Why are so many jobs going unfilled? Where are all the workers? As my PJ Media colleague Chris Queen reported on Saturday, “there are 10 job openings for every seven people seeking work” in America. But whyM even with offers of higher pay and better benefits, aren’t more workers getting off the couch and getting to work? The answer may lie in a complicated mixture of COVID fear, apathy, and financial pragmatism.A new report by the Foundation for Government Accountability (FGA) found that even though the pandemic is waning in most states, most states’ pandemic welfare benefits are now so generous...

While former President Donald Trump has yet to formally announce a 2024 White House bid, he’s already stoking speculation about potential running mates — all of whom, he claims, are “begging” to be on the ticket, according to a new report. Politico, citing interviews with a dozen Trump advisers and associates, reported that the 45th president will largely choose his campaign sidekick based on two factors: unconditional loyalty, and support for Trump’s claim that the 2020 election was stolen by the Democrats. “They’ll have to denounce what happened in 2020,” former Trump campaign staffer Michael Caputo told the outlet. “If...

Hillary Clinton just won’t go away. Not only will she not go away, but she also seems to believe that we care what she thinks about the state of politics today. She began her conversation with the jewel in MSNBC’s crown by talking about the fact that America needs “boundaries” and “guardrails” these days. She and Maddow talked about Jan. 6 (of course), and Clinton blamed technology for the problems facing our society today — which really means people who don’t agree with her:But what we’ve seen sadly in the last several years is not new in our history because it...

Would anyone be interested in a meetup in Denver? I am interested in meeting like minded people in medical freedom. The net is getting tighter and tighter for us. I am thinking of this Sunday at 2 pm at Union Station. You don't have to introduce your real name or handle at all if you are not comfortable.

Joe Robinette Biden is now considered by many Americans to be one of the worst presidents in modern U.S. history. Biden is so toxic that voter's remorse now covers the land like a wet blanket of dense fog. We wake up every morning, drop down to our knees and pray for a miracle to wake us from this nightmare, to end our misery and to restore justice in our land. That's a fact Jack! Biden remains clueless that his horrible Executive Orders and absence of intelligent leadership are destroying not only our country but also his own legacy. Every morning...

If you have been following the US mainstream media, you would be forgiven for not knowing that the Jussie Smollett trial opened just yesterday. There has been scant coverage of the trial largely because the press had embarrassed themselves covering the story of the purported racist and homophobic attack on him in 2019. Since they aren’t too keen on learning lessons and certainly not eager to relive their humiliation, they just stay away from the story. The case merits a quick revision owing to the rapidly evolving or perhaps devolving news cycle. On January 29, 2019, African American actor Jussie...

Pope Francis invoked God in an effort to pressure Silicon Valley giants into censoring more content, including “hate speech” and “conspiracy theories.”Yes, really. The Pope made the remarks during a World Meeting of Popular Movements, a shadowy organization created to promote “social justice” and fight racism with the help of religious leaders.“In the name of God, I ask the technology giants to stop exploiting human weakness, people’s vulnerability, for the sake of profits without caring about the spread of hate speech, grooming, fake news, conspiracy theories, and political manipulation,” he stated.Pope Francis also invoked the term “post-truth,” which was invented by...

Officials in the Netherlands said Tuesday that the omicron variant of COVID-19 was present at least a week before 13 passengers on two flights arriving from South Africa were found to be carrying the variant. The omicron variant had been found "in two test samples" from November 19 and 23, the National Institute for Public Health (RIVM) said. What is known about omicron in the Netherlands? After health authorities in South Africa announced they had identified a new COVID-19 variant on November 26, officials began to shut down travel from southern Africa. Two KLM flights arrived from South Africa on...

KABUL, Afghanistan – Almost three months ago, a social media firestorm erupted after users circulated an image of around 130 dogs in cages amid the frenzied US evacuation from Hamid Karzai International Airport, or HKIA. Rumors spread that the US government was leaving behind working dogs. The Department of Defense quickly clarified that the canines did not belong to the American military but were privately owned by contractors and had been placed in the care of private nongovernmental organization Kabul Small Animal Rescue. Charlotte Maxwell-Jones founded Small Animal Rescue in 2018 and, months after the US’ last plane left, continues...

Leftists in San Francisco are in denial. The San Francisco Chronicle is constantly putting out reports selectively parsing data to present a picture claiming there's no big crime issue in San Francisco. At the same time, Soros-financed district attorney Chesa Boudin is telling the press 'not me' as the smash-and-grab lootings of retailers in the city continue with few consequences. “This is not a San Francisco specific problem. It doesn’t have anything to do with local policy,” Boudin told KPIX, as if the problem didn't have a San Francisco pioneering nexus or that all of the affected cities happen to have district...

Dr. Mehmet Oz is likely to enter the high-stakes race for Pennsylvania’s open US Senate seat next year, according to state GOP insiders. Oz — who would be vying to replace retiring Republican Sen. Pat Toomey if he decides to run — has already hired campaign aides and reached out to Pennsylvania GOP leaders, several sources familiar with the matter told the newspaper.

he media has responded to the recent spate of high profile football players suddenly collapsing with heart problems in the middle of games by concluding that it is just a “coincidence.”Yes, really.Over recent weeks and months, innumerable soccer stars, as well as other athletes, have mysteriously suffered the imminent onset of serious heart problems. This prompted German newspaper Berliner Zeitung to publish a report seeking to answer why an “unusually large number of professional and amateur soccer players have collapsed recently.”Last week, two more examples were added to the list when Sheffield United’s John Fleck collapsed and Sherrif Tiraspol winger Adama...

Oakland officials are eyeing an expansion to the city’s police force to confront the increase in violent crime, which has resulted in more than 115 homicides so far this year. Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf (D) said her office is drafting a proposal to put before the City Council that would increase the number of active police officers and require the city to maintain a larger police force, according to the San Francisco Chronicle. The mayor is also reportedly planning to propose that the budget cuts set to take effect next summer are reversed. The reductions would freeze 50 police department...

A Boise State professor’s comments calling independent women “medicated, meddlesome and quarrelsome” have spurred backlash in the Treasure Valley. Scott Yenor, a political science professor at Boise State University, made the comments on Oct. 31 during the National Conservatism Conference in Orlando, Florida. But the comments went viral when a Boise nurse posted a Nov. 25 video with excerpts of his speech on TikTok. “Our culture is steeped with feminism,” Yenor said during the conference. “It teaches young boys and girls that they are motivated by much the same things and want much the same things.”
