A group of students at Boston University has brought a vending machine to campus that dispenses Plan B at a lower cost for students, NBC Boston reported. Plan B, also known as the morning-after pill, is a form emergency contraception that can prevent pregnancy after unprotected sex or when another birth control method might’ve failed. The vending machine, one of the first of its kind in the country, is located in the basement of the student union on Boston University's campus, NBC Boston reported. Instead of snacks, the machine is stocked with a generic version of Plan B (levonorgestrel) sold...

On the fourth line of section 1 of the voter registration form linked in the AT article, her last name for prior registration is Robison. Why is the “n” omitted when her prior registration last name is listed?

At one point during the incident a customer who...

Suborbital space tourism provider Virgin Galactic announced Thursday (July 14) that it will build its next-generation Delta class space planes at a manufacturing facility in Mesa, a suburb of Phoenix. The company, which just last week announced a deal to build a new set of carrier planes for the Delta spaceships, said that the newly leased facility could produce up to six spaceships a year and will bring hundreds of jobs to the area. Construction is underway on the facility, which is adjacent to the Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport, and it should be ready to go in 2023, Virgin Galactic said...

Reporter’s notebook: OPB science reporter Jes Burns shares a strange tale of “crabotage” that emerged as scientists aboard the research vessel Thompson tried to answer complicated questions about the Axial Seamount. Being out on the research vessel Thompson in the middle of the ocean means never really hearing the ocean at all. There’s engine noise and exhaust blowers and climate control and winches and wind — but very few actual waves. Being out on a research ship 250 miles away from land means the science never stops. It’s a 24-7 buzz of prepping, deploying and recovering geologic sensors trying to...

Issue: July 13, 2022 https://reclaimthenet.org/wef-restricting-certain-actors-defi WEF pushes for restricting “certain types of actors and transactions” from using decentralized finance Kicking people out of the financial system. Like the response to trucker protests in Canada demonstrated earlier in the year, a centralized and tightly controlled financial system makes it very easy to punish those participating. On a much bigger scale, the same is true of entire countries – if they are dependent solely on centralized international systems, they can be cut off at any point, and those in control of the systems can use them as very effective weapons. But the...

This Sunday, as we continue to accompany Jesus on his fateful journey to Jerusalem in the Gospel of Luke, we are confronted with a pair of Readings in which human beings host a meal for God: Abraham for the LORD in the First Reading; Martha and Mary for Jesus in the Gospel. But is it really possible for us to “do God a favor” by giving him a nice meal? We are going to discover that, while God graciously accepts our services, it’s really about what God does for us, not what we can do for him. 1. The First...

Former President Donald Trump holds a strong lead among Texas Republican primary voters in a hypothetical 2024 GOP primary race, a CWSResearch/DefendTXLiberty survey released this week found. “If the upcoming 2024 Republican Primary for president were held today, and the candidates were Donald Trump, Ted Cruz, Ron DeSantis, Greg Abbott, Glenn Youngkin, Nikki Haley, and Mike Pence, for whom would you vote?” the survey asked. Trump holds a strong lead with 45 percent support — 19 percent ahead of his closest challenger, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R), who came in second with 26 percent support. That number speaks to DeSantis’s...

...The Farmer-Labor Party carried more than a tinge of communism, an ideology which repelled Humphrey. This presented few problems during wartime when the U.S. was allied with the Soviet Union, but when the war ended and the Cold War began the communists threw their weight behind Moscow. Despite the Midwest’s long tradition of non-interventionism, Humphrey believed that the failure to confront Hitler earlier had encouraged eventual war and he was deeply committed to an anti-communist foreign policy, which the communist elements of the DFL opposed. “We’re not going to let the political philosophy of the DFL be dictated from the...

John Sweeney, a prominent British investigative journalist who has long covered Russian President Vladimir Putin, wrote in his new book that he feels the leader looks "seriously ill" with puffy cheeks that make him resemble a hamster. In his forthcoming book (out July 21), Killer in the Kremlin, Sweeney described changes he has noticed in Putin's demeanor and physical appearance that he said scare him. He theorized the use of steroids for Putin's changes, noting the president could have started taking the medication years ago to treat a back injury sustained after falling off a horse. According to Sweeney, this...

An asteroid the size of a 50-story skyscraper will zoom past Earth Sunday (July 17), making its closest approach to our planet in nearly 100 years. The meaty space rock, dubbed 2022 KY4, will safely miss Earth by about 3.8 million miles (6.1 million kilometers), or more than 16 times the average distance between Earth and the moon, according to NASA. This is considerably farther afield than the asteroid 2022 NF, which came within 56,000 miles (90,000 km) — or about 23% the average distance between Earth and the moon — on July 7. Asteroid 2022 KY4 is about 290...

The Federal Reserve isn’t soothing me with their rate hikes. As The Fed has been raising their target rate and beginning to shrink their balance sheet, we are seeing Q3 Real GDP slipping further down the rabbit hole to -1.5%. The culprit? Friday’s retail trade, import/export prices and industrial production. Time for some tequila to soothe me, since The Fed or the Biden Administration won’t help.

I m really thinking it’s time for someone to do a wellness check on Gavin Newsom. The California governor has recently developed an incredibly odd obsession with the governor of a state that resides over 2,000 miles away. Of course, I’m talking about Ron DeSantis and Florida, which has become one of the fastest growing, most prosperous states in the union. Emigration from California to Florida (and other red states) has been at extremely high levels over the last several years, and that’s not a coincidence. DeSantis made his state a safe haven from COVID-19 hysteria, including lockdowns and mandates....

I was restricted by Facebook for 30 days because I posted on a WMAL group page that "I love Chris Plante's accent of Joseph Goebbels. I could hear it for hours!" They removed my comment and restricted my account. FROM WMAL: "In hour 2, Chris talks to show super-fan Silvie in Waldorf who was sent to Facebook jail for naming an impression that she enjoys hearing Chris perform, and they discuss information dominance and the left. Also, Chris loves a story about Lesbians and Trans people, because now if you're a lesbian who won't sleep with men you're an anti...

The globalist billionaire who funded the woke transformation of Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello paid for a similar overhaul of James Madison’s house — where the author of the US Constitution has been shoved into a supporting role, while slavery and racism take center stage. No American flags fly at Montpelier, Madison’s plantation home in rural Virginia, and not a single display focuses on the life and accomplishments of America’s foremost political philosopher, who created our three-branch federal system of government, wrote the Bill of Rights and the Federalist Papers, and served two terms as president. Instead, blindsided tourists are hammered by...

UTVs with antitank guided missiles have been a staple in the conflict. The Drive reports that the Ukrainian military has been using UTVs, thought to be Polaris Rangers and Polaris MRZR Alphas, armed with Stugna-P antitank guided missiles to combat Russian tanks. These antitank guided missiles, or ATGMs, can be mounted on vehicles, shoulder fired, or launched from the ground. There have been reports of Ukraine’s military using UTVs as far back as 2019, before the current conflict with Russia. Some of these have been seen with ATGMs mounted on them while others seem to just be used as transportation....

In a bid to refute contentions that they are indifferent to public suffering at the gas pump, Democrats at both the federal and local levels are taking bold steps to limit how much drivers pay to fuel their vehicles. US Secretary of the Treasury Janet Yellen announced a global price cap on the price Russia will be allowed to charge for its exported petroleum. “Events since the start of the war in Ukraine indicate that our efforts to boycott Russian oil have been thwarted by other countries,” Yellen complained. “Instead of being hurt by their aggression against Ukraine Russia has...

ATLANTA - Republican Herschel Walker’s $6.2 million in fundraising looked impressive when unveiled Wednesday, until Democrat Raphael Warnock rolled out his $17.2 million total a half-hour later. The dueling Senate campaign numbers underlined two truths. Georgia is again going to be one of the most expensive races to run for office in 2022, and Democrats are building a strong fundraising advantage. Like Warnock, Democrat Stacey Abrams heavily outraised incumbent Republican Brian Kemp in the race for governor, collecting almost $50 million compared to the $31 million Kemp has brought in over a longer period. Abrams and Warnock plan to run...
