California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) vowed Monday evening to build a “firewall” around California in the form of a state constitutional amendment guaranteeing abortion as a right, after a draft Supreme Court decision reversing Roe v. Wade (1973) leaked. The decision, in the case of Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, concerns a Mississippi law passed in 2018 that bans all abortions abortions after the first 15 weeks into pregnancy. The case was heard by the Court last fall. At the time, observers believed that the Court was likely to uphold the Mississippi law, based on the comments of justices...

Republican lawmakers are calling for the person behind a leaked Supreme Court memo indicating the end of federal abortion rights to be 'brought to justice.' Conservatives throughout the country celebrated the news of a Supreme Court draft opinion that is set to overturn the landmark Roe v. Wade case - but have denounced the leak as an attempt to 'intimidate' the justices into changing their minds. Meanwhile progressives led Democrats' outrage over the stunning reversal of high court precedent, with some even renewing calls to end the Senate filibuster. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York and Senator Bernie Sanders of...

Following the bombshell report from Politico that according to a leaked draft of a Supreme Court decision which was written in February, the Supreme Court appears poised to strike down Roe vs Wade. As a result, MSNBC hosts Chris Hayes and Rachel Maddow were on the verge of a complete meltdown over the possibility that the states would have the ability to decide whether abortion is legal or not. The news broke at the end of Chris Hayes’s hour and during the handoff to Rachel Maddow, the two pro-abortion leftists discussed the news with each other. “I am absorbing this...

More than half of all US states have some kind of abortion ban law that is likely to take effect if Roe v Wade is overturned by the United States Supreme Court, according to a report. On Monday, a leaked Supreme Court draft opinion written by Samuel Alito and published by POLITICO revealed that the court has voted to strike down the landmark 1973 ruling, which legalized abortion in the United States. Alito wrote in part, 'Roe was egregiously wrong from the start.' The George W. Bush-appointed justice goes on to say that the issue of abortion should be returned...

The numbers: U.S. job openings climbed to a record 11.55 in March -- and the number of people quitting also hit an all-time high -- in another sign of a historically tight labor market. The number of people who quit jobs in March rose to 4.54 million, the Labor Department said Tuesday. Quits topped 4 million last summer for the first time ever. And it's now happened 10 months in a row, part of a pandemic-era trend that's become known as "The Great Resignation." Before the pandemic, the number of people quitting jobs averaged fewer than 3 million a month....

Hundreds of pro-choice activists took to the streets of Washington late into the night on Monday after news that the U.S. Supreme Court may overturn the 1973 Roe v Wade ruling which legalized abortion nationwide. A leaked initial draft majority opinion suggests the court has voted to overturn Roe v. Wade, Politico reported on Monday. The Supreme Court and the White House declined to comment. Abortion rights supporters could be heard shouting 'abortion is healthcare' and 'my body my choice' outside the court in what were often emotional scenes. Pro-life supporters were also present but in far smaller numbers with...

It turns out “breaking a norm” only counts when a Republican does it. Someone on the Supreme Court, almost certainly a liberal clerk, maybe even a liberal justice, has leaked the forthcoming decision about Roe v. Wade. “No draft decision in the modern history of the court has been disclosed publicly while a case was still pending,” Politico noted. “The unprecedented revelation is bound to intensify the debate over what was already the most controversial case on the docket this term.” And that’s exactly what this leaker wanted — to try to exert pressure on the Supreme Court. It’s beyond...

I didn't post the actual comic, in case it's a trademark issue. (I don't think it is, but just to be safe).Heard from my mother today that still gets the KC Star that they didn't have Dilbert in the paper today and that it would "return soon." A quick look online shows that the left is having a bit of a fit, because the storyline is a black engineer that is identifying as white, throwing a wrench into the company's diversity stats. It started yesterday, but she just saw it today.Just a little FYI that the censorship is a little...

No search results Billionaire Elon Musk blasted NBC in response to one of their hosts, Mehdi Hasan, going on a diatribe against Musk and the "Nazi" faction of the Republican party. Hasan downplayed the extreme actions of the far-left by saying they just want "free healthcare and free childcare" while saying the far-right wants to give the country "white supremacy and no democracy." Things are about to become worse with Musk buying Twitter, according to Hasan. "We may look back on this...as a pivotal moment when a petulant and not-so-bright billionaire casually bought one of the most influential messaging machines...

The overlords at Google/YouTube have banned the IFA video of our U.S. Senatorial Forum. Why? Because the topic of widely suspected voting irregularities during the 2020 election was briefly touched on during the forum. That is a “conspiracy theory” Leftists will not tolerate despite the mounting evidence. So, what conspiracy theories do they tolerate? Well, if you search the following topics, you will find a plethora of videos available:

President Joe Biden said women have a 'fundamental' right to an abortion and called on American voters to 'elect pro-choice officials this November' in Tuesday morning statement, hours after an explosive report that suggests the Supreme Court is poised to overturn Roe v. Wade. He also pledged the White House would be 'ready when any ruling is issued.' Less than 12 hours earlier, the Democratic leaders of Congress released a joint statement blasting the leaked opinion as an 'abomination' and accusing the high court's conservatives of 'ripping up the Constitution.' Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer then took to the Senate...

The U.S. is preparing for a potential spike in migrant children crossing the southern border without their parents, and has identified 19,000 beds at shelters and housing sites to prevent these minors from languishing in Border Patrol detention facilities, top Biden administration officials told CBS News. In interviews, Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra and Cindy Huang, the recently departed director of the Office of Refugee Resettlement, said officials are working to avoid repeating what occurred in 2021. Huang said HHS has nearly doubled shelter bed space since the start of the Biden administration, expanding it to 11,500 beds....

I wrote my Congressional representative, Nancy Mace, RINO-SC, and called her office. I wanted to know why the man inciting the January 6 riots was not arrested. I called her office, left message and did not receive a call back. I even talked with her at a town hall meeting, and she said she knew who Ray Epps is. No further comment. My Congresswoman is not representing me. She thinks that being a representative means only helping constituents receive their government benefits. Will those in power ever speak clearly on this issue?

New York City's Democrat Mayor Eric Adams apparently didn't want to miss out on the fun at Monday evening's Met Gala, and he showed up on the red carpet in a Big Apple-themed tuxedo emblazoned with symbols of his city and the words "END GUN VIOLENCE" scrawled across the back. It's a noble aim, if only there was someone in New York who could do something about the gun violence that, along with other crimes, continues to skyrocket. An executive of some kind in the city who could focus on strengthening law enforcement to crack down on violent criminals, perhaps...

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Maria Hernandez spent countless hours in Honduras imagining a stable life in Los Angeles reunited with the two young daughters U.S immigration agents took from her at the border in 2017. Instead, she and the children are living in a windowless homeless shelter a two-hour bus ride from the girls' schools, after a government program brought her to the United States earlier this year. U.S. President Joe Biden, a Democrat, came into office in January 2021 pledging to help families like Hernandez's that were broken up at the U.S.-Mexico border by former President Donald Trump's Republican...

A new phenomenon of constructing distinctive funerary monuments, collectively known as megalithic tombs, emerged around 4500 BCE along the Atlantic façade. The megalithic phenomenon has attracted interest and speculation since medieval times. In particular, the origin, dispersal dynamics, and the role of these constructions within the societies that built them have been debated. We generate genome sequence data from 24 individuals buried in five megaliths and investigate the population history and social dynamics of the groups that buried their dead in megalithic monuments across northwestern Europe in the fourth millennium BCE. Our results show kin relations among the buried individuals...

The authors combine pollen, spores, sedimentary DNA, and animal remains to characterize the pre-Neolithic habitat of the site, inferring partially open woodland conditions, which would have been beneficial to large grazing herbivores like aurochs, as well as hunter-gatherer communities. This study supports previous evidence that the Stonehenge region was not covered in closed canopy forest at this time, as has previously been proposed. This study also provides date estimates for human activity at Blick Mead. Results indicate that hunter-gatherers used this site for 4,000 years up until the time of the earliest known farmers and monument-builders in the region, who would...

President Biden expressed deep concern Tuesday about the draft Supreme Court opinion that leaked Monday night and appeared to reveal that a majority of five conservative justices intend to strike down Roe vs. Wade, ending nearly 50 years of federally protected abortion rights.

After a treasonous leak on Monday night reportedly revealed that the U.S. Supreme Court plans to strike down Roe v. Wade as part of its decision in Dobbs v. Jackson, leftists called for violence against SCOTUS, its justices, and the nation’s political system. Ian Millhiser, a senior correspondent at Vox, was one of the first to use incendiary language to describe the leaked ruling. “Seriously, shout out to whoever the hero was within the Supreme Court who said ‘REDACTED it! Let’s burn this place down,'” he tweeted shortly after the leak surfaced. Other blue checkmarks on Twitter called for the...
