A revised approach to how emergency services respond to motor vehicle collisions (MVCs) could help to save lives. In 2021 a total of 127,967 casualties and 1,560 deaths were caused by MVCs in England. Of these, more than 7,000 patients needed to be assisted to leave their vehicle. This often involves trained Fire and Rescue personnel using the "Jaws of Life" (a hydraulic apparatus) and other similar tools in order to free people. During this process, patients remain in their vehicle for an average of 30 minutes while slow, careful movements are used, in an attempt to avoid spinal injuries....

On Monday night, we learned that Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate was raided by a team of FBI agents, ostensibly looking for documents the National Archivist says the former president took from the White House without authorization. Was the search for documents merely a pretext to snoop around Trump’s Florida home in the hopes that agents would turn up damning evidence related to the Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol? Or was the Department of Justice hoping the raid would whip Trump supporters into a frenzy and cause a repeat of the J6 protest ahead of the midterm elections? (Don’t take...

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) on Tuesday called for a “thorough and immediate explanation” after the FBI executed a search warrant at former President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence Monday. “Attorney General Garland and the Department of Justice should already have provided answers to the American people and must do so immediately,” McConnell said in a statement. The Tuesday evening comments were the first time McConnell had weighed in the Florida raid.

Inflammation is an essential part of the body's healing process. But when it persists, it can contribute to a wide range of complex diseases including type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and autoimmune diseases. Now, research shows a direct link between low levels of vitamin D and high levels of inflammation, providing an important biomarker to identify people at higher risk of or severity of chronic illnesses with an inflammatory component. The study examined the genetic data of participants in the UK Biobank, using Mendelian randomization to show the association between vitamin D and C-reactive protein levels, an indicator of inflammation....

Barely more than a week ago, on July 31, The Epoch Times published an article of mine—Would the Indictment of Donald Trump Lead to Civil War? How fast things move; not even Usain Bolt could keep up. What’s behind the FBI’s raid of Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home besides a burst of Neo-Stalinism reminiscent of Comrade Beria’s “Show me the man and I’ll show you the crime,” mixed with an effort to prove once-and-for-all that the USA is becoming a banana republic run by characters out of ”Seven Days in May.” What made 30 (or was it more) FBI agents give a...

FBI agents scoured Melania Trump’s wardrobe and spent several hours combing through Donald Trump’s private office, breaking open his safe and rifling through drawers when they raided the former First Family’s Mar-a-Lago home in Florida Monday morning. The Post has learned that the search warrant used by the FBI to enter the palatial Palm Beach property focused solely on presidential records and evidence of classified information being stored there. A source close to the former president expressed concern that FBI agents or DOJ lawyers conducting the search could have “planted stuff” because they would not allow Trump’s attorneys inside the...

Six-term U.S. Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler conceded her loss to Donald Trump-endorsed challenger Joe Kent on Tuesday after new vote totals confirmed she would place third in the primary. “Ever since I was first elected to this seat I have done my very best to serve my home region and our country. Though my campaign came up short this time, I’m proud of all we’ve accomplished together for the place where I was raised and still call home,” Herrera Beutler said in a statement. Herrera Beutler did not mention Kent in her statement but made an apparent reference to her...

MSNBC anchor Nicolle Wallace said Tuesday on “Deadline” that the Republican response to former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home in Palm Beach, FL being raided by the FBI was a “disgusting” new low. Wallace said, “I think that what it says is when crimes have been committed, we now have a bar. We now know national security crimes, crimes involving classified information, will be pursued, even if they include searching Mar-a-Lago for Donald Trump stuff.”

PALM BEACH, FL — Amid mounting accusations of attempting to intimidate former President Trump from running for re-election in 2024, Attorney General Merrick Garland explained today that when the FBI was tipped off about a school board protest at Mar-A-Lago, they mobilized without delay to quell the rising threat of concerned parents. "When we received an anonymous tip that parents were assembling to criticize public school curriculum and policy, we sprung into action – we should have confirmed the veracity, but didn't want to risk any of these potential terrorists escaping." Garland spoke at a press conference today, adding "We...

Biden on Tuesday signed documents endorsing Finland and Sweden's accession to NATO, the most significant expansion of the military alliance since the 1990s as it responds to Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Biden signed the U.S. "instrument of ratification" welcoming the two countries, the final step for their endorsement by the United States... The U.S. Senate backed the expansion by an overwhelming 95-1 last week... NATO's 30 allies signed the accession protocol for Sweden and Finland last month, allowing them to join the nuclear-armed alliance once all member states ratify the decision. The accession must be ratified by the parliaments of...

Twenty-eight civil rights and health care groups announced Tuesday they have requested that the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) address “dietary racism” in national school lunch programs, raising concerns to the federal agency about forcing millions of minority children to drink cow’s milk without allowing them a healthier alternative. In a letter to the USDA’s Equity Commission, the groups said the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) only incentivizes dairy milk, a policy they called “inherently inequitable and socially unjust” because children of color are more likely to be lactose intolerant — meaning they cannot fully digest sugars in dairy and...

The nurse accused of killing five people last week when her Mercedes plowed into traffic at a busy Windsor Hills intersection had been involved in 13 previous crashes, Los Angeles County prosecutors alleged Monday in charging her with murder. the driver, Nicole Lorraine Linton, 37 The Mercedes does not appear to slow before running a red light shortly after 1:30 p.m. The light had been red for nine seconds before the car barreled through the intersection, slamming into multiple cars, prosecutors said. White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre on Tuesday repeatedly refused to answer questions about the unprecedented raid on Trump’s Florida residence. More than 3 dozen federal agents descended on Mar-a-Lago Monday, rifled through offices and breached a safe. KJP absurdly claimed that Joe Biden was not aware of the FBI raid. Biden learned about the raid from news reports, Karine Jean-Pierre told White House reporters on Tuesday. ABC’s Mary Bruce said, “You’re underscoring the independence of the Justice Department, but…are you concerned about how it looks for [them] to be investigating…the former President, who may very well be the current...

Lawmakers are pushing the Federal Reserve to move swiftly toward issuing a digital dollar, to combat steps from China and others they say could one day threaten the U.S. status as the global reserve currency. The bipartisan group of lawmakers, including Reps. Maxine Waters (D., Calif.) and French Hill (R., Ark.), has sought for the U.S. to counter global competitors launching digital versions of their currencies. The House Financial Services Committee, which both serve on, might vote on related legislation as soon as next month. Ms. Waters has framed competition over new forms of central-bank money as “a new digital...

A horrible thing that took place yesterday at Mar-a-Lago. We are no better than a third world country, a banana republic. It is a continuation of Russia, Russia, Russia, Impeachment Hoax #1, Impeachment Hoax #2, the no collusion Mueller Report, and more. To make matters worse it is all, in my opinion, a coordinated attack with Radical Left Democrat state & local D.A's & A.G's.
