It was recently reported that the World Economic Forum (WEF) wants a system of people and Artificial Intelligence (AI; computers that are programmed to think like humans) to track and censor “misinformation” and “hate speech” all over the world. According to the report, Twitter only monitors information on Twitter; Facebook only monitors information on Facebook; people that speak just English are unable to monitor content in French or Spanish; people that speak just French are unable to monitor content in Italian or Pakistani, etc. So, the WEF wants a system of people and AI that can track and censor “misinformation”...

Amazing! The US open has been thrilling to watch, as this year the audience has been incredibly diverse. Serena’s last US open appearance, with Coco Gauff, Naomi Osaka and Francis Tiafoe’s first slam semi-final brought a new dimension to professional tennis as well as a raucous crowd. Today, two white guys, one Spanish and one Norwegian are vying in the finals for the trophy, unfortunately Tiafoe’s early exit ended the diversity.

EUGENE Ore. (KPTV) - A 26-year-old Portland man was arrested Wednesday after a series of assaults in Eugene, according to the Eugene Police Department. At about 9:30 a.m., police responded to reports of a man trying to stab the tires of a patrol vehicle. Police did not provide the location. At the scene, employees of a nearby business told police that the man had first thrown a knife at a business employee who had been working on a customer’s vehicle parked in an alley, police said. The knife had “narrowly missed” the employee’s head and lodged in the side of...

Have you heard the story about Enoch Burke? An innocent schoolteacher, fighting the good fight against the woke liberal agenda. Jailed for his refusal to kowtow to the demands of the left-wing mob. Jailed for his religious beliefs. You can’t say anything any more, can you? It won’t just be cancellation on Twitter, now you’ll be thrown in Mountjoy for daring to say sex is real. That’s not the real story, of course. Burke, an evangelical Christian, was suspended from Wilson’s Hospital School in Westmeath last month arising from his opposition to addressing a transgender child in the school by...

WASHINGTON (AP) _ Alice Frazier welcomes everybody into her home with a big hug and an offer of some food, maybe her famous potato salad. On Wednesday, Queen Elizabeth II came calling. She declined the potato salad, but got the hug anyway. Even touching Queen Elizabeth II is a breach of protocol, according to the people who keep up with those things. ″She didn’t say anything,″ Mrs. Frazier, 67, said in a post-hug interview.

Chelsea Clinton said during a recent interview that she hasn’t spoken to Ivanka Trump in about six years which is when she says her former friend switched over to the "dark side." "I would say we were friends," Chelsea Clinton said during an interview on "Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen" on Thursday, New York Post reported. "She’s not the person I called when I was curious about something for my kids or if I was debating a life decision, but we were definitely friends. And then she went to the dark side." Clinton confirmed that the last conversation...

Some comments on Youtube: Longtime Taiwan resident here. A bit of a nitpick about your wording describing polling data on the status quo issue: it's not that only 5% of Taiwanese "want to be independent," it's 5% want to DECLARE dejure independence despite the risks. Had a pen pal I spoke with back in high-school that lived in Kowloon. After England gave back HongKong, she and her family fled to Taiwan because she said that the communists would never hold their word and would take over dispite agreeing to let HongKong govern itself. She was 100% right. I watched Pelosi’s...

Archaeologists at the University of Oxford’s School of Archaeology have used satellite imagery to identify and map over 350 monumental hunting structures known as ‘kites’ across northern Saudi Arabia and southern Iraq – most of which had never been previously documented...Termed kites by early aircraft pilots, these structures consist of low stone walls making up a head enclosure and a number of guiding walls, sometimes kilometres long. They are believed to have been used to guide game such as gazelles into an area where they could be captured or killed...Kites cannot be observed easily from the ground, however the advent...

Recently a Florida judge dismissed the lawsuit brought by President Trump against Hillary Clinton. [65-page Ruling Here] The media have enjoyed ridiculing Trump by using the words of the judge who dismissed the case. As noted by the Washington Times, “Judge Donald M. Middlebrooks, a Clinton appointee, said Mr. Trump’s filing was too lengthy, detailing events that “are implausible because they lack any specific allegations which might provide factual support for the conclusions reached.” Pay attention to the framework underpinning Middlebooks’ opinion. I have been reluctant to write about the decision to dismiss the lawsuit of President Trump against a...

  • The Queen of 'banter'! Monarch's piper of four years says she was 'easy-going' and 'funny' and secretly 'liked' being called Your Royal Highness after he mistakenly called her by the title instead of Your Majesty

Pipe Major Scott Methven, who was the Queen's Piper until 2019, has recalled the 'banter' he had with the 'easy-going and funny' monarch during his four-year tenure. The 48-year-old described being moved from the army in 2015 to live in Buckingham Palace as 'surreal', but said that he struck up a 'great relationship' with the Queen. He said: 'She had really a quick wit as is well-documented. It was just always one-liners, I had so much sort of banter with the Queen, it was great. 'The first time when I was appointed, she turned around and said to me 'Look,...

Walentynowicz’s firing helped transform what had originally been protests over rising bread prices into an all-out assault on the Soviet regime. The protestors did not seek a compromise with the Communist regime, but demanded recognition of their rights, including freedom of speech, freedom of religion, and dignified treatment of the workers. In many ways, the Solidarity movement stood for what the American Founding Fathers had defined as “unalienable rights.”

Panicked Russian soldiers are abandoning their tanks, weapons and even clothes as they "literally run from their positions" in the face of a shock Ukrainian offensive, soldiers have told The Telegraph. A Ukrainian intelligence unit on the front line said the Russian chain of command was broken and soldiers were fleeing without putting up a fight, many of them changing into civilian clothes to avoid detection. A drone operator returning from the front line on Sunday also told The Telegraph that the speed of the offensive had even taken their own army by surprise, with troops struggling to recover the...

It is regularly eaten by more than half the world's population. And now, it's been grown in microgravity, on board the newly launched Chinese Wentian space laboratory. Wentian launched in July and joined up with the Tianhe module of China's new space station. Its original complement of eight experiments included one that attempted to grow rice in microgravity. There were actually two types of rice launched as part of the experiment. A tall shoot variety reached almost 30 centimeters in the first month of growth, and a dwarf variety reached around 5 cm. Both of these growth amounts are on...

Humans have managed to survive and grow plants in low-Earth orbit aboard several spacecraft and stations. Space is the ultimate “harsh environment” for life to exist in, including plants, due to such novel stressors as cosmic radiation and lack of gravity. Space biologist Anna-Lisa Paul describes plants as being able to “reach into their genetic toolbox and remake the tools they need” to adapt to the novel environment of space. Space agencies have been working on specialized systems that provide the conditions necessary for plant cultivation in space. These systems are containers that can control the internal environment and grow...

Hey, no bias there! This week the world learned of the passing of England’s 96 year old Queen Elizabeth II. A couple weeks ago Russia’s 91 year old Mikhail Gorbachev, the last president of the Communist Soviet Union, passed away. And the difference in coverage in the media was, shall we say, interesting. The New York Times published an essay by one Maya Jasanoff. Jasanoff is described as “a professor of history at Harvard, is the author of three books about the British Empire and its subjects.” The title of her essay:Mourn the Queen, Not Her EmpireAmong other things Professor Jasanoff says...
