The tension between parents and American school-board members has worsened since we first reported that members of the boards were quitting en masse over “toxic” parents opposing masks, vaccine mandates and CRT. And according to the National School Boards Association, an organization that represents school board members, the risks of violence breaking out involving a parent and a school-board member have intensified to such a degree that the organization is asking the federal government to start providing security to board members and teachers to protect them from “terrorist” parents. Terrorists? The organization made its demands in a letter to President Biden,...

Explanation: Posing as a brilliant evening star, Venus lies near the western horizon in this southern hemisphere, early spring, night skyscape. To create the composite view exposures tracking the sky and fixed for the foreground were taken on September 25 from Cascavel in southern Brazil. In view after sunset, Venus appears immersed in a cone of zodiacal light, sunlight scattered from dust along the Solar System's ecliptic plane. In fact from either hemisphere of planet Earth, zodiacal light is most visible after sunset near a spring equinox, (or before sunrise near an autumn equinox) when its luminous arc lies at...

Memorial of the Holy Guardian Angels Matthew 18:1-5, 10 Friends, today we celebrate the feast of our guardian angels. Why does God send these spiritual messengers to help us? Well, Aquinas says that each of us, due to our fallen nature, has been assigned a heavenly guide. Is all of this just speculation and conjecture? One of my favorite stories about angels is this one: two relatively inexperienced pilots found themselves lost on a foggy day. Though they tried desperately to make contact with an airport, they were incapable of doing so. One of them then prayed for protection. In...

Data released yesterday shows wedding bells are growing ever-fainter in states across America. This decline in marriage can be seen in the data even before any potential impact of the coronavirus, which is expected to lower the numbers even further due to social distancing-related delays. According to the latest data from the National Center for Health Statistics, marriage rates hit an all-time low in 2018, the most recently recorded year. The national marriage rate fell from 6.9 to 6.5 marriages per 1,000 people from 2017 to 2018. The dip was the first noticeable change in a fairly-stable trend over the...

An officer saw the vehicle “doing donuts in a private parking lot” at about 10:30 p.m. local time, before the driver drove eastbound and, with the officer in pursuit, then “accelerated at a very high speed,” striking the victims before crashing in a ditch, Yasar Bashir, an assistant chief with Houston Police, said at a press briefing late Friday. The victims, whose names were not released, were pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver and his...

President Biden begged vaccine-reluctant Americans to roll up their sleeves for COVID shots Saturday as he marked what he called a “painful milestone”: the 700,000th death associated with the coronavirus pandemic. “We must not become numb to the sorrow,” Biden said in a statement issued by the White House. “We remember all those we have lost to this pandemic and we pray for their loved ones left behind who are missing a piece of their soul.” He asserted that “we have made extraordinary progress in our fight against COVID-19 over the last eight months because of the vaccines.” About 300,000...

After two days of Democratic infighting and drama, the fate of President Joe Biden's infrastructure agenda remained unclear after House Speaker Nancy Pelosi had to repeatedly put off a vote on a bipartisan infrastructure bill because progressive Democrats had vowed to vote against it -- unless there's a deal on a larger spending package. After voting to approve a 30-day extension of federal highway and transit funding, House members were told late Friday that they could return home for a two-week recess. But they were put on 72-hours' notice for the possibility of votes on various legislation, including infrastructure. Overnight,...

"China has been wantonly engaged in military aggression, damaging regional peace," Taiwan Premier Su Tseng-chang told reporters, according to the news organization. In a tweet on Friday, Taiwan Foreign Minister Joseph Wu wrote: "Oct. 1 wasn't a good day. The #PLAAF flew 38 warplanes into #Taiwan's ADIZ, making it the largest number...

A two-year-old American and 3-year-old American died in Afghanistan as a result of the Biden administration’s failed withdrawal from the country, Rep. Markwayne Mullin (R-OK), whose team is working firsthand on the ground to save stranded Americans, told Breitbart News Saturday. Mullin, who has traveled to Afghanistan and whose team is working firsthand operating what he likened to the underground railroad to get Americans and Legal Permanent Residents (LPRs), and allies out of the Taliban-run country, told Breitbart News Saturday that the Biden administration has failed to assist his team in getting people out of the country, which has resulted...

As the trial date looms, Duggar family followers will likely hear plenty more Josh Duggar news. More recently, a Reddit user posted court documents from his defense team. Duggar’s defense is in support of a motion to suppress evidence. And one of the documents explains what happened when the police attempted to download all of the files. According to the documents, the government used the program Torrential Downpour. The program identifies child sexual abuse content distributed through file-sharing networks. The document claims law enforcement spent “17 hours, attempting 169 times, to download only 13 of the 66 pieces that comprise...

Remember when John McCain was hailed by the Democrats for being a "maverick" because he often voted against his own party? Well, now that Joe Manchin (and Kyrsten Sinema) are opposing the $3.5 trillion Reconciliation Bill, the Democrats are most definitely NOT calling him a maverick. Instead they are calling him a lot of other unfriendly names as Manchin Derangement Syndrome goes red hot.

Extraordinary and obvious madness is flooding Western society. A society privileged to have reached a stable and apparently too comfortable state of being. This state of comfort and well being is a unique event in human social, economic and cultural history. It has also left our society vulnerable to abuse, corruption, regression and upheaval. In America this means erasing and rewriting history, and most critically, destroying the Constitution — the very same Constitution which created the world’s very first system of government for a Nation that was not an heirdom, kingdom, or dictatorship. The new talking points from so many...
