The United States is readying more than $2 billion worth of military aid for Ukraine that is expected to include longer-range rockets for the first time as well as other munitions and weapons, two U.S. officials briefed on the matter told Reuters on Tuesday.
The weapons aid is expected to be announced as soon as this week, the officials said. It is also expected to include support equipment for Patriot air defense systems, precision guided munitions and Javelin anti-tank weapons, they added.

The USAI funds would go toward the purchase of a new weapon, the Ground Launched Small Diameter Bomb (GLSDB) made by Boeing Co (BA.N), which have a range of 94 miles (150 km). The United States has rebuffed Ukraine's requests for the 185-mile (297-km) range ATACMS missile.

Rebuffed doesn't mean what the young writer thinks it means.

That's $200,000,000 for Burisma Joe Biden. I'm waiting for him to claim he's the poorest president in American history. He always claimed he was the poorest guy in the senate. That would all be true without the tens of millions he obtained illegally. You don't buy the Dupont mansion on a senator's pay. What a piece of garbage. If his face gets any tighter he won't be able to open his eyes or mouth.

When will President Zelinsky move into the White House? This is ridiculous that $50+ billion of taxpayer money has been spent and Congress has not declared we are at war (not that I want them to). This should never have been allowed.

There is vastly less military-industrial complex influence today than there was in Eisenhowers time.
Defense budget 1960- 9% of GDP
Defense budget 2022- 3.9% of GDP

Military aid to allies has been much higher often before without such declarations of war.
To Afghanistan, Iraq, Israel, and during the Cold War, Vietnam, Korea, Japan, Germany, France, Pakistan, and a couple of dozen other NATO, SEATO and etc. nations.
And, no doubt, at the time you probably supported all this.
It is US social conflict that has changed your mind.

I suggest you get out your spreadsheet, plug in US equipment and munition stocks, add in that which has been sent, and do a series of annual projections.
This will give you some idea of what “pretty soon” means, that you can defend in a legitimate way.
God gave us emotions, and a brain. We use those emotions a lot, overuse them really, often falling into sin thereby. We should however honor God by using that brain more.

Eisenhower's speech is often quoted out of context in order to mislead Americans into opposing our national defense in favor of their civilian special interest spending or grudges against their fellow Americans. Here's more of Eisenhower's speech for proper context. Eisenhower was obviously in favor of maintaining the military-industrial complex.

https://avalon.law.yale.edu/20th_century/eisenhower001.asp A vital element in keeping the peace is our military establishment.
Our arms must be mighty, ready for instant action, so that no potential aggressor may be tempted to risk his own destruction. [...]
Until the latest of our world conflicts, the United States had no armaments industry. American makers of plowshares could, with time and as required, make swords as well.
But now we can no longer risk emergency improvisation of national defense; we have been compelled to create a permanent armaments industry of vast proportions. Added to this, three and a half million men and women are directly engaged in the defense establishment. We annually spend on military security more than the net income of all United States corporations.
[...]
This conjunction of an immense military establishment and a large arms industry is new in the American experience. The total influence -- economic, political, even spiritual -- is felt in every city, every State house, every office of the Federal government.
We recognize the imperative need for this development. [...]
Only an alert and knowledgeable citizenry can compel the proper meshing of the huge industrial and military machinery of defense with our peaceful methods and goals, so that security and liberty may prosper together.

U.S. readies $2 bln-plus Ukraine aid package with longer-range weapons -sources
Anything to keep this war going and get us closer to a major conflict quite possible nuclear in nature. As this is no longer Ukraine vs Russia, but US and it’s so-called allies against Russia. By nature, I am not a person who likes to make any bets, but in this case, I would be tempted to bet that hell may freeze over before Russia will give up its claim on Ukraine as well as Crimea and I would not blame them either as a good portion of its population are of Russian ethnicity and from what I heard have not been too happy with the current regime to begin with run by an actor kept in power with US money.
