When Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered the country’s nuclear forces to go on high alert last week, he looked down a long table at his defense minister, Sergei Shoigu, who nodded in assent. ... Russian troops’ failure to quickly seize Ukraine, however, has shown Mr. Shoigu’s changes, while real, didn’t create the fearsome fighting force he touted. Poor logistics, flawed strategy and ill-prepared troops mean any victory will be immensely costly, and an occupation hard to sustain. ... “By agreeing to these assumptions and this type of operation, he has essentially thrown the Russian military into a disaster.”

The surveillance video shows three men, wearing masks, hoodies and gloves smashing a glass door, then walking in and ransacking Walter Dillon’s high-end sneaker store. The thieves can be seen methodically stuffing footwear into plastic bags, then running out and driving away. Dillon says it was over in just minutes. “That’s the car they was in, right there,” Dillon exclaims, pointing to a video screen. “I imagine they broke a glass, they broke a window, gained entry that way and took shoes and whatnot.” Dillon showed the video to 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS during a visit to his now-closed KKG Kickz...

I am not a prophet, but as of Feb. 28, 2022, here are a few of my opinions on the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Implications Globally The global birth pains are increasing in frequency and intensity. The price of oil and natural gas is increasing. Inflation will continue to increase, making global hyperinflation and an economic collapse more likely. Inflation will increase food prices, causing famine to spread in Ukraine and other parts of the world. The supply-chain crisis will grow worse, making shortages worse. Western weakness will embolden China, Iran, Turkey, and others, making wars and rumors of wars...

Former President Donald Trump joked about bombing Russia Saturday, saying the US should disguise its warplanes and use them for a mass attack, CBS News and the Washington Post reported. Speaking for 84 minutes at a gathering of some 250 Republican donors in New Orleans on Saturday, Trump said the US should bomb Russia heavily, then blame China for the incident to spark a war between the two countries. The US should “put the Chinese flag” on F-22 Raptor fighter jets, then “bomb the sh**” out of Russia, Trump joked, drawing laughs from those present, a source told CBS News....

U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken claimed he is looking “very actively” at a scheme for Poland to donate Soviet-designed jets to Ukraine and have them replaced with American jets — hours after the Polish government said the plan was “fake news”. “We are looking actively now at the question of airplanes that Poland may provide to Ukraine and looking at how we might be able to backfill should Poland decide to supply those planes,” Blinken claimed during a visit to Moldova, which borders Ukraine and, like its larger neighbour, involuntarily hosts Russian-backed separatist territory.

Federal government unions are going to be asking for pay raises due to the spike in fuel costs and the subsequent huge inflationary spike in goods that is going to result from that. The media will try to suppress this, not report on it, or downplay it. Meanwhile, the private sector is going to suffer horribly until the mid-term elections (where there will probably be cheating again) because the government can NOT raise interest rates very much due to resulting collapse in the housing/car/stock/other markets. Get ready.
