A new study has revealed a tenuous but plausible link between picking your nose and increasing the risk of developing dementia. In cases where picking at your nose damages internal tissues, critical species of bacteria have a clearer path to the brain, which responds to their presence in ways that resemble signs of Alzheimer's disease. There are plenty of caveats here, not least that so far the supporting research is based on mice rather than humans, but the findings are definitely worth further investigation – and could improve our understanding of how Alzheimer's gets started, which remains something of a...

Republicans lead Rasmussen Reports’ final generic congressional ballot by five points heading into next week’s midterm election. Four days before the election, Republicans lead by five points on the generic ballot, the same generic ballot a GOP candidate has led all year. Of the 2,500 likely voters who responded to the poll, 48 percent said they would vote for the GOP candidate, while only 43 percent said the Democrat candidate.

[Catholic Caucus] There’s Yet Another Jesuit on Francis’s Team. At the Academy for Life They Know Him WellTo the squadron of Jesuits, including a good three cardinals, that Pope Francis has set up in command of the Church, there must be added at least one name that Settimo Cielo culpably omitted in the previous post.It is a name not much in use. And one that nobody in recent days has brought into the swirl of criticisms that have struck the Pontifical Academy for Life, when instead the very one who bears that name was behind them. The controversy broke out following...

CNN’s flashy new morning show co-hosted by Don Lemon, Poppy Harlow and Kaitlan Collins bombed in its debut episode on Tuesday. Despite heavy promotion from the network, “CNN This Morning’s” first show drew a mere 387,000 viewers and averaged 71,000 viewers in the advertiser-coveted 25-54 age demographic, according to Nielsen ratings. By comparison, MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” amassed 793,000 viewers head to head from 6 to 9 am ET. Meanwhile, Fox News’ “Fox & Friends” came out on top, averaging nearly 1.5 million viewers. No show across CNN, MSNBC and Fox News ranked lower than Lemon’s program on Tuesday.

Prince William and King Charles exploded into 'torrents of profanity' following comments from Donald Trump about Kate Middleton’s 2012 topless photo scandal, a new book has claimed. After the photographs of the then Duchess of Cambridge sunbathing topless in Provence, France, were published in the French magazine Closer, the business mogul took to Twitter to comment. The former president, 76, tweeted: ‘Kate Middleton is great--but she shouldn’t be sunbathing in the nude--only herself to blame.’ He added: ‘Who wouldn’t take Kate’s picture and make lots of money if she does the nude sunbathing thing. Come on Kate!’ The advance copy...

During a portion of an interview with Fox News released on Friday, House Majority Whip Rep. James Clyburn (D-SC) stated that his vote to object to counting Ohio’s electoral votes in the 2004 election was “totally different from what Trump was trying to do” because he “only voted to protest a process,” “because I thought the process was something that should have played out.” Which is a “legitimate thing in this country.” Clyburn stated, “We didn’t deny anything. We were voting on a process that was on the floor, voting on it because I thought the process was something that...

Former US President Donald Trump says World War Three would “blow everything away” but is a possibility being faced. Mr Trump issued the chilling warning while talking at a rally in Iowa on Thursday, local time. He said we could see a “third world war” because of what’s going on and the “stupidity of what’s being said”. “It’s a very serious problem. “We could end up in World War Three – and World War Three will blow everything away because World War Three has nuclear weapons like nobody’s ever seen, and other things. “And we can’t let that happen, but...

Radical Leftist Arizona Democrat gubernatorial nominee Katie Hobbs’ husband is a child therapist for “transgender children,” according to a new report and lawsuit he was named in. This is why Katie Hobbs has shown support for youth transgender surgery amid new Arizona laws prohibiting children from receiving permanent gender reassignment surgery and boys from participating in girls’ sports. The Gateway Pundit reported that Katie Hobbs also voted against legislation amending Arizona Revised Statutes to include our historic national motto and the Arizona State motto in the state’s school curriculum. Earlier today, NBC News accidentally committed an act of journalism by reporting that Paul Pelosi let police into his home, then walked away from them and toward David DePape. That doesn’t seem like the actions of a man who’s in distress or who just had his home broken into by a violent man who was threatening to kill his wife. Of course, NBC News retracted the story, deleted the report, and claimed it didn’t meet their “reporting standards.” Here’s the video: This lends even more credibility to the theory that Pelosi knew his attacker and let him in for whatever...

The official Trailer for the new animated Super Mario Bros. movie dropped last week to much fanfare. Mind you, I know very little about the Mario Bros. video game, television and movie universe aside from playing the game many years ago. The hoopla, as it turns out, had very little to do with the trailer itself, but rather actor Chris Pratt’s accent – or lack thereof—for the lead character of Mario. Apparently, it’s not stereotypically “Italian” enough. Either that, or his “Brooklyn-Italian” accent is not authentic enough. The latter complaint is no surprise given Pratt grew up in Minnesota. As...
