The June inflation numbers are a disaster, coming in at a 40-year high of 9.1%. After the Biden administration’s repeated victory laps crowing about “ the fastest-growing economy in the world ” and how we’re “ stronger economically ” than ever, the downward spiral is feeding a growing consensus that President Joe Biden and his Democrats in Congress are actively making things worse. According to official numbers , prices rose 1.3% on the month, which translates to an annualized pace of nearly 17%. Controlling for manipulated housing statistics , the numbers are even worse: 1.7% on the month , which...

The slow drip of revelations about the Russiagate scandal has diminished the significance of the most important truth about it: that it was a Hillary Clinton campaign operation. The campaign paid for the notorious Steele dossier via its law firm, Perkins Coie, and Fusion GPS. Hillary Clinton herself personally approved of the campaign’s decision to disseminate materials related to the Alfa Bank hoax - the false charge that servers at Trump Tower had a secret communications link with a Russian bank - even though the FBI was able to prove quickly that no such secret link existed. In some ways,...

Space entrepreneur Robert Bigelow donated $10 million to the reelection campaign of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis on Thursday, according to the Friends of Ron DeSantis committee. Bigelow, the founder of Budget Suites of America, has also invested in other projects including Bigelow Aerospace and National Institute for Discovery Science. The entrepreneur garnered attention after telling a “60 Minutes” host that he was “absolutely convinced” after she asked if he believed in aliens. Bigelow told the show that he believes aliens are “right under people’s noses” on Earth. Bigelow is a conservative Republican who previously offered words of support for former...

This week’s White House Report Card finds President Joe Biden abandoned by his base, with 64% of Democrats hoping he doesn’t run for reelection and 94% of younger voters (a group he won by 24 percentage points in 2020) agreeing. Not only did the economy continue to crater this week, but Biden tripped his way through the Middle East, raising eyebrows in Israel and with Palestinian officials, and giving Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman al Saud a friendly fist bump that drew sharp criticism from the president’s allies and friends, including Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) and the Washington Post....

Three months ago in our quarterly list of the top 10 most likely Democratic candidates for president in 2024, we changed things up. For a while, we had been ranking only the candidates not named Joe Biden. In the seemingly unlikely scenario he didn’t run again, the idea was, here’s who would be next in line. [Snip] 10. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez 9. Roy Cooper (North Carolina governor) 8. Gretchen Whitmer (Michigan governor) 7. Gavin Newsom (California governor) 6. Bernie Sanders 5. Elizabeth Warren 4. Amy Klobuchar 3. Kamala D. Harris 2. Pete Buttigieg 1. President Biden (Brandon)

**SNIP** But it is tough to be John Kerry right now. It didn’t have to be this way. The 40-year political veteran and current “Special Presidential Envoy” - commonly referred to as the “International Climate Czar” - has come under intense scrutiny lately for both his lifestyle - which runs counter to his eco-centric messaging - and his refusal to answer basic questions about the finances of his State Department division, including its size, payroll and specific mission. Let’s unpack the extreme hypocrisy on both. While Kerry regularly rails against fossil fuel use and their effects on the “existential threat...

After the testimony of former White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson, is there any doubt that Donald Trump fomented the insurrection on Jan. 6, 2021? There are no longer any innocent explanations for what he did that day. Select Committee testimony has demonstrated that he knew he had no good factual or legal basis for his claim that the election was stolen, that he knew Vice President Mike Pence was not going to save him and that his only chance to remain in the White House was to stop the final ratification by Congress on Jan. 6. The testimony has also...

“Let a bear robbed of her whelps meet a man, rather than a fool in his folly. Whoso rewardeth evil for good, evil shall not depart from his house. The beginning of strife is as when one letteth out water: therefore leave off contention, before it be meddled with” (Proverbs 17:12-14).

A judge in Tennessee has temporarily banned two federal agencies from enforcing directives issued by the Biden administration that extended protections for LGBTQ people in schools and workplaces, like allowing transgender people to use the bathroom of their choice. US District Judge Charles Atchley Jr. on Friday ruled for 20 state attorneys general who sued last August claiming the Biden administration directives infringe on states' rights. The ruling could prevent students from participating in sports based on their gender identity or requiring schools and businesses to provide bathrooms and showers to accommodate transgender people.

Do you think the GOP will win a landslide victory in the November midterms? Do you think it will be a cakewalk? Boy are you naïve. I’ve been warning about what’s coming for many months on my nationally-syndicated radio show “Wayne Allyn Root: Raw & Unfiltered” on USA Radio Network. It’s all starting to happen just as my crystal ball predicted. First, I’ve been warning nonstop that Democrats are planning to steal the 2022 midterms, just like they stole the 2020 presidential election. More on that in a moment. Second, I’ve been warning that Democrats (and their PR wing in...

Today’s Gospel at Mass is the very familiar one of Martha and Mary. Martha is the anxious worker seeking to please the Lord with a good meal and hospitality. Mary sits quietly at his feet and listens. One has come to be the image of work, the other of prayer.Misinterpreted? In my fifty-two years I have heard many a sermon that interpreted this Gospel passage as a call for a proper balance between work and prayer. Some have gone on to state that we all need a little of Martha and Mary in us and that the Church needs both...

A former Southwest Airlines flight attendant who was fired after sparring with her union president over abortion won a $5.3 million jury verdict against the airline and the union Thursday. A jury in a Dallas federal district court handed down the verdict, ruling Charlene Carter had been fired for her religious stance on abortion, which she shared to social media, and that her termination was in violation of her right to advocate against her union. If it stands, Carter could collect $4.15 million from Southwest and $950,000 from Local 556 of the Transport Workers Union, mostly in punitive damages. Southwest...

A petition in Ukraine calling for same-sex marriage to be legalised has gained enough signatures for the president to consider the proposal. The petition has more than 28,000 signatures, meaning President Volodymyr Zelensky now has 10 days to respond. Homosexuality is not illegal in Ukraine, but same-sex marriages and civil partnerships are not recognised. This has caused particular problems for LGBT people signing up for the military following Russia's invasion. For example, under Ukrainian law if someone in a same-sex relationship dies, their partner cannot collect their body or bury them. The online petition says: "At this time, every day...

Whines to Dem Donors First lady Jill Biden complained in front of donors in Nantucket on Saturday, while delivering a speech at a fundraiser. Speaking about her husband, President Joe Biden, the first lady appeared saddened by what was happening to the world during his presidency. “He had so many hopes and plans for things he wanted to do, but every time you turned around, he had to address the problems of the moment,” she said. Biden spoke to about two dozen guests at the fundraiser for the Democrat National Committee, setting aside her prepared remarks for a frank discussion....

Lately, beachgoers on Long Island have had to be on the lookout for more than just sun and fun. There have been five shark attacks in just the last two weeks. Among them was a Fire Island lifeguard who was bitten on the foot. At one point, two people were attacked on the same day. And an Arizona tourist was bitten on the hand and buttocks while standing in waist deep water, suffering wounds to his lower leg while he surfed.
