An Illinois appellate court rejected Gov. J.B. Pritzker’s appeal of a lower court's ruling against a mask mandate in schools, writing the request is “moot” because the governor’s emergency COVID-19 rules already expired. The highly-anticipated decision from the three-member panel of the Illinois Fourth District Appellate Court was published just before midnight Thursday. In their decision, the appellate court justices wrote there is no “actual controversy” to decide. “Because the emergency rules voided by the TRO are no longer in effect, a controversy regarding the application of those rules no longer exists. Thus, the matter is moot,” the justices wrote....

Denver’s elected auditor slammed DIA’s process for selecting operators for its restaurant, bar, retail and passenger service locations.. Denver International Airport’s process for selecting operators for its restaurant, bar, retail and passenger service locations isn’t fair and the incentive program the airport offers concessionaires should be ended, the city auditor says. Large numbers of police have also been spotted congregating in the Canadian capital – with reinforcements being called in from Quebec – a subtle indication they are planning to take a more hands-on approach with the protestors.

The truckers who remain on the street are adamant that they will not move. Though, they are concerned that the federal government will use force against them. Trudeau claims that the Emergencies Act will not violate the Canadian...
