Bears, boars, monkeys and even dolphins are becoming bolder and more aggressive as climate change affects their habitats and forces them into confrontations with humans. Dramatic changes in the landscape of rural Japan have caused significant changes in the behavior of the nation's wild animals, leading to more frequent — and more violent — clashes with humans. In years gone by, bear attacks have typically accounted for the majority of the attacks on humans, along with occasional rampages by boars. But there has been a sharp increase in reports of attacks by monkeys this summer, while authorities in one coastal...

FBI agents, as well as U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland and FBI Director Chris Wray, are experiencing an uptick in death threats in the wake of the raid at former President Trump’s residence at Mar-a-Lago in Florida, according to sources speaking with Fox News. Authorities monitoring social media posts are spotting a significant increase in death threats aimed towards agents, Wray and Garland. These threats are reported to continue at a steady pace online. The FBI/DOJ security procedures are not made public, and both Garland and Wray travel with armed security. Still, Fox News is told there are discussions to...

U.S. inflation was 8.5% in July, the Labor Department said Wednesday, holding close to its highest annual rate in four decades despite easing energy costs. Rapidly rising prices have become persistent following a surge in inflation from goods, energy and food, said Greg Daco, chief economist for EY-Parthenon, a consulting firm. “That divergent trend shows there’s a breadth of inflation in that housing inflation and service-sector inflation remain elevated,” he said, adding price pressures in those areas could linger. “And those tend to be stickier than goods, which can and will start to reverse.” Elevated inflation is the byproduct of...

MADISON, Wis. — Former Wisconsin Lieutenant Governor Rebecca Kleefisch conceded to Tim Michels in the Republican primary for governor Tuesday night, setting the businessman up to take on incumbent Democratic Gov. Tony Evers in the fall. Michels defeated primary rivals Rebecca Kleefisch and Tim Ramthun in the primary. As of 11:35 p.m., Michels had 47% of the total votes cast, while Kleefisch had 42.5% and Ramthun had 5.8%. In his victory speech, Michels said the race is about standing up for hard-working people and that jobs and the economy will be his top priority if he makes it to the...

Former President Donald Trump faces a deposition Wednesday by New York Attorney General Letitia James, who has made pursuing Trump a focus of her office since she was elected in 2018. The deposition comes two days after FBI agents raided Trump’s home at Mar-a-Lago, Florida, ostensibly in pursuit of presidential records — an act that outraged Republicans and caused even some Democrats to criticize the Department of Justice for its unprecedented action.

When “Batman and Robin” came out in 1997, it seemed like everyone was focused on Alicia Silverstone’s body. The actor who played Batgirl was greeted with misogynistic and body-shaming echoes of “Fatgirl” by so-called fans of the franchise. In a particularly gross quip, late director Joel Schumacher laughed about how Batgirl’s suit came “with nipples. We’re an equal opportunity movie.” When it was announced last summer that an actor of color was going to play Batgirl in a live action film, racist trolls came for star Leslie Grace in the same way they came for Halle Bailey after she was...

Ukraine's special forces were responsible for a series of deadly explosions which destroyed parts of a crucial Russian airbase in Crimea yesterday, killing one and injuring 14 according to a Ukrainian government official. Up to ten Russian aircraft were destroyed in the attack, the Ukrainian air force said, which an anonymous official told the Washington Post had been carried out by special forces – despite claims yesterday that long-range missiles could have been used. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky meanwhile vowed to 'liberate' the peninsula previously part of Ukraine but annexed by Russia in 2014 despite international condemnation. Zelensky did not...

Parents at Inderkum High School in Sacramento had called on the district to fire AP Government teacher Gabriel Gipe after he was caught on video in September discussing the flag with Project Veritas, a far-right media group. 'I have an Antifa flag on my [classroom] wall and a student complained about that — he said it made him feel uncomfortable. Well, this [Antifa flag] is meant to make fascists feel uncomfortable, so if you feel uncomfortable, I don't really know what to tell you,' Gipe said.

Agents with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) rooted through the personal belongings of former first lady Melania Trump as they executed a search warrant believed to be connected to classified material that former President Donald Trump was supposed to return to the National Archives earlier this year. The New York Post reported Tuesday afternoon that the agents “scoured Melania Trump’s wardrobe” in the Versailles Master Bedroom at the Mar-a-Lago residence. Lawyers for the Department of Justice present during the raid reportedly informed Trump’s representatives that the search warrant gave them “full access to everything” on site. Reports have claimed...

IntroductionRecently, there has been a noticeable shift in statements by Iranian regime spokesmen on the issue of acquiring nuclear weapons, with the aim of gaining Western recognition of Iran as a nuclear threshold state. While these spokesmen once vehemently denied any intention to obtain nuclear weapons, basing this on Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei's alleged "nuclear fatwa" (that does not exist at all – see Appendix II) banning nuclear weapons, today they are increasingly declaring that Iran has the technical capability to produce nuclear weapons. The most recent declaration of this kind came on August 1, 2022 from Atomic Energy...

(Translation) The World Health Organization [WHO] is expressing regrets over the killing of monkeys in Brazil amid fears of being infected with the monkeypox virus. The Brazilian G1 news website reported that 10 monkeys had been poisoned in less than a week in the State of Sao Paulo. Similar incidents have been reported in other cities. "People need to know that transmission we see right now is among humans," WHO spokesperson Margaret Harris said during a press conference in Geneva. Brazil has counted over 1,700 monkeypox cases, according to WHO.

Alina Habba, a lawyer who represents Donald Trump, allegedly called New York Attorney General Letitia James a "Black b***h." The claim was made in a lawsuit alleging discrimination that was filed against Habba and her firm, Habba Madaio & Associates, by Na'syia Drayton, a Black woman who worked there as a legal assistant until recently. It was filed Middlesex County, New Jersey, on Tuesday, online records show. Habba, has represented Trump in a number of lawsuits, has attacked James, calling her a "sick person" for her investigation into Trump's business practices. The lawsuit alleges that Habba's behavior created a hostile...

One of the many initiatives in the Chinese Cultural Revolution that began in 1966 was a repudiation of the past. The "Destroy the Four Olds and Cultivate the Four News" campaign aimed at destroying old ideas, culture, habits, and customs that had survived the Communist takeover of the country 17 years earlier and replacing them with "new" doctrines more in line with Chairman Mao.[1] The extremely bloody (more than a million victims) Cultural Revolution itself was less a grassroots effort by an underclass than it was a plot to consolidate power from above. Mao was to remain in charge, but...

SPECIAL DISPATCH TO THE TIMES. WASHINGTON, Saturday, Aug. 9. Government officers, arrived from Culpepper Court-house this morning, bring highly important intelligence from POPE's army. His pickets had been thrown out on the southern bank of the Rapidan. Early on Friday morning they were attacked by the enemy in superior force and driven across the river. As soon as the information reached Culpepper Courthouse, McDOWELL's corps was ordered forward, and in a short time started -- HARTSUFF's and CRAWFORD's brigades trading the advance. The troops were in splendid fighting trim, and in the best of spirits. BANKS' corps followed MCDOWELL's, and...

Old Joe Biden’s handlers are pulling out all the stops to keep the sacrifices to Moloch going. On Wednesday, Old Joe signed an executive order that he said, “helps women travel out of state for medical care.” Biden added that Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra “is going to work with states through the Medicaid to allow them to provide reproductive healthcare for women who live in states where — where abortions are being banned in that state.” The alleged president added proudly that “just yesterday in Idaho, the Justice Department filed a lawsuit to make sure that pregnant...

In a recent FrontPage Mag article, Shillman Fellow Raymond Ibrahim noted that a new study found that more than half (54%) of the Americans surveyed believe religious freedom is eroding in the United States, and an even larger number (59%) believe that the treatment of Christians and intolerance for their beliefs are getting worse. This echoes the warnings of journalist Rod Dreher, author of Live Not By Lies: A Manual for Christian Dissidents, who insists that the “soft totalitarianism” already here in America will inevitably lead to increasingly harsh persecution of the Christian community. That community, Dreher urges, needs to...

Biden’s catastrophically botched withdrawal from Afghanistan was bad enough in itself, diminishing America’s standing in the world and projecting an image of weakness that has encouraged and emboldened enemies of our nation worldwide. The fallout from it, however, could be incalculably worse. A Defense Department (DoD) whistleblower has revealed that 324 of the Afghans whom U.S. forces brought to the United States as the disaster in Afghanistan was unfolding appeared on the department’s Biometrically Enabled Watchlist (BEWL), which includes terrorists, and yet were admitted into the country without being vetted. No one who has been watching the spreading dumpster...

(Reuters) - U.S. consumer prices did not rise in July due to a sharp drop in the cost of gasoline, delivering the first notable sign of relief for Americans who have watched inflation climb over the past two years. The Consumer Price Index (CPI) was unchanged last month after advancing 1.3% in June, the Labor Department said on Wednesday in a closely watched report that nevertheless showed underlying inflation pressures remain elevated as the Federal Reserve mulls whether to embrace another super-sized interest rate hike in September. Economists polled by Reuters had forecast a 0.2% rise in monthly CPI in...
