It is better that I deal with this now,” Mariana Zhaglo, 52, told the Times of London in her Kiev kitchen, where she posed with the high-caliber weapon.

#DontBrowbeatMyPete 😡 I still haven’t stopped shaking after last night’s attack. Standing at the White House podium, the president of the United States — the most powerful man in the world — launched a violent incursion against my friend Peter Doocy, the finest reporter in history. Doocy is a true professional — as good as they get. He is my brother, my friend, my colleague, my inspiration, my valentine, my muse. He is a light shining in the darkness, a petal of truth beneath a gloomy cloud of power, a luscious wave that breaks exquisitely onto the shore. Peter...

Sen. Ron Johnson held a five-hour-plus hearing on second opinions about COVID and vaccines. During the hearing, attorney Thomas Renz, representing three Defense Department officials, said the actual data showed, among other findings, a 300% increase in miscarriages, a 300% increase in cancer, and a whopping 1,000% increase in neurological disease in U.S. military. Mr. Renz, of Renz Law, also claims to have leaked DoD documents which show far more. Documents indicate that 60% of the hospitalized are vaccinated and as Delta Variant surged to over 50% in June, Covid-19 hospitalizations more than doubled, reversing the prior trend of decreasing...

A still-developing winter storm is set to become a major nor'easter that will bombard New England with heavy snow and blizzard conditions this weekend. Areas farther south in the mid-Atlantic will not escape the storm as several inches of snow and major travel disruptions are expected. "The area that we think will be hit the hardest and will be at risk for closures will be central and eastern Long Island to New England,” AccuWeather Chief On-Air Meteorologist Bernie Rayno said. AccuWeather forecasters were growing more confident on Wednesday that southern New England will face the most significant impacts and that...

I knew that I was tempting fate when I reposted a meme on my Instagram Stories joking about dodging golf balls at a driving range. That’s how I felt – having gone nearly two years into the pandemic without catching Covid. But then several weeks ago, my husband felt lightheaded and developed a bad cough. We agreed to have him go downstairs to our guest room and isolate from me and our daughter until he could get a test. The fastest and easiest way to get a test in our area in Virginia is not to get an at-home rapid...

The U.S. Navy has begun to make plans to recover the F-35C fighter jet that crashed Monday after striking the deck of an aircraft carrier in the South China Sea. The jet is the most advanced stealth fighter jet in the world and would have made an enticing target for China if it had attempted to recover it from the depths of the Pacific Ocean. The crash of one of the most advanced fighter jets in the world into international waters had fueled speculation that the U.S. Navy might quickly launch a salvage operation to prevent other foreign powers, especially...

In Australia it is now politically incorrect for patriots to celebrate Australia Day, the national holiday which marks the arrival of the First Fleet from England. Progressives want to call it Invasion Day or Survival Day to describe the dispossession of the original inhabitants of the continent. My preference is for more attention to be placed on the fact that January 26 is also General Douglas MacArthur's birthday. Not everyone agrees but to me he was a great man. Belittling the heroes of The West is not for me. There is so much to learn from them.

Ten days after the 1906 earthquake, Tony Accardo was born in Chicago’s Little Italy. Accardo was 14 when he dropped out of school. By 16, he was working for Jack “Machine Gun” McGurn, one of Al Capone’s hit men, and in his mid-20s, he was promoted to be Capone’s bodyguard. Two decades later, Accardo had risen to the top of the Chicago Outfit, one of America’s most-feared organized crime families. This Sunday, 116 years after Accardo was born, his great-grandson Nick Bosa — a boss of a very different sort — will take the field for the San Francisco 49ers...
