At the White House press briefing last Dec. 6, press secretary Jen Psaki made it clear that resident Joe Biden wanted the People's Republic of China to pay a price for its human rights abuses. He would do so by declining to send any U.S. government officials to the Beijing Winter Olympics, which would be held in February. "The Biden administration," Psaki said, "will not send any diplomatic or official representation to the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics and Paralympic Games given the PRC's ongoing genocide and crimes against humanity in Xinjiang and other human rights abuses." "U.S. diplomatic or official...

London’s leftist Mayor Sadiq Khan has joined the long list of political figures queuing up to tell Elon Musk how Twitter should be run in the future, insisting there should be “consequences” for the former president if he is perceived to misbehave on the platform in future. Speaking from California’s Stanford University on his tour of the United States, Sadiq Khan warned of the potential threat of Elon Musk allowing former President Donald Trump to return to the social media platform.

Going food shopping feels like getting punched in the gut. You pick up a whole roasting chicken, hoping it will feed four, and see the price: over $10 in many New York area stores -- a staggering $18 if the bird's organic. Apples are close to $3 a pound. And forget buying a steak; you might have to take out a mortgage. The Biden administration's woke policies are to blame for food-flation, making your trip to the supermarket sheer agony. resident Joe Biden is prioritizing climate preservation over your ability to feed your family affordably. His policies are driving up...

If you’re a reader of this blog, you likely are interested in current events. And therefore, it is also likely that you already know that on April 27 our Department of Homeland Security revealed (at a Congressional budget hearing) that it had set up something called its Disinformation Grievance Board. Secretary Mayorkas, who was testifying, stated that the DGB would not have operational authority, but would rather act as an advisory body to study best practices and provide guidance to the government on how to counter disinformation threats. The head of the new Board, who had already been named, is...

A negotiated end to the war in Ukraine is imperative, and the sooner the better. However, it will require Ukraine to make certain concessions to the warmongers who invaded their country. Doing so will be a bitter pill for Ukraine to swallow. These concessions are mostly symbolic. It will be distasteful, and morally unsatisfying. But prolonging the war in the hope of a decisive victory over Russia is a strategy fraught with peril and has few if any benefits. There is no guarantee Ukraine can defeat Russia, and losing on the battlefield will undermine Ukraine’s position. Plus, victory promises scant...

For the left, it’s not enough to hamstring a political opponent. The person must be completely destroyed. Shortly after Donald Trump was elected in November 2016, Obama’s deep state went after General Michael Flynn, whom Trump had named as his National Security advisor. After falsely accusing him of colluding with the Russians, the DOJ prosecuted him for lying to the FBI (and threatened his son) and, when that case collapsed, the judge refused to allow the DOJ to dismiss the case. Even though he was vindicated, the legal process impoverished Flynn. You’d think that, with his honorable career and his...

IPray For The Peace of JerusalemRevelation 21A New Heaven and a New Earth 21 Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,”[a] for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. 2 I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God...

IDF Spokesman Brigadier General Ran Kochav responds to an incident in which Al Jazeera correspondent Shireen Abu Aqleh was killed and rejects Palestinian claims that she was certainly hit by IDF fire. "We offered the Palestinians a joint investigation and they took the body, maybe they know why they refuse such a joint investigation," Kochav said in an interview with 103FM. According to him, following the Palestinians' refusal to jointly investigate, "they can blame whoever they want, because the truth is not their guiding light." _______ Exchange of fire in IDF operations in Jenin, al-Jazeera journalist killed Forces from the...

In 1955, an unmarried pregnant University of Wisconsin graduate student left her home and traveled to San Francisco to a doctor who took in unwed expectant mothers, delivered their babies and helped arrange adoptions. The baby son she delivered and put up for adoption grew up to become the legendary business and technology entrepreneur Steve Jobs. Had it been 1975, rather than 1955, there is a reasonable chance there would have never been a Steve Jobs. In 1975 America, after Roe v. Wade became law and where values markedly changed such that a young Catholic woman felt less shame to...

Facebook is at it again -- censoring the (Christian) victims of violence and sexual abuse while covering up for their (Muslim) abusers. A few months ago, I wrote about how Facebook had variously “punished” and censored me for writing about the Muslim persecution of Christians. The only explanation the “social media giant” gave was that I had offended its “standards.” If there were still any ambiguity as to Facebook’s true motivation, consider the following story which was reported by ReMix earlier this year: A UK-based Catholic charity has accused Facebook of censoring its campaign to protect Christian women who have...

Duplicity is fundamental to the Democrats’ entire political operation. They say one thing and do another, simple hypocrisy, and then double the duplicity by falsely accusing others of doing what they just did. This is progressive Democrats’ primary political tactic. Democrats claim that Republicans are racist. Yet progressives push an ideology, CRT, that labels white people as oppressors, they are the racists. They viciously attack black women such as Winsome Sears (Lieutenant-Governor of Virginia) and talk show host Candace Owens because they are conservative. Democrats’ duplicity is doubled as they exonerate progressive activists who hate and attack conservatives. Jay Rosen,...

Celebrities are naturally popular on Twitter, but it's annoying that liberals -- who insist they believe in facts and science and experts and nuance -- demand exactly none of that from celebrities. A family member asked me for a friendly fact check after former "Saturday Night Live" cast member Leslie Jones had a cow on Twitter over the leaked draft opinion on Roe v. Wade. There is a panic on the Left that red states will do anything to keep women from traveling out of their states for abortions. On May 9, Jones reposted a nine-second TikTok from the account...

Imagine that, after a narrow Joe Biden victory in November’s election, Donald Trump refuses to concede defeat — citing, among other things, alleged voter fraud in mail-in ballots. Imagine that this goes on for months, right up until Inauguration Day in January. Imagine huge protests in the streets on both sides, massive unrest that the police are unable or unwilling to contain. Imagine that some armed pro-Trump supporters, furious with what they see as a coup attempt, take matters into their own hands.

One of the mysteries of the Hunter Biden matter is how the resident's son, with no obvious sources of income, manages to maintain a grand lifestyle. For the last year or so, he has been living in a $20,000-a-month rental house in Malibu, California. (The taxpayers are footing the bill for the Secret Service to pay even more, $30,000 a month, to rent the house next door while protecting Hunter.) The younger Biden also likes nice cars; a 2020 photo showed him arriving for lunch at the Waldorf Astoria in a Porsche Panamera GTS, which costs six figures. Federal prosecutors...

Activists have convinced Americans that "organic" food is better -- healthier, better-tasting, life-extending. As a result, poor parents feel guilty if they can't afford to pay $7 for organic eggs. This misinformation is spread by people like Alexis Baden-Mayer, political director of the Organic Consumers Association. She says organic food is clearly better: "The nutrition is a huge difference." But it isn't. Studies find little difference. If you still want to pay more for what's called "organic," that's your right. But what's outrageous is that this group of scientifically illiterate people convinced the government to force all of us to...

The Azov Regiment on May 10 published photos of badly wounded Ukrainian soldiers who are still holding out at the Azovstal steel mill in Mariupol, even in the face of daily attacks by Russian forces. “The while civilized world must see the conditions in which our wounded and maimed defenders of Mariupol are, and act,” a message accompanying the photos reads. The wounded are being treated in poor sanitary conditions, lacking sterile bandages, medical supplies, and even food, the Azov soldiers said. They urged the UN and the International Committee of the Red Cross to act on their core values...
