance,...

During the State of the Union speech, President Joe Biden tried to claim that the U.S. southern border is improving, despite the fact that it has gotten significantly worse. Under the Biden administration, illegal immigration has soared to unprecedented levels. The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) recorded over 250,000 encounters with illegal aliens in December 2022, the highest number recorded in U.S. history.Based on December's numbers, the administration has now experienced ten straight months of 200,000+ illegal alien encounters. But the president claimed otherwise during his speech to Congress. "We now have a record number of personnel working to secure...

"Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ" (Phil. 1:2). Nothing you face today is beyond the purview of God’s grace and peace. Paul's wonderful benediction for grace and peace was ever on his heart. He offered it in each of his epistles and expounded on it throughout his writings. Grace is the outpouring of God's goodness and mercy on undeserving mankind. Every benefit and provision you receive is by God's grace. That's why Peter called it "the manifold grace of God" (1 Pet. 1:10). Just as your trials are manifold or multifaceted, so...

It’s just like The Fed to ignore what is going on and do something else. The one statement that Biden made in his State of the Union Address that was factually accurate was that inflation is coming down. Of course, he then blew it by saying he inherited inflation from Trump which was not true. Headline inflation (CPI YoY) was only 1.4% when Biden was sworn-in as President and rose to 9.1% YoY by June 2021 before finally starting to decline. But despite the cooling of inflation (and M2 Money growth), The Fed seems hell bent on increasing their target...

You may have heard the term “ESG” popping up in the news lately. Environmental, social, and governance (ESG) disclosures provide important metrics to understand how a company’s practices could impact future financial performance. CalPERS uses an ESG framework to assess potential risks to our investments. For example, under the “social” framework, there is tremendous value in an investor’s ability to verify a company’s data security, as breaches can cause litigation, loss of customer loyalty, and other impacts to profitability. This kind of information is critical to fulfilling the CalPERS mission of achieving a high rate of return to provide retirement...

The Hittite Empire emerged around 1650 BC in semi-arid central Anatolia, a region that includes much of modern Turkey. For the next five centuries, the Hittites were one of the major powers of the ancient world, but around 1200 BC, the capital at Hattusa was abandoned and the empire was no more. ... Manning and Sparks combined their labs to scrutinize samples from the Midas Mound Tumulus at Gordion, a human-made 53-meter-tall structure located west of Ankara, Turkey. ... But equally important are the juniper trees -- which grow slowly and live for centuries, even a millennium -- that were...

Joe Biden misinforms, ignores, and attacks—and then calls for “unity,” as the country collectively slides into ruin. A fter listening to the State of the Union address, Americans know why the latest Reuters poll has Joe Biden at 41 percent approval. Vice President Kamala Harris polls even lower—despite the obsequious efforts of the most biased media in history that has, in effect, merged with the Democratic Party. The nation was reminded again why only 37 percent of Biden’s own party want him to run again. Only a quarter of Americans believe the country is headed in the right direction under...

Pictures have emerged of the fiery scene of a Boeing 737 crash in southern WA — the first in Australia — as the state's premier hailed the pilots' "remarkable" survival.
