Officials from the Biden administration met with Florida LGBTQ students and their families in a virtual roundtable concerning the now-dubbed "Don't Say Gay" bill and other legislative efforts advocates deem anti-LGBTQ. U.S. Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona and Rachel L. Levine, assistant secretary for health at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, listened to the students and their family members discuss concerns and fears about the impact of such bills. The two were advised on what resources could be provided to support the Florida LGBTQ community. "Laws around the country, including in Florida, have targeted and sought to...

ATLANTA — Lia Thomas took control in the final 100 yards of the 500-yard freestyle to make history Thursday as the first transgender woman to win an NCAA swimming championship. Thomas, the University of Pennsylvania senior who entered the NCAA women’s swimming and diving championships as the top seed, had a season-best time of 4 minutes, 33.24 seconds. “I didn’t have a whole lot of expectation for this meet,” said Thomas, a former male swimmer for Penn State. “I was just happy to be here and race and compete the best I could.” Virginia’s Emma Weyant was second at 4:34.99....

The names of Terry Aultman and Brenda Aultman are not well known, but they should be, more so than that of George Floyd. George Floyd was a repeat offender with a long rap sheet who was resisting arrest at the time of his death. He did not deserve to die, but unlike the Aultmans, he was not just an innocent bystander. George Floyd died while being restrained by a white police officer, Derek Chauvin, who was convicted of second-degree unintentional murder, third-degree murder, and second-degree manslaughter, and later pleaded guilty to a federal charge of violating Floyd's constitutional rights. At...

Russian President Vladimir Putin held a rally on Friday in Moscow to support his position regarding the Ukrainian invasion, and pundits have drawn comparisons between the current situation and Nazi Germany. As Russia's war with Ukraine continues into the 23rd day, Putin spoke to a packed Luzhniki Stadium in the capital, attempting to rally Russia's citizens and defending the reasons behind the war. "We know what we need to do, how to do it and at what cost. And we will absolute accomplish all of our plans," Putin said, insisting that the conflict was a necessary feat to prevent the...

The International Energy Agency said Friday that a shortage of oil supply worldwide tied to Russia's invasion of Ukraine can be countered with specific actions to reduce consumption that governments and citizens can take immediately. A report issued by the IEA on Friday includes a 10-point plan that it says "could lower oil demand by 2.7 million barrels a day within four months -- equivalent to the oil demand for all the cars in China." "As a result of Russia's appalling aggression against Ukraine, the world may well be facing its biggest oil supply shock in decades, with huge implications...

Russia has reiterated its threat to target arms shipments to Ukraine, with foreign minister Sergey Lavrov saying Friday that any cargo believed to be carrying weapons are “fair game” while vowing to block the transfer of Soviet-era S-300 air defense systems to Kyiv. “Any cargo moving into Ukrainian territory which we would believe is carrying weapons would be fair game,” Lavrov said in an interview with Russia Today. Slovakia has said that it is ready to send its S-300 system to Ukraine “immediately” provided that it receives a replacement to protect its own airspace.

It is no secret that Joe Biden isn’t really in control. Some ungodly cabal of puppetmasters is pulling the moron’s strings. From what we’ve seen so far, they aren’t brighter than their drooling charge. If they were, they wouldn’t let Ol’ Gropes speak in public. Ever. This is a man who isn’t all there. And he’s in almost complete control of the most powerful nation on Earth. He’s got his office, the Senate, the House of Representatives, and the mainstream media backing him up. George W. Bush was routinely scourged by the mainstream media for his occasional verbal gaffes. Compared...

After his firing, Cuomo allegedly leaked information about CNN president Jeff Zucker’s relationship with Allison Gollust, the network’s then-marketing and communications chief. Zucker was forced to resign soon after Cuomo’s termination. It doesn’t end here. Cuomo wants money—a lot of money. He claims he was wrongfully terminated, and that this episode has smeared his journalistic integrity. I’ll just leave that there with no comment. You can take all your swipes at him in the comments section below. So, how much does he want? Oh, just a cool $125 million

Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) said in 2020 that revelations about Hunter Biden’s authenticated “laptop from hell” is a “smear” campaign from the Kremlin. “We know that this whole smear on Joe Biden comes from the Kremlin. That’s been clear for well over a year now that they’ve been pushing this false narrative about the vice president and his son,” so-called “Pencil Neck Schiff,” told anchor CNN’s, Wolf Blitzer.

LISBON, Portugal (AP) — High energy costs are stoking unrest in parts of Europe, with Spain deploying more than 23,000 police officers amid a truckers’ strike Friday and farmers in France and Greece snarling traffic with their protests. Russia’s war in Ukraine has further pushed up costs for oil and natural gas in Europe, driving record inflation and making it ever more expensive for farmers and truckers to fuel their equipment and vehicles, afford fertilizer or keep up with other costs. In Europe, which is dependent on Russian oil and natural gas, the war worsened an energy supply crunch that...

Law enforcement agencies call it "crime tourism" -- groups of thieves from South America traveling to California to burglarize homes. Surveillance video released by Hillsborough police shows a burglary crew believed to be from South America targeting a luxury home. It's just one in a series of crimes involving burglars from out of the country, hitting homes in affluent communities up and down the state. Earlier this month, the Ventura County Sheriff's Office arrested a four-man crew that robbed a home in a Camarillo neighborhood. "This is crime tourism. They're coming here for the purpose of targeting neighborhoods," said Cmdr....

Getting a Covid jab could soon become a thing of the past, with researchers one step closer to an 'inhalable' vaccine. Penn State University scientists have already tested it on mice and said the results were 'encouraging'. Rodents given two doses of the so-called 'aerogel' had more antibodies in their lungs, nose and throat than ones given a fake vaccine. The researchers hope the targeted antibody response approach will be able to neutralise Covid at the point of infection. They hope the new technology — which could also be used against the flu — will have the power to prevent...

Doernbecher Children’s Hospital in Portland, Oregon is under fire after distributing material instructing children to “tuck” their genitals and put “your testicles inside your body.” Tucking is not just for males, the Doernbecher Children’s Hospital assures in its instructional guide that. “Tucking is moving the penis, testicles, or both out of the way. This makes the genital area look smoother and flatter,” the document notes. “Tucking can reduce any concerns you have about your body, how your clothes fit and how safe you feel in public. People of all genders can tuck.” The guide includes a disclaimer, warning readers that...

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Joe Biden’s campaign to unite the globe against the Russian invasion of Ukraine is being challenged not only by adversaries such as China but also by the world’s most populous democracy, India. An Indian government official said on Friday that the country will increase its imports of Russian oil, allowing it to boost energy supplies at a discount as its economy struggles to recover from the coronavirus pandemic. Although India isn’t alone in buying Russian energy — several European allies such as Germany have continued to do so — the decision conflicts with Biden’s efforts to...
