Jemele Hill continues to do what Jemele Hill does: blame her failures on everyone else. It’s usually racism, but occasionally it’s misogyny and this week it’s her political leanings. In a puff piece written by USA Today, Hill claims she failed at ESPN because of the company’s “conservative culture” that didn’t allow her to be herself. The quotes came from an appearance Hill made on former ESPN’er Kenny Mayne’s podcast, “Hey Mayne.” Some of you may know, but for those who don’t, I used to work at ESPN. I detailed what it was like having non-liberal beliefs at that company....

Former President Trump laid into Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) on Sunday after Senate Democrats passed their long-awaited health care, tax and climate package. “Mitch McConnell got played like a fiddle with the vote today by the Senate Democrats,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “First he gave them the fake Infrastructure Bill, then Guns, never used the Debt Ceiling for negotiating purposes (gave it away for NOTHING!), and now this,” Trump said. “Mitch doesn’t have a clue – he is sooo bad for the Republican Party!”

The Ministry of Defence's statement said a slew of commanders have been dismissed as Putin rages at their failures. Specifically, the report claims: "The poor performance of Russia’s armed forces during its invasion of Ukraine has been costly for Russia’s military leadership, highly likely resulting in the dismissal of at least six Russian commanders since the start of hostilities in February 2022. "The commanders of Russia’s Eastern and Western Military Districts have highly likely lost their commands. General-Colonel Aleksandr Chayko was dismissed as Commander of the Eastern Military District in May 2022. "General-Colonel Aleksandr Zhuravlev, who has commanded the Western...

Former President Trump outlined steps for Republicans to take if they win back control of Congress in November during his speech Saturday at the Conservative Political Action Conference. Trump said the midterms need to be a “national referendum” on President Biden and Democratic control of Congress, and Republicans must ensure Democrats are dealt a “crippling” defeat. His speech at the convention in Dallas, Texas, concluded its third day. Trump pointed to candidates he backed in primaries like Tudor Dixon, the Republican nominee for governor of Michigan, and Kari Lake, who won the GOP nomination for governor of Arizona. He said...

In recent weeks, mainstream Japanese media, echoing their foreign counterparts, have begun reporting second thoughts about the wisdom of investments and corporate policies based on environmental, social and governance (ESG) concerns. This appears to be laying the groundwork for a revisionist pivot away from ESG and its close cousin, sustainable development goals (SDG), roughly five years after the twin utopian projects were launched. The religious overtones of woke capitalism never attracted true believers in Japan, in contrast to countries with a Christian heritage of sin, repentance, redemption and salvation. Nevertheless, Japanese executives dutifully donned SDG lapel pins and piously declared...

Dana Nessel’s office is attempting to accuse Constitutional Attorney Matt DePerno of gaining illegal and unauthorized access to a MI voting tabulator. The investigation, in which Nessel falsely attempts to tie to DePerno, involves a tabulator that was given by the Roscommon clerk to another MI attorney to be reviewed after the clerk became suspicious of the 2020 election results. The tabulator was taken to Oakland County, where an examination was allegedly performed, and the results were shared with Matt DePerno, who used the report to bolster his case in Antrim County. On December 14, 2020, Matt DePerno shared the...

Politics is downstream from culture. As the Biden administration and Democrats mainstream gender dysmorphia, the normalization of pedophilia and public displays of lewd behavior is becoming rampant across the United States. An 80-year-old woman was banned from using the YMCA community pool after complaining about a man dressed in a woman’s swimsuit watching little girls undress in the locker room of a YMCA in Washington state. The cross-dressing man also reportedly walked around the locker room naked while surrounded by the young girls. After swimming at the YMCA’s Mountain View pool on July 26, as she has regularly for 35...

Compared to the tyrannical political establishment, the freedom movement in Melbourne in Australia's leftist police state of Victoria is small and narrow - but it is tenacious, awake and beautiful. Pauline is engaged, charming and thoughtful. As a nurse forced out of work by her refusal to take the vaccine, she forms a a potent protest duo with her niece Mel, also a nurse forced out of work by her refusal to take the vaccine. https://freedom-demokrasi-and-civilised-humanity.com/tag/good-nurse-mel/ Such family strength can grow stronger, while tyranny inevitably turns in on itself and dies. They are the teachers who show others the way...

The Senate on Sunday passed the Democrats’ sweeping economic package that would allocate billions of taxpayer dollars to facilitate the expansion of the Internal Revenue Service’s workforce. The IRS would receive $80 billion if H.R. 5376, the $750 billion “Inflation Reduction Act” passes the House and lands on Biden’s desk. The funding would mark a 600 percent increase from 2021 when the bureau received $12.6 billion. The reconciliation package would also double the current IRS workforce by hiring an additional 87,000 employees to the bureau’s staff of 78,661 employees, a move that would make the IRS larger than the Pentagon,...

WTI oil prices have given up nearly all their gains since Russia invaded Ukraine, falling roughly 9.5% over the course of the week amid fears oil demand is collapsing. Some oil pundits are now claiming that the Biden administration has been fabricating low gasoline demand data in order to drag prices lower. While Gasbuddy claims there was a 2% rise in gasoline demand last week, the EIA reported a 7.6% drop in demand. [SNIP] The collapse in oil prices has been so epic and unexpected that some oil pundits are now accusing the Biden administration of fabricating low gas demand...

In 2015, Donald Trump burst on the scene with a megaphone, a populist message, an army of grassroots supporters — and not much else. If he runs for the Republican nomination again, as seems likely, it will be different. Early in his first presidential campaign, he had to be grateful for every small crumb of support from Republican officialdom — an endorsement from then-U.S. Sen. Jeff Sessions, or former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie. Now, Trump is a former president of United States who looms incredibly large over his party. He and his loyalists have forged a new establishment —...

Dutch farmers and the government failed to reach a deal on Friday on environmental plans that have sparked weeks of angry demonstrations. Farmers have blocked roads with manure and set fires to protest against plans to reduce livestock and even close some farms to cut down on nitrogen emissions. Talks on Friday produced "really too little", said Sjaak van der Tak, head of the LTO, the main Dutch farming union, adding that the "ball is in the government's court". The official overseeing the talks, Johan Remkes, said there was "grave crisis of confidence" between the farmers and the government of...

The U.S. Department of Justice filed a lawsuit Tuesday against Idaho, seeking to block the state’s trigger law which will ban abortions — with a few exceptions — beginning Aug. 25. Announcing the lawsuit in an Aug. 2 press conference, Attorney General Merrick Garland said the DOJ is suing the state because of a supposed conflict with a federal law that requires hospitals to provide stabilizing treatment to a person experiencing a medical emergency, regardless of their ability to pay. The lawsuit is the first legal challenge brought by the federal government against a state abortion restriction since the U.S....

The same day the Michigan Court of Appeals ruled that county prosecutors could enforce the state’s pre-Roe abortion ban, a judge issued a temporary restraining order to block its enforcement.(LifeSiteNews) — A judge temporarily blocked enforcement of Michigan’s pre-Roe abortion ban upon the request of Gov. Gretchen Whitmer. After a state court ruled August 1 that local prosecutors could enforce the 1931 ban, Judge Jacob Cunningham issued a temporary restraining order later that day to block the law’s enforcement, according to the Detroit Free Press. Cunningham wrote that “(Whitmer) has established that (prosecutors’) public statements that they will consider a...

Legendary Jiu-jitsu fighter Leandro Lo was fatally shot Sunday at a Sao Paulo concert, according to reports. A lawyer for the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu world champion confirmed that his client, 33, died after being declared brain-dead from the shooting, according to a report by MMA Fighting. The killing allegedly took place during a confrontation between Lo and Police Officer Henrique Otávio Oliveira Velozo, the outlet reported. When a significant number of House Republicans voted for a recent bill to recognize same-sex marriage at the federal level, those who most vocally made the case for the legislation were the younger members, especially Kat Cammack of Florida. The split in the GOP vote, with 47 voting in favor and 157 against, mirrors the divide within the wider conservative movement. At Young America’s Foundation’s National Conservative Student Conference last week, several students spoke to National Review about their receptiveness to a national gay-marriage law. But their views incorporated a respect not only for religious freedom but for the religious...
