Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem

Revelation 21
A New Heaven and a New Earth
21 Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,”[a] for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. 2 I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 4 ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’[b] or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”
5 He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”
6 He said to me: “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life. 7 Those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will be my children. 8 But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.”

Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem

Everlasting Father,
How Hallowed is Your Most Holy Name!
You Alone Are Worthy of Worship and Praise,
For You Alone Are The One True God,
Almighty and Eternal,
Rock of Ages,
Ancient of Days,
King of Kings,
and Lord of Lords!
You Are Our Peace,
Our Wholeness,
Our Shalom,
Our Security,
Our Prosperity,
and Our Future.
We are nothing without You.
Let all that has been Concealed
Be Revealed.
Father, We Pray For The Peace Of Jerusalem,
According To Your Will and Promise.
We Pray That You Will Forgive The Sins
of Our Own Nation,
and Lead us all to Godly Repentance.
Create in Us Clean Hearts, Oh LORD,
and Renew a Right Spirit Within Us.
This we Pray Together,
As We Await Your Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Set Up His Kingdom,
And Make All Things Right.
God Bless America.

Today's Vision is another one of those that can't be depicted adequately, no matter how great and imaginative the artist, or how advanced the medium. Just as a painting of The Grand Canyon can't compare with actually being there, no artist can capture the grandeur, the awesomeness, or the splendor of the New Jerusalem. But they try...oh they try. So, if today's illustrations remind you of a Borg Cube, or a golden Disney castle, or even a Lego structure, Please forgive me. I don't make 'em, I just post 'em.
Perhaps it is a good thing that this Vision can't be reproduced. And, since this entire series has been about Prayer, let us look at it from that viewpoint. Prayer is very personal, and it is impossible to reproduce in one person the prayer experience of another. Even the composing and reading of printed prayers means different things to different people. For one person, Psalm 23 brings extraordinary comfort and peace, to another it reminds her of a funeral. The Lord's Prayer is a model that Jesus Himself gave us, and yet it is used to adjourn meetings. A book of Daily Prayers may bless one person mightily, another person may find it shallow and meaningless. Some people like prayers that rhyme, like poetry. Others see the artifice involved in forcing rhyme and meter, and feel that it ruins the prayer's spontaneity. Sometimes our prayers gush out of us like water, other times we feel dry and "prayer-less". And, often, it is in those dry desert times that God speaks to us the most.
The more you pray, the more natural it becomes. Soon it becomes the "default setting" for your brain. It replaces complaint and worry, which most of us admit, occupy a lot of space in our minds.
Because of Current Events, I have no doubt in my mind that the events depicted in Revalation are not too far away. As we pray, for our Nation, for Our Family, and for Peace, we can sincerely add: "Even so, Come Quickly, Lord Jesus!"
Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.
"He was delivered up for our trespasses and raised for our justification." (Romans 4:25)
God Bless America.
Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.
Hallelujah and Amen

The New Jerusalem will be full of peace, overflowing with peace. It's so surpassingly wonderful that we have confirmed reservations.
So, until then: AMEN!

Psalm 34
Of David, when he feigned madness before Abimelech, so that he drove him out, and he went away.
1 I will bless the Lord at all times;
his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
2 My soul makes its boast in the Lord;
let the humble hear and be glad.
3 O magnify the Lord with me,
and let us exalt his name together.
4 I sought the Lord, and he answered me,
and delivered me from all my fears.
5 Look to him, and be radiant;
so your* faces shall never be ashamed.
6 This poor soul cried, and was heard by the Lord,
and was saved from every trouble.
7 The angel of the Lord encamps
around those who fear him, and delivers them.
8 O taste and see that the Lord is good;
happy are those who take refuge in him.
9 O fear the Lord, you his holy ones,
for those who fear him have no want.
10 The young lions suffer want and hunger,
but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.
11 Come, O children, listen to me;
I will teach you the fear of the Lord.
12 Which of you desires life,
and covets many days to enjoy good?
13 Keep your tongue from evil,
and your lips from speaking deceit.
14 Depart from evil, and do good;
seek peace, and pursue it.
15 The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous,
and his ears are open to their cry.
16 The face of the Lord is against evildoers,
to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.
17 When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears,
and rescues them from all their troubles.
18 The Lord is near to the broken-hearted,
and saves the crushed in spirit.
19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous,
but the Lord rescues them from them all.
20 He keeps all their bones;
not one of them will be broken.
21 Evil brings death to the wicked,
and those who hate the righteous will be condemned.
22 The Lord redeems the life of his servants;
none of those who take refuge in him will be condemned
