The Azov Regiment on May 10 published photos of badly wounded Ukrainian soldiers who are still holding out at the Azovstal steel mill in Mariupol, even in the face of daily attacks by Russian forces.“The while civilized world must see the conditions in which our wounded and maimed defenders of Mariupol are, and act,” a message accompanying the photos reads. The wounded are being treated in poor sanitary conditions, lacking sterile bandages, medical supplies, and even food, the Azov soldiers said. They urged the UN and the International Committee of the Red Cross to act on their core values and humanitarian ideals, and to rescue the wounded, who are no longer combatants……

A month ago there were supposedly 2,500 still in Azovstal. Two weeks ago one of their commanders indicated there were 2,000 then.
When he was asked in the recent virtual press conference he would not disclose how many were currently left. Now, “According to Ukraine’s Deputy PM, Iryna Vereshchuk, around 1,000 Ukrainian troops remain holed up at Azovstal.”
The civilian hostages have all been evacuated (by the Red Cross and the UN) and heavy, continuous bombing has resumed.
I could post photos of the wounded from the Tigrayan War in Ethiopia all day long, in fact more have died in this war than in Ukraine. We have no interest in this war as we have no interest in Ukraine, unless you are part of the grift.
