House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) wants the federal government to spend $45 billion on yet another COVID-19 stimulus package, nearly double what President Joe Biden’s administration had asked for in the last omnibus spending bill. Biden had initially asked for $22.5 billion in new emergency funding for the pandemic and Democrats had compromised to a $15.6 billion figure after Republicans objected. But even that compromise amount was cut from the $1.5 trillion omnibus bill that Congress passed last week, averting a government shutdown. On Thursday, Pelosi told reporters that she wants the Biden administration to ask Congress for even more...

The Federal Reserve is not mentioned in the movies “The Big Short” or “Margin Call”, but The Fed’s policy errors played a big role in the demise of Fannie Mae’s and Freddie Mac’s equity prices. Here is a chart of The Fed’s many policies errors. Let’s start with The Fed lowering rates too fast around the 2001 recession. They pushed their target rate from 6.5% in December 2000 down to 1.75% after one year and then down to 1% (PE1). As home price growth accelerated, The Fed engaged in their second policy error — raising rates too fast resulting in...

New York Times admits Hunter Biden's laptop is legitimate Everlasting, undying, soul-rending shame be upon you, Facebook and Twitter and Politico and all the others who covered up, denied and suppressed this newspaper’s true and accurate reporting about Hunter Biden’s laptop in 2020. You should be hurling yourselves at the feet of the American people, begging forgiveness. You should be renting billboards saying, “WE LIED.” But most importantly, you should be hauled before Congress to answer humiliating questions. These and other information purveyors owe us — not just this paper, but this country — restitution for what now looks like...

Officials from the Biden administration met with Florida LGBTQ students and their families in a virtual roundtable concerning the now-dubbed "Don't Say Gay" bill and other legislative efforts advocates deem anti-LGBTQ. U.S. Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona and Rachel L. Levine, assistant secretary for health at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, listened to the students and their family members discuss concerns and fears about the impact of such bills. The two were advised on what resources could be provided to support the Florida LGBTQ community. "Laws around the country, including in Florida, have targeted and sought to...

ATLANTA — Lia Thomas took control in the final 100 yards of the 500-yard freestyle to make history Thursday as the first transgender woman to win an NCAA swimming championship. Thomas, the University of Pennsylvania senior who entered the NCAA women’s swimming and diving championships as the top seed, had a season-best time of 4 minutes, 33.24 seconds. “I didn’t have a whole lot of expectation for this meet,” said Thomas, a former male swimmer for Penn State. “I was just happy to be here and race and compete the best I could.” Virginia’s Emma Weyant was second at 4:34.99....

The names of Terry Aultman and Brenda Aultman are not well known, but they should be, more so than that of George Floyd. George Floyd was a repeat offender with a long rap sheet who was resisting arrest at the time of his death. He did not deserve to die, but unlike the Aultmans, he was not just an innocent bystander. George Floyd died while being restrained by a white police officer, Derek Chauvin, who was convicted of second-degree unintentional murder, third-degree murder, and second-degree manslaughter, and later pleaded guilty to a federal charge of violating Floyd's constitutional rights. At...

"We know what we need to do, how to do it and at what cost. And we will absolute accomplish all of our plans," Putin said, insisting that the conflict was a necessary feat to prevent the...

The International Energy Agency said Friday that a shortage of oil supply worldwide tied to Russia's invasion of Ukraine can be countered with specific actions to reduce consumption that governments and citizens can take immediately. A report issued by the IEA on Friday includes a 10-point plan that it says "could lower oil demand by 2.7 million barrels a day within four months -- equivalent to the oil demand for all the cars in China." "As a result of Russia's appalling aggression against Ukraine, the world may well be facing its biggest oil supply shock in decades, with huge implications...

Russia has reiterated its threat to target arms shipments to Ukraine, with foreign minister Sergey Lavrov saying Friday that any cargo believed to be carrying weapons are “fair game” while vowing to block the transfer of Soviet-era S-300 air defense systems to Kyiv. “Any cargo moving into Ukrainian territory which we would believe is carrying weapons would be fair game,” Lavrov said in an interview with Russia Today. Slovakia has said that it is ready to send its S-300 system to Ukraine “immediately” provided that it receives a replacement to protect its own airspace.

It is no secret that Joe Biden isn’t really in control. Some ungodly cabal of puppetmasters is pulling the moron’s strings. From what we’ve seen so far, they aren’t brighter than their drooling charge. If they were, they wouldn’t let Ol’ Gropes speak in public. Ever. This is a man who isn’t all there. And he’s in almost complete control of the most powerful nation on Earth. He’s got his office, the Senate, the House of Representatives, and the mainstream media backing him up. George W. Bush was routinely scourged by the mainstream media for his occasional verbal gaffes. Compared...

After his firing, Cuomo allegedly leaked information about CNN president Jeff Zucker’s relationship with Allison Gollust, the network’s then-marketing and communications chief. Zucker was forced to resign soon after Cuomo’s termination. It doesn’t end here. Cuomo wants money—a lot of money. He claims he was wrongfully terminated, and that this episode has smeared his journalistic integrity. I’ll just leave that there with no comment. You can take all your swipes at him in the comments section below. So, how much does he want? Oh, just a cool $125 million

Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) said in 2020 that revelations about Hunter Biden’s authenticated “laptop from hell” is a “smear” campaign from the Kremlin. “We know that this whole smear on Joe Biden comes from the Kremlin. That’s been clear for well over a year now that they’ve been pushing this false narrative about the vice president and his son,” so-called “Pencil Neck Schiff,” told anchor CNN’s, Wolf Blitzer.
