The Biden administration is withholding a "secret agreement" with Iran from Congress as negotiations over a revamped nuclear deal continue in Vienna, according to two Republican lawmakers. Reports emerged late Friday that Russia proposed an interim nuclear deal to Iran with the knowledge of U.S. officials. The deal would reportedly lift some sanctions on Iran in exchange for a limited set of restrictions on the country’s nuclear program. Russia offered the deal to Iran on the sidelines of ongoing negotiations in Vienna, according to NBC News, which first reported on the document. Tehran is said to have rejected the interim...

WASHINGTON — The Supreme Court agreed Monday to hear a major challenge to race-based affirmative action in the nation’s college and universities, setting the stage for another long-sought win for conservatives. The justices voted to hear a pair of appeals contending that Harvard University, the nation’s oldest private university, and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, the oldest public university, are violating civil rights laws by giving preferences to some minority students seeking admission while discriminating against others, including Asian Americans. They ask the court to rule that universities, whether public or private, may “not use race as...

Palm Elementary School in Lorain, Ohio is under fire after both the principal and lunch aide allegedly forced a nine-year-old child to eat food from the garbage can in December. According to the lawsuit, the student was eating waffles and decided to throw them away because she didn't like them, WKWC reports. Monika Sommers-Fridenstine, the school's lunch aide at that time, pulled the waffles from the garbage can, wiped them off, and gave them back to the young student to eat. Debra Pustulka, the school's principal who was also in the room, told the student she had to finish the...

The marsupial, normally native to Australia, has been spotted in the region several times in recent monthsA rare white wallaby has been caught on camera in Warwickshire for a second time. The unusual sight was captured by refuse collectors on their rounds near Kenilworth earlier in the month. The spot where the marsupial was seen was close to the same site a farmer caught it on camera last year. Read more Warwickshire news stories here In October, Jack Smith saw the wallaby while he was planting barley in a field near the same Warwickshire town. There have also been reports...

We have reached a dangerous crossroads. Cold pizza has landed in New Jersey as a thing. Now before my time, there was some guy I read about in the history books named Barry Goldwater. Some didn’t know what to make of this politician because he was quite liberal on social issues like gays serving openly in the military, legalization of medicinal marijuana, abortion rights and environmental protection. On the other hand he reformed his Republican Party in a conservative way that set the path for the Reagan Revolution. I’m like that in a lot of ways. On money and spending...

He’s everywhere: in yards, on T-shirts, mugs, stickers and even tail lights. He’s big, hairy and sometimes frightening — and he may not even exist. Though elusive, he, she or it is Bigfoot — and has become somewhat of an unofficial symbol of the Hocking Hills. According to data from Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization (BFRO), there have been at least six recorded Bigfoot reports in Hocking County, the earliest dating back to 1979. There are three classes of Bigfoot reports, according to the BFRO: A, B and C. All six of Hocking County’s reports are Class A and B. Class...

She and her husband and restaurant co-founder Rocco Palese created a hearty “stuffed” pizza (not deep dish) that would become the core of Nancy’s Pizza restaurants.Nancy Palese and her husband, Rocco, helped develop the stuffed pizza that became the cheese-and-tomato-filled foundation of her namesake Nancy’s Pizza restaurants. The couple’s inspiration for their specialty, with a crust on the top and bottom, was scarciedda, a stuffed Italian Easter pie. Mrs. Palese, who had dementia, died Jan. 20 at a nursing home at 87, according to her daughter, Marisa Palese Besch. Up until 2019, Mrs. Palese would drop in and look over...

Taiwan intercepted dozens of military aircraft from communist China on Sunday as Democrat President Joe Biden’s administration is seemingly being tested simultaneously by authoritarian regimes around the world, who many experts say see weakness in Biden. “The latest Chinese mission included 34 fighters plus four electronic warfare aircraft and a single bomber,” Reuters reported. “Taiwan sent combat aircraft to warn away the Chinese aircraft, while missile systems were deployed to monitor them.” The news comes as war appears imminent in Eastern Europe with U.S. officials saying that Russia is likely to launch an invasion into Ukraine as soon as this...

Highlighting the increased tension between Russia and the West over a threatened Russian invasion of Ukraine, the Pentagon has announced 8,500 troops currently in the United States have been placed on heightened alert status, readied for potential European deployment should Russian President Vladimir Putin take military action against his neighbor. Additionally, the Department of Homeland Security has cautioned all potentially affected entities to be on guard against potential Russian cyberspace attacks in retaliation should the United States make moves to actively defend Ukraine against a Russian assault. If American troops are sent to Europe, they will not be immediately sent to...

Another tennis controversy emerges in Australia and this has nothing to do with the pandemic. It has been a common expression when watching the news out of Australia that the country has become a lost cause when it comes to personal freedoms. The government in panic mode, or eyeing an opportunity at more oppression, has put on a stunning display of oppression in the name of public safety. Videos of people being arrested over masks are just the start; there have been manhunts for vaccine scofflaws and internment camps set up for those denying the chance to get vaccinated. This extended to...

On Oct. 16, 1853, the Ottoman Empire declared war on the Russian Empire. France, the U.K., and Piedmont-Sardinia, the wealthiest polity on the Italian peninsula, quickly joined the Ottomans in their war against Russia. (This weekend’s “Top 10” is a global history of the Crimean War, so stay tuned!) The United States stayed neutral during the war, but it was hardly inactive. The press and the general public were particularly pro-Russian, though there were exceptions (to be discussed below). Washington sent food and material goods to Russia and helped the Imperial Navy by building its warships in New York’s massive...

We reported earlier on how President Biden attacked Fox News reporter Peter Doocy during a Monday event at the White House after Doocy asked him if he thought inflation “was a political liability.”Thinking his mic was turned off, Biden let his “angry man” side come out and proceeded to call Doocy a “stupid son-of-a-b*tch” as reporters were predictably being herded out of the room like cattle.
