An 8-year-old boy from Carlsbad, California is in a medically-induced coma after sustaining a traumatic brain injury in a trampoline accident. Leeland Havensek was...jumping on the family trampoline with his little sister when the two collided. “We gave him ice, he laid down for a bit. We monitored him every 10 to 15 minutes for (a) possible concussion,” said Maggie Havensek, Leeland’s mom. Later, Wednesday night as his mother was making lunches for the next day, Maggie said she heard a loud noise that sounded like a snore. “I ran into the room and my son was seizing and not...

Dr. Jordan Peterson slammed the double standard in the treatment between President Barack Obama and President Donald Trump in a recent video, scorching Obama for receiving the Nobel Peace Prize for “doing nothing.” At the same time, he noted that Trump’s historic peace efforts in the Middle East were wholly ignored.“President Obama received the Nobel Prize for doing nothing but winning a presidential election while being black, to put it bluntly,” Peterson explained. “And I think he knew it, although he cravenly accepted the prize anyway.”By contrast, Peterson pointed out, “Trump and his team and all the people involved in...

President Joe Biden, who is now sending tanks to Ukraine, warned in March that doing so would result in World War III. Biden announced last week that the United States would send 31 Abrams M1 main battle tanks to Ukraine in what amounts to an escalation of American support for Ukraine’s conflict with Russia. Biden said: With spring approaching, Ukrainian forces are working to defend the territory they hold and preparing for additional counter offenses to liberate their land. They need to be able to counter Russia’s evolving tactics and strategy on the battlefield in the very near term. They...

As a follow up to our previous item asking questions about our grand strategy toward Russia, Iran, and the Ukranian war (such as whether the Biden Administration has a grand strategy at all), this item from today’s Wall Street Journal jumps out:Yet the largest ground war in Europe since World War II isn’t translating into boom times for U.S. defense contractors. Hobbled by supply chain disruptions, a tight labor market and a Pentagon procurement process that can take years, arms makers have been struggling to respond to the soaring demand. . .When the Pentagon ordered new Stinger antiaircraft missiles—widely used...

“It felt like forever, just looking at him … We stood there in, like, shock just going, ‘He has to be dead,'” said Amber Sweet-Smith, who saw the injured skydiver in her yard in Oceanside moments after he fell last week. “We usually hear the screaming or, you know, people laughing — just in the air, and he heard like an unusual scream, looked up, saw the guy and went, probably in his head, ‘Oh ****, he’s going to hit our house,'” “It felt like the whole wall shook. … It was scary,” “One of the other parachuter guys said...

President Joe Biden’s deputies are on track to remove the loopholed Title 42 border barrier on May 11. In practical terms, the Title 42 barrier is “almost meaningless” because it is being used to delay a declining share of the migrants that Biden’s officials are welcoming, said Mark Krikorian, director of the Center for Immigration Studies.

As I’m watching President Trump doing the familiar targeting of the GOPe roadmap, in this instance hitting the Club for Growth (CfG), my spidey senses are telling me their modified 2024 path will involve increased emphasis on the Republican Governors Association (RGA).In the 2020 midterms, the RGA headed by Arizona Governor Doug Ducey was positioning: specifically positioning Ron DeSantis. If the modified establishment roadmap rolls out as it looks right now, I suspect the RGA will play a key role in it.President Trump hit back against the always insufferable Club for Growth yesterday. The CfG, together with the Business Roundtable...

The food service director of an impoverished Illinois school district was charged with stealing $1.5 million of food — most of which was chicken wings. Vera Liddell, 66, allegedly began stealing from the Harvey School District during the height of COVID-19, local TV station WGN reported. The station reported that Liddell ordered more than 11,000 cases of chicken wings for the district with school funds, but took all the poultry for herself. “The food was never brought to the school or provided to the students,” court records claimed.

$5 Million Reparations Payment for Black Residents Not Enough, San Francisco Official Says A San Francisco advisory committee’s recommendation that the city pay out hefty reparations to the city’s longtime black residents does not go far enough toward making things right, a member of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors told National Review on Tuesday. Supervisor Shamann Walton, who wrote the legislation that formed the committee two years ago, said that the proposed $5 million payment per qualifying person is actually “much less than a lot of the projections that people say black people should receive for reparations here in...

As you kind people know, I have been writing about the moronic ban on fracking that Mr. Biden promised to impose on our nation almost the moment he was inaugurated. This measure would have cut domestic oil and gas production by more than 35 percent since early 2021. It has caused oil and gas prices to skyrocket as oil and gas became in short supply. We would have to beg countries that hate us for oil. We are already draining our strategic petroleum reserve — a life/or/death military asset — at an alarming rate. As it happened, Mr. Biden “walked...

INTRODUCTION: ‘I realized early on I had two jobs’ The end of the long inquiry into whether Donald Trump was colluding with Russia came in July 2019, when Robert Mueller III, the special counsel, took seven, sometimes painful, hours to essentially say no. “Holy shit, Bob Mueller is not going to do it,” is how Dean Baquet, then the executive editor of the New York Times, described the moment his paper’s readers realized Mueller was not going to pursue Trump’s ouster. Baquet, speaking to his colleagues in a town hall meeting soon after the testimony concluded, acknowledged the Times had...

Suddenly! The word increasingly strikes fear into the hearts of many as they watch young and healthy people abruptly drop dead, just as Damon Hamlin did before a national audience. Unlike most, he had medical help immediately after he collapsed. The quote below comes from a January 2, 2023, Rasmussen Reports story. According to their poll: Nearly half of Americans think COVID-19 vaccines may be to blame for many unexplained deaths, and more than a quarter say someone they know could be among the victims.[i] Late on January 29, 2023, eminent MIT Professor and respected expert on drug safety analytics,...

In the past three weeks, policymakers had their worlds rocked by generative artificial intelligence. The problem is that they don’t know it – yet. First, a team of researchers demonstrated that Open AI’s Chat GPT3 can pass the stringent United States Medical Licensing Exam. Days later, Chat GPT 3 passed a bar exam. Finally, Chat GPT3 passed the prestigious Wharton Business School’s rigorous core examination. The Wharton researcher writes, “OpenAI’s Chat GPT3 has shown a remarkable ability to automate some of the skills of highly compensated knowledge workers in general and specifically the knowledge workers in the jobs held by...

[Catholic Caucus] Was Benedict XVI the “Holy Father” of the Third Secret? The Third Secret in Light of Benedict’s PassingWith the passing of Pope Benedict XVI on December 31, 2022, one could wonder how his life and death fits into the Fatima prophecies. The most obvious question is whether or not he was the “Holy Father” of the Third Secret. If you were looking for a spectacular, literal fulfillment of the vision of the Third Secret, you might not think so. However, prophetic visions are often not fulfilled in the literal sense and rarely understood until after their fulfillment. Most of...

TRANSCRIPT: JACKSON LEE: "And it was only after a overwhelming effort by the Biden administration that we began to see the clock move on individuals willing to get their first, second and third shots, their booster shots. That's why we are living. Because we were vaccinated. Because we overcame the stigma and the wrongheaded information that was scaring people about vaccines. We didn't lose a million people on vaccines, we lost a million people on not having that vaccination timely."

"In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. "And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him: And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads." "Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the...

Research in a mouse model of diet-induced obesity has found greater disruption to genes involved in heart function when coupled with vitamin A deficiency using a combined dietary and genetic approach. The research team induced obesity in a mouse model of vitamin A deficiency. After 20 weeks, the researchers compared the hearts and metabolism of the mice to obese mice with sufficient levels of vitamin A. In comparison, the vitamin-deficient obese mice had repression of genes in the heart that are associated with extracting energy from fat, extracting energy from glucose, and the production of the energy-carrying molecule adenosine triphosphate....
