In a vote Wednesday, New York's city council approved a ban on natural gas in newly constructed buildings, joining cities like San Jose and San Francisco that have made similar commitments to reduce emissions. Moving away from natural gas means that stoves and heat pumps will be powered by electricity instead, cutting down on carbon emissions. Nearly 40% of carbon emissions in the country — and more than half of New York City's emissions — come from buildings. The new ban, with 40 votes in the affirmative and seven votes against the measure, applies to buildings that are seven stories...

The Salvation Army went woke, and now, at least in certain parts of the country, it’s going broke. Naturally, no one dares to admit that the Salvation Army’s outrageous decision to ask its white donors to apologize for being racists might be the cause of its troubles. Instead, the Christian group’s problems are blamed on the pandemic—which makes no sense. As you’ll see below, some of the Salvation Army’s donation and volunteer problems are down compared to last year. Some of you might recall that there was not only a pandemic last year, but that last year there was no...

NFL testing data shared via the daily transaction log showed a single-day record 37 positive tests on Monday and the two-day total hit 75 on Tuesday. By comparison, the league said 110 positive tests were recorded from September 5 through November...

Hungary’s Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has accused Western European governments of having embarked on a grand exercise in “human experimentation” by “mixing huge masses of Muslims with indigenous Christians” in the hope that “something good would come of it”. In an interview with Hungary’s Kossuth Radio, a transcript of which has been seen by Breitbart London, Prime Minister Orbán was asked about a then-upcoming Constitutional Court ruling on “whether the EU rules on immigration take precedence over Hungarian law” — which may herald a legal clash with Brussels if the Hungarian jurists fail to affirm EU supremacy, similar to the...

Self-identified Christians make up 63% of U.S. population in 2021, down from 75% a decade agoThe secularizing shifts evident in American society so far in the 21st century show no signs of slowing. The latest Pew Research Center survey of the religious composition of the United States finds the religiously unaffiliated share of the public is 6 percentage points higher than it was five years ago and 10 points higher than a decade ago. Christians continue to make up a majority of the U.S. populace, but their share of the adult population is 12 points lower in 2021 than it...

ROME — A group of Catholic and Anglican theologians has publicly called on the Vatican to review and overturn a papal document from 1896 that declared Anglican ordinations “absolutely null and utterly void.” “Where we once walked apart, we now walk together in friendship and love,” wrote members of the Malines Conversations Group after tracing the history of ecumenical agreements between the Catholic Church and the Anglican Communion and, especially, reviewing examples of collaboration and gestures of recognition. The judgment made by Pope Leo XIII in his apostolic letter “Apostolicae Curae” in 1896 “does not accord with the reality into...

Health experts in Japan have witnessed skyrocketing rates of myocarditis and pericarditis in young men and teenagers. And they've seen the same nonstop heart issues with middle-aged and older individuals. All over America, and all over the world,...

“God highly exalted Him” (Philippians 2:9). Christ is the Sovereign of the universe and a faithful High Priest. Christ was exalted not only in His resurrection and ascension, but also in His coronation. Mark 16:19 says, “When the Lord Jesus had spoken to [the apostles], He was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God.” In Scripture the right hand is a symbol of power and authority. What is the extent of Christ’s authority? Ephesians 1:20-22 says, “[God] seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and...

class-action lawsuit was filed Dec. 13 by 88 teachers and school staff from across Illinois in opposition to Gov. J.B. Pritzker’s COVID-19 school mandates on vaccination, testing and masks. The governor signed an amendment to Illinois’ decades-old Health Care Right of Conscience Act Nov. 8 allowing employers to discipline employees for refusing to comply with COVID-19 rules. The amendment was intended to narrow the law and deny it as a legal argument to groups such as the 88 teachers, but the changes do not take effect until June 1, 2022. The bill and its various proposed amendments spurred opposition by...
