Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán called on conservative political activists in Dallas on Thursday to join him and his European supporters in defeating progressive liberalism. Mr. Orbán, who addressed crowds as a featured speaker at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Texas, said he wanted to “unite forces” with American conservatives against progressives because “we Hungarians know how to defeat the enemies of freedom on the political battlefield.” “We Hungarians defeated communism, which was forced on us by Soviet troops and arms,” Mr. Orbán said. “It took a while. We began our fight in 1956 and won in 1990. But...

We no longer watch the football here in the shed (any football, as the commies have to come from somewhere and that place is the NCAA game). In fact we’ve been #BoycottNFL since 2012 when the league locked out the real referees, and we damn sure were not returning after the kneeling and other anthem / flag disrespect which began in the final exhibition game of 2016 on September 1 when Colin Kaepernick (28-30 career record, 3-16 in his last two seasons) introduced communism into the game. But that doesn’t mean we don’t see headlines and have opinions. Which brings...

BEIJING (AP) — China on Friday said it is canceling or suspending dialogue with the United States on a range of issues from climate change to military relations and anti-drug efforts in retaliation for a visit this week to Taiwan by U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. The Foreign Ministry said dialogue between U.S. and Chinese regional commanders and defense department heads would be canceled, along with talks on military maritime safety. Cooperation on returning illegal immigrants, criminal investigations, transnational crime, illegal drugs and climate change will be suspended, the ministry said.

'Top economists say Democrats’ health care and climate package will put ‘downward pressure on inflation,’” CNN informs us. And really, who are you, a mere mortal, to question the decrees of top economists? This kind of appeal to authority was popularized during the Obama years, when the then-president would say nonsensical things like, “Every economist from the left and the right has said, because of the Recovery Act, what we’ve started to see is at least a couple of million jobs that have either been created or would have been lost.” (Irritated italics mine.) Hundreds of economists, three of them...

This is the horrific moment an LA driver speeds through a red light before slamming into five cars at an intersection, killing six including an infant and a pregnant woman. The black Mercedes races past a gas station then smashes into the side of a traffic jam, causing a flaming inferno in the Windsor Hills district. It sends the vehicles screeching across the street before finally coming to a stop in a mangled wreck just feet away from rows of highly flammable pumps. The gut-wrenching pile up, between of South La Brea Avenue and Slauson Avenue, killed the pregnant woman,...

Hollywood resident Sara Blair has been living in the neighborhood for the last four years and every morning, she would head to the Starbucks on Hollywood Boulevard and Vine Street for her daily caffeine fix. By Wednesday morning, the green Starbucks logo had been removed from the front of the now-vacant building. The store was pitch black inside and the front doors were locked. That store is one of six Los Angeles locations that permanently shuttered at the end of July due to "a high volume of challenging incidents that make it unsafe to continue to operate," according to a...

Democrats have touted electric vehicles as the way of the future, but they have failed to address the setbacks of the still-developing technology. A new experiment has once again highlighted the problems leftists have failed to address. Journalists from MotorTrend set out to test the towing capacity of the 2022 Ford F-150 Lightning electric truck, and their findings were less than inspiring. From the start, journalist Eric Tingwall was less than confident in the truck’s towing abilities. “With the largest available battery pack, a fully charged 2022 Ford F-150 Lightning electric truck has less energy onboard than a regular F-150...

Viktor Orban, the Hungarian prime minister, told hundreds of conservatives in Texas on Thursday that his country defeated communism—and now America must do the same. Speaking at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Dallas, Orban told the crowd that America is fighting for its life against progressives and globalists, which are communists. “Don’t be afraid to call your enemies by their name,” he said. “They hate me and slander me and my country, as they hate you and slander you and the America you stand for.” Orban said the Democrats in the United States were not fond of him and...

The FBI director knows a lot about issues that matter to the Biden regime and the media. But he isn’t so savvy when it comes to issues that matter to Americans. It was time for him to fly. FBI Director Christopher Wray, testifying before the Senate Judiciary Committee for the first time since July 2021, insisted he had to leave the hearing by 1:30 p.m. sharp. (It began at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday morning.) Despite leading a scandal-ridden agency quickly losing the trust of the American people and congressional Republicans, Wray somehow believes that setting aside less than four hours...

IPray For The Peace of JerusalemExodus 2The Birth of Moses 2 Now a man of the tribe of Levi married a Levite woman, 2 and she became pregnant and gave birth to a son. When she saw that he was a fine child, she hid him for three months. 3 But when she could hide him no longer, she got a papyrus basket[a] for him and coated it with tar and pitch. Then she placed the child in it and put it among the reeds along the bank of the Nile. 4 His sister stood at a distance to see...

Patrick Henry understood the dichotomy our forefathers faced. Patrick Henry understood the dichotomy our forefathers faced. And now we face the same options. We all see liberty slipping away -- no, being yanked out of our hands by forces so evil we can barely wrap our Pollyanna brains around it. Here? This can be happening here? We warn about losing our freedom. We give examples -- COVID mandates, travel restrictions, educational issues, etc. ad nauseam -- but Biden supporters still exist. RINO Republicans still exist. The swamp is still full of monsters. The situation has made me realize that too...

Leaders in the Democratic Party are backing legislation to reduce carbon emissions. Some of them are also sponsoring bills that would expand the cannabis industry, ranging from the MORE Act to the Safe Banking Act and now the Cannabis Administration and Opportunity Act just introduced by Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY). Co-sponsors have publicly chastised President Joe Biden for not doing enough to help in their effort. They are seemingly unaware that although today’s cannabis may seem “green” - after all, it traps carbon dioxide in organic material and generates oxygen in the process - its similarity to other...

The trick of Western totalitarians has been to slowly embrace totalizing control over our lives. Everyone senses that the American economy under Joe Biden is in a rut. Inflation is at a 40-year high. Energy prices are skyrocketing. The prices of all goods and services going up. Meanwhile, the administration does little to alleviate these regular everyday problems. This is by design. Since the Industrial Revolution there have been two approaches to economics. One, sometimes called laissez-faire, is really a decentralized form of economic organization and productivity in which individuals, civil society, and private organizations have broad freedom to act...

Shipments to iPhone assembler Pegatron's factory in China were being held for scrutiny by Chinese customs officials a day after the company's senior executive met with U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi in Taipei during a visit that has drawn harsh condemnation from Beijing. The shipments to Pegatron's Suzhou facility, which makes a wide range of products for American clients like Microsoft and Tesla, were being checked on Thursday to see if they violated a rule against cartons carrying the words "Taiwan" or "Republic of China" -- the island's formal name -- multiple sources familiar with the matter said. Pegatron Vice...

Good grief! Get a load of today's immigration story in the New York Times. It is some of the best unintentional comedy of this election cycle. First, some context: The Biden administration, with its incoherent immigration policy, has been causing a humanitarian disaster that is completely overwhelming border communities in Texas and Arizona. At resident Joe Biden's direction, the Border Patrol is now forced to process and release thousands of illegal border crossers into small towns and cities in South Texas, such as Del Rio and Laredo. These municipalities are completely unequipped to deal with this Biden-generated crisis. **SNIP** At...

Apple has asked suppliers to ensure that shipments from Taiwan to China strictly comply with Chinese customs regulations after a recent visit by senior U.S. lawmaker Nancy Pelosi to Taipei stoked fears of rising trade barriers. Apple told suppliers on Friday that China has started strictly enforcing a long-standing rule that Taiwanese-made parts and components must be labeled as being made either in "Taiwan, China" or "Chinese Taipei," sources familiar with the matter told Nikkei Asia, language that indicates the island is part of China. The U.S. tech titan urged suppliers to treat the matter with urgency to avoid possible...

-China is halting cooperation with the United States in a number of areas, including dialogue between senior-level military commanders and climate talks, in retaliation for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's visit to Taiwan, it said on Friday. China's foreign ministry also said that it was also suspending cooperation with Washington on prevention of cross-border crime and drug trafficking, and on repatriating illegal migrants, among eight specific measures. In a statement released soon after Pelosi left Japan on the final leg of her Asian tour, China also cancelled a planned bilateral meeting on a maritime military security mechanism. Beijing separately announced that...

The Frederick County Council president lost her reelection bid by three votes, and both she and the council’s vice president lost to first-time candidates, according to unofficial primary election results from Friday, the final day of ballot counting…The second member of the County Council’s leadership duo, Vice President Michael Blue, lost the Republican nomination for the District 5 seat to 18-year-old Mason Carter, who helped form a Republican club at Walkersville High School before graduating in May.
