A new mural in the city of Georgetown, Texas, is generating controversy for its support of LGBTQ ideology. Members of one church who spoke out against public subsidies for sexual politics at a city council meeting believe their subsequent eviction from the Georgetown Palace Theatre was retaliation for their speech. The mural is part of a jointly sponsored initiative between the Georgetown Independent School District (GISD), Georgetown City Council, and the Georgetown Arts and Culture Board to display the work of one student artist a year. Under the agreement, GISD sponsors materials up to $500, and the city is responsible...

[H/T Grey_Whiskers]If you want to know the future, look at the past. – Albert EinsteinWalter M Chesnut16 hr ago This is my most important finding to date.I believe I have made a very significant breakthrough this evening. As I am certain we are dealing with a lab created pathogen that induces amyloidosis in humans (at least, perhaps other species, too?) I decided to investigate what has been done in the past, as the mechanisms I am looking for, I do not believe I would find in the natural pathogenesis of amyloidosis.Indeed, there is an extensive history of amyloidosis being experimentally...

FIFTH WEEK OF EASTER JOHN 15:1-8 Friends, in today’s Gospel, Jesus declares that he is the vine and we are the branches who must remain in him. If we ourselves do not participate in who Jesus is, we miss the spiritual power that he meant to unleash. If John’s Gospel is any indication, Jesus does not want worshipers but followers, or better, participants: "I am the vine, you are the branches; live on in me; my body is real food and my blood real drink. The one who feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me and...

Unfortunately, Zelensky’s leadership and the outpouring of international military and humanitarian assistance it has elicited have not prevented a shocking level of destruction to Ukraine’s cities, economy, and society. The fact that Kyiv has not fallen and Russian troops have retreated to the east masks that Ukraine is in worse shape than portrayed in the media.Russia now controls significantly more Ukrainian territory than before February 24. Putin’s army holds Kherson, whatever is left of Mariupol, all the intervening territory, and now not only Luhansk and Donetsk but the entire Donbas Oblast. For example, whereas Ukrainian authorities controlled approximately 60% of...

A recently completed National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration study found that a 50% decrease in air pollution particulates led to a 33% increase in Atlantic hurricanes. NOAA hurricane scientist Hiroyuki Murakami explained that "hurricanes need warm water to fuel them. The sun-blocking effects of particulates lower the temperature and act to reduce the quantity of warm water. Ironically, our successful effort to clear the air of these pollutants has made hurricanes worse." Biden's EPA Administrator Michael Regan called the effects "transitory. The potential for air pollutants coming out of China should more than make up for the reductions achieved in...

Former President Trump-backed Republican Ted Budd beat out former North Carolina Gov. Pat McCrory in the state’s GOP primaries on Tuesday night.Former President Donald Trump-backed Republican Ted Budd beat out former North Carolina Gov. Pat McCrory in the state’s GOP primaries on Tuesday night. Corporate media such as The New York Times snubbed Budd, a U.S. representative, for currying Trump and other key GOP politicians’ favor, skipping all four Republican primary debates, pushing for election integrity, and catching the eye of “major outside spending” groups that poured millions into boosting the Trump pick. Despite criticism, Budd, who campaigned on fighting...

The Department of Homeland Security is 'pausing' its controversial disinformation board just three weeks after it was unveiled following withering attacks from Republicans and conservative TV pundits. It was intended to combat misinformation but critics quickly homed in on the role of its chief, Nina Jankowicz, and her history fighting disinformation and extremism. In particular, they questioned her expertise after it emerged she had dismissed the 2020 discovery of Hunter Biden's laptop as being a 'Trump campaign product.'

Democrats have been bragging that ‘demographics is destiny’ for years. But a more diverse electorate isn’t voting the way they’d hoped. In the immediate aftermath of the massacre in Buffalo, New York, where a deranged white supremacist killed 10 people, elite opinion quickly settled on the real culprit: Republicans. The New York Times spelled it out explicitly in an editorial this week, claiming Republican politicians and conservative commentators like Tucker Carlson, “openly espouse versions of a white supremacist conspiracy theory holding that an orchestrated effort is underway to displace white Americans.” The Times is of course referring to so-called “replacement...

Palm Beach Circuit Court Judge Renatha Francis has already been seen checking out the Florida Supreme Court’s underground parking garage by St. Augustine Street; she let it be known she wants a coveted spot near the elevator to the justices’ chambers. Space in the exclusive, heavily fortified garage won’t be available until Aug. 31, when Justice Alan Lawson retires. But Francis can count on getting what she wants, according to a court insider who communicated with Florida Bulldog on condition of anonymity because the Lawson succession plan is top secret. “There is talk here that [Gov. Ron] DeSantis told the...
