Former Trump aide Sam Nunberg believes that President Joe Biden essentially gave Vladimir Putin the green light to invade Ukraine because the Ukrainian energy company Burisma stopped bribing him after the 2016 election of former President Donald Trump. Speaking with politics editor Matthew Boyle on Breitbart News Saturday, Nunberg expanded on a tweet he posted Friday suggesting that Biden abandoned Ukraine due to Hunter Biden’s corruption.

Jérôme Jean Louis Marie Lejeune (1926 – 1994)Bioethics is one of the few academic disciplines and professions that does not have a patron saint. We at The National Catholic Bioethics Center (NCBC) think this may change soon. Jérôme Lejeune, a French medical doctor and world class geneticist, was recently declared venerable — the first step on the road to canonization, by the Church. He led a remarkable life that began with scientific break-through discoveries and continued with decades of faithful work defending the right to life of human embryos and preborn children. It is remarkable to me that the Vatican declaration...

Beto O’Rourke, who has nothing better to do than run another pointless statewide campaign in Texas, doesn’t want any help from Joe Biden or any other Democrat in Washington. “I’m not interested in any national politician — anyone outside of Texas — coming into this state to help decide the outcome of this,” O’Rourke told reporters on Friday. “I think we all want to make sure that we’re working with, listening to and voting with one another here in Texas.” It’s cute the way Beto makes it out like he doesn’t want Texas outsiders to help his campaign instead of...

The State Department recommended Sunday that all U.S. citizens in Ukraine depart the country immediately, citing Russia's extraordinary military buildup on the border. "Our recommendation to U.S. citizens currently in Ukraine is that they should consider departing now using commercial or privately available transportation options," a senior State Department official said Sunday evening on a call with reporters. For months, the West has watched an extraordinary deployment of Russian forces and equipment to its border with Ukraine. The buildup has evoked Russia's 2014 annexation of Crimea, a peninsula on the Black Sea, which sparked an international uproar and triggered a...

A Pennsylvania school board member, ostensibly disgruntled because parents are showing up at board meetings to voice concerns about education issues, penned an op-ed Sunday in which he responded, “I don’t work for you.” Richard Robinson, a member of the York Suburban School Board, appears to long for the days when “nobody showed up” to school board meetings. The “public comments” period of these meetings, he noted at the York Dispatch, once gave residents “the chance to vent their spleens about exorbitant taxes or demand subjects be taught properly the way they were during the most frigid period of the...

After Joe Biden’s first year in office, NOT ONE participant in Face the Nation’s focus group believes America is in a better place. CBS host Margaret Brennan was stunned when the entire panel of six participants, including Biden voters, said America is on the wrong path. “During the course of the pandemic, “Face the Nation” has been listening to Americans, through Zoom, to get their thoughts on COVID, the economy and how the government is handling it all. On Friday, we checked back in with six of them,” host Margaret Brennan said. “Who feels like we are in a better...

The peaceful protest started around noon at the Washington Monument and headed first to the Lincoln Memorial, where it remained while a series of speakers took to the steps to share their experiences of the past year...

Kathy Hochul announced Sunday that her office’s newly formed task force targeting illegal guns will meet for the first time Wednesday — days after a rookie NYPD cop was killed and another officer critically wounded with a stolen firearm. “We have a moral obligation to do everything we can to fight the scourge of illegal guns on our streets,” Hochul said in a statement. “Too many lives have been lost because of illegal firearms that should never have been on our streets.”

Questions to pin your political candidate: What news or information sources are most important to you personally? What's your plan of action to stop all illegal crossings of our border, even if the feds refuse to do anything, and tell us that we, as Texans, can't do anything about it? What will you do when the federal judiciary/supreme court strikes down your plan? What will you do in your jurisdiction when airlines or buses, probably sent by the feds, filled with illegal aliens arrive in your jurisdiction? Around 2017, HB 948 was proposed in the Texas legislature to criminalize all...

Former Trump admin aide Alyssa Farah Griffin predicted on Sunday the GOP would use the ex-president to help win the midterms before dropping him for the 2024 presidential elections. Griffin, who served in various White House rolls including the director of strategic communications during former President Donald Trump's time in office, said she believes Republicans will keep him around for fundraising during the midterms. "Republicans are going to keep him around through 2022 because he will be helpful in winning back House seats, getting back the House majority," she said on CNN's State of the Union. "He is monster fundraiser....

“Jesus said to him, ‘Go, Satan! For it is written, “You shall worship the Lord your God, and serve Him only”’” (Matthew 4:10). The devil’s final proposal was so outlandish and beyond the boundaries of God’s will that Jesus dismissed him with the terse, firm command, “Go, Satan!” Satan can wield his present power only by God’s permission; therefore he had no choice but to leave Christ’s presence. This last interaction is a prime example of our Lord’s sovereign mastery over the enemy. If the Savior would not compromise on a mundane matter such as turning stones to bread, He...

Howard Stern used to be this hardcore, edgy guy. If you were looking for someone who bucked the system and went rogue, Howard was your guy. He was a fighter for free speech and was actually fired several times for standing up for the First Amendment. Howard was brave and courageous. But that man no longer exists. Howard Stern is now a big pharma/government stooge, who is so scared of his own shadow and filled with so much hate and bitterness, he can hardly see straight. Now, instead of fighting for the little guy, you can often find Howard lashing...

A couple of years ago, I located a video of Michael Harrington, one of the founders of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), speaking to a group probably sometime in the 1970s about how they knew they couldn't start a third party so they were going to embed themselves into one of the existing political parties. I cannot find this video any longer and would like it for reference purposes. If anyone out there in FR Land can help, I'd certainly appreciate it.

[Catholic Caucus] The Joy of the Traditional Roman Mass: They can't take that away from us. Last week at Mass we heard the gospel from St. John that recounts Jesus’ first miracle, the changing of water into wine. Today on the Third Sunday after the Epiphany we hear of two more miracles performed by our Lord: the healing of the lepers and the healing of the centurion’s servant. The gospels in the season of the Sundays after Epiphany concentrate on the miracles of Jesus as the answer to the seminal, the basic question asked and answered in the gospels:...

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) on Saturday searched the Illinois headquarters of a national COVID-19 testing company that is under federal and state investigation. "The FBI was conducting court-authorized law enforcement activity in Rolling Meadows yesterday," Siobhan Johnson, a spokesperson for the FBI's Chicago office, said to USA Today on Sunday. The test company, known as the Center for COVID Control, has received over $124 million from the federal government as reimbursement for COVID-19 testing. The company once operated over 300 locations in 26 states and gathered over 80,000 COVID-19 tests daily.
