KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — A video captured near a popular Gatlinburg attraction showing two large black bears engaged in an aggressive tussle has gone viral. Billie Jo and Micah Campbell recorded the video near Ely’s Mill in Gatlinburg on Monday, April 27 from a safe distance while inside a garage. The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency wrote on Facebook they believe that the altercation may have been over a food source as it is a bit early for bears to engage in a battle for dominance during breeding season, an assessment echoed by Zoo Knoxville Director of Animal Care, Conservation &...

Russia has warned that it will have to take “military-technical” steps in response to Finland’s application to join Nato. The foreign ministry accused the military alliance of seeking to create “another flank for the military threat to our country”. “Helsinki should be aware of its responsibility and the consequences of such a move,” the ministry added. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said: “The expansion of Nato and the approach of the alliance to our borders does not make the world and our continent more stable and secure”. When asked whether Finland’s accession to the military alliance would be considered a threat...

Normally it’s prudent to distrust the words that flow from the mouths of progressives. When they decry “voter suppression” what they’re really upset about is voter I.D.’s – linking ballots to real voters, which would frustrate their desire to rig elections. When they become outraged about a Supreme Court opinion on Roe v. Wade, it’s not loss of the ability to abort the unborn that concerns them, since overturning Roe would not outlaw abortion but merely take it out of the hands of 9 appointed lawyers, and put it in the hands of the popularly elected legislatures of the fifty...

Dr. Mehmet Oz, whose career as a TV doctor was boosted by Oprah Winfrey, is now running in the Republican primary for U.S. Senate in Pennsylvania. Dr. Oz was photographed with ‘Spirit Cooking’ specialist Marina Abramovic, who infamously appeared in the emails of Hillary Clinton 2016 campaign boss John Podesta, who scored an invitation to a “Spirit Cooking” ritual with Abramovic. The occultic symbolism evident in Abramovic’s work has been scrutinized for years. And yet Dr. Oz and Abramovic apparently had a very engrossing conversation with one another. Dr. Oz and Abramovic mingled closely at the American Turkish Society Gala...

This free-falling into a new America is becoming increasingly unlivable. For anyone over a certain age, this America, this culture, this society have become beyond foreign. It is not the country we grew up in and it is not the country we want to die in. It is alien. The obsession over hyper individualism is turning surreal. But then, is it not inevitable? Are these not the seeds planted of our own destruction? There is a reason our Founding Fathers agonized about what would happen with freedom in a society without virtue. So, where do we go and what will...

Ada County Clerk Phil McGrane is currently leading his 3-way GOP primary by a small margin according to recent polls from a few weeks ago (60% of voters were still undecided). Election day is rapidly approaching in Idaho on May 17th. Idaho is a solidly red state. But like in other red states Democrats are working to put imposters in office who support a liberal agenda. Phil McGrane solicited, accepted, and now defends taking “Zuckerbucks” that were used to benefit Democrats and stop Trump in 2020. There were two documentaries recently that explain how Zuckerbucks helped Democrats steal the 2020...

Supreme Court justices have faced harassment and intimidation after a pro-abortion group calling itself Ruth Sent Us posted a map to their homes. Justice Alito and his family, who wrote the draft opinion on abortion that had been leaked by leftists, have had to go into hiding at an undisclosed location. Had conservative protests outside the homes of Sotomayor and Kagan led one of them to go into hiding, the FBI would already be on the case and the media would be calling it an insurrection and a threat to democracy, but it’s not political terrorism when leftists do it....

Who then appear in videos wrapped in hijabs, saying they “willingly” embraced Islam and don't want to be searched for. Two stories of Coptic Christian women disappearing off the streets of Egypt that surfaced around the same time in the month of Ramadan, April, 2022, are a testimony to the ongoing prevalence of this phenomenon. On April 11, Simone Adel Isaac, a 15-year-old Coptic girl, disappeared. Her parents immediately carried out an extensive investigation, including by questioning her friends, until they determined that the brother of one of her Muslim schoolmates was behind her disappearance. The parents provided police with...

Last month, Harvard Law School deemed Israel in a report to the United Nations as “an apartheid regime.” They issued a 22 page report claiming that Israel systematically discriminates against Palestinians and suppresses their civil and political rights.” Harvard’s report “finds that Israel’s actions in the occupied West Bank are in breach of the prohibition of apartheid and amount to the crime of apartheid under international law.” Now, the editorial board of the Harvard Crimson, the student newspaper at Harvard University, has endorsed the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions movement. They also expressed support for Harvard’s Palestine Solidarity Committee, a student group...

When President Biden jumped into an Ohio congressional race to offer a surprise endorsement, progressives weren’t pleased. In the final stretch of a Cleveland area rematch, Biden threw his weight behind Rep. Shontel Brown (D-Ohio) over Biden critic and former state Sen. Nina Turner. Turner, an ally of Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), saw disparaging remarks she made about then-candidate Biden during the 2020 election come back to haunt her, including her comment to The Atlantic that voting for him would be equivalent to eating a “bowl of ****.”

Jordanian Prime Minister Bishar Khasawneh angered Israelis with his irresponsible statements in a session of the Jordanian Parliament last month (April 18, 2022). In an unusually hostile language for a high government official, he called Israel the “occupation government,” and Israelis, "Zionist sympathizers.” He said, "I salute every Palestinian, and all the employees of the Jordanian Waqf, who proudly stand like minarets, hurling stones in a volley of clay at the Zionist sympathizers defiling the Al-Aqsa Mosque under the protection of the Israeli occupation." In his inflammatory address, al-Khasawneh encouraged the Palestinian rioters on Temple Mount, who in advance of...

Sixty-five percent of voters think abortion laws should be established by voters and their elected representatives. That’s exactly what will happen if Roe is overturned. If the Supreme Court overturns Roe v. Wade, the conventional wisdom assumes that will help Democrats. The only question is how much. That assumption is based on years of polling, showing that a solid majority of voters oppose overturning that 1973 ruling. My own polling shows the same results. However, a deeper look at the data suggests that conventional wisdom may be wrong. Let’s begin with the reality that any poll asking whether voters want to...

One million Americans have now died from the coronavirus, according to an announcement made Thursday by President Joe Biden, marking a long-dreaded milestone for an incomprehensible tragedy. "Today, we mark a tragic milestone: one million American lives lost to COVID-19. One million empty chairs around the dinner table. Each an irreplaceable loss. Each leaving behind a family, a community, and a nation forever changed because of this pandemic. Jill and I pray for each of them," Biden said in a statement. "As a nation, we must not grow numb to such sorrow. To heal, we must remember."
