The well-known thirteenth-century Minorite church (Minoritenkirche) in the centre of Vienna is now in the possession of the Society of St Pius X (SSPX). The church was given to the Italians as a spiritual home for the Italian community by the Holy Roman Emperor Joseph II (1765-1790), and was owned by the “Italian Congregation of Our Lady of the Snows”, a private society, until June this year when it was given to the SSPX. According to the SSPX bulletin, the Italian owners made the surprising offer to the SSPX of the church as a gift in November 2020, an offer...

Over the summer, picked out an old sci-fi anthology I had on the shelf. The short story is reproduced at the link. A recommended read. My synopsis (no spoilers): In the future, a good citizen of the Empire takes up the cause against a weapons shop that appears in his quiet village.

Just imagine for a moment that you are the leader of a terror-nation like Iran or Communist China, what thoughts would be going through your head as you watch the incredible weakness and cowardice shown by the Joe Biden administration in places like Afghanistan? If you’re the leader of Communist China, you’re thinking now would be a great time to make a move. “And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.” Revelation 16:12 (KJB) We showed...

[H/T Jane Long]Yesterday I saw two things occur that point out, in stark relief, why Biden and his pals are doomed with their jab mandate. The first was at the local Lowes. It was mid-afternoon and I was in there to get a half-dozen small items I need to help Sarah get her van together enough for a weekend excursion she has planned. One checkout was open, the one with one checker and six automated "do it yourself" kiosks beyond it (the employee, presumably, was there to deter attempted walk-out thefts.) The few other staffers in the place were making quite...

Pope Francis warned representatives of Catholic movements Thursday that the desire for power and recognition are temptations that hinder their call to serve the Church. In a meeting with the moderators of lay Catholic associations, movements, and new communities in the Vatican’s Synod Hall, the pope said that it is “treachery” when a leader “wants to serve the Lord, but also serves other things that are not the Lord.” “In words, we say we want to serve God and others, but in fact we serve our ego, and we bow to our desire to appear, to obtain recognition, appreciation ......

There’s a fact that is conspicuously not discussed very much, even in alternative media by journalists and commentators who oppose vaccines or their mandates. Most have taken at face value that the so-called “vaccines” have saved lives. But that has not been backed up by data. Only “scientists” like Anthony Fauci have said it definitively and the statistics they offer as proof do not clearly indicate, well, anything. It’s impossible to prove that a vaccinated person who survived Covid-19 would have died without the vaccine just as it’s impossible to prove that an unvaccinated person would have had an easier...

As the world wrestles with the COVID pandemic, just about the last thing that we need is for an even deadlier pandemic to suddenly break out. So the fact that a confirmed case of the Nipah virus has just prompted authorities in India to completely lock down a two mile area is causing a lot of panic right now. The Nipah virus has a mortality rate that is similar to Ebola, but it is a respiratory virus that can spread fairly easily through human contact. The good news is that past outbreaks have always been contained, and so we have...

Israeli researchers have only been able to demonstrate that the COVID-19 booster shot provides a proven 12 days of protection from the virus after being administered to people aged 60 or above. However, the vaxx pushers and their captive propagandists in the media are spinning these findings as proof of vaccine efficacy. The Jerusalem Post is reporting that the third Pfizer vaccine provides a ten-times boost of the immunity within individuals against individuals who have received only two vaccine shots. These findings, of course, presume that there was any real immunity boost given from the vaccines to begin with. Thus...

George W. Bush reaffirmed his status as garbage last week, for those few cons still in doubt. Bush got up on the 9/11 anniversary and proceeded to demonstrate, again, the essentiality of class in American society. Not “class” in the sense that he is classy; Bush, though it was very important to him to front that he has such class, in fact, has none. No, the “class” that is important to W is social class. He once again chose his country club pals over you and compounded it by issuing a disgusting blood libel against you. That’s his “thank you”...

Mexico City’s water is quite literally disappearing. I have no doubt that in 2022 there will be a crisis, the reservoirs are completely depleted. What is happening in Mexico City? The ancient Aztecs originally engineered the origins of Mexico City on top of Lake Texcoco and left the surrounding natural freshwater lakes intact for use. However, as the city grew the lakes were drained to make way for infrastructure, homes, and a growing population. With expansion came an increasingly dire water security dilemma. Much of the city’s water supply comes from an underground aquifer that is being drained at an...

Public approval of U.S. President Joe Biden has dropped to the lowest level of his presidency, with Americans appearing to be increasingly critical of his response to the coronavirus pandemic, according to the latest Reuters/Ipsos opinion poll. The national poll, conducted Sept. 15-16, found that 44% of U.S. adults approved of Biden’s performance in office, while 50% disapproved and the rest were not sure. Biden’s popularity has been declining since mid-August as the U.S.-backed Afghan government collapsed and as COVID-19-related deaths surged across the country. While most Americans support the kind of vaccine and mask requirements that Biden has ordered...

A loud explosion-like sound was heard across many neighbourhoods of Helsinki late on Saturday night, but the source of the bang remained a mystery on Monday. The boom prompted discussion on social media, from people in the neighbourhoods of Oulunkylä, Kumpula, Käpylä, Arabia, Kulosaari, Metsälä, Meilahti and Kulosaari claiming to have heard the noise at around 11:45pm on Saturday. Speculation as to the source of the sound has also been broad. Some have suggested that it could have been a meteor crashing into the atmosphere, an earthquake or even a supersonic bang caused by an Air Force fighter jet. However,...

EAGLE PASS, Texas (WOAI) — U.S. Border Patrol agents rescued two small children abandoned on Tuesday near the Rio Grande River. Border Patrol agents were doing patrols along the river around noon when they noticed an unusual color along the river bank. When they got closer, they found two small children sitting in the brush, one was even in what appeared to be an infant carrier. The agents safely rescued the children, one being a 2-year-old girl and the other a 3-month-old boy. Both are siblings and Honduran nationals, according to border patrol. Nobody else was found in the area.

Cattle for milk and meat production are responsible for about 9% of global greenhouse gas emissions. Methane — a gas about 25 times more climate-damaging than CO2 but which breaks down after just a decade — is spewed into the atmosphere in large quantities each time the 1 billion cows on the planet burp and fart. And while scientists have shown that eating less meat is a necessary step to greening the farming sector — particularly in industrialized countries, where the average person eats three times as much as in poorer ones — world leaders have mostly avoided policies to...

The Joe Biden regime continues to threaten the health, livelihood and freedom of Americans. Biden’s seditious vaccine mandates could collapse the trucking industry and threaten supply lines across the Nation. Approximately 3.5 million truckers have been traveling the nation since the beginning of the covid-19 scandal, shipping valuable food, construction, agricultural and medical supplies. Just a year ago, these men and women were lauded as “essential workers” and praised for all that they do. Today, the Biden regime is threatening to put hundreds of thousands of truckers out of work, as the federal government prepares a coercive vaccine mandate on...

“ A Note to Sane People “ “ Critical things to think about in 2021. “ “ I never dreamed that I would have to face the prospect of not living in the United States of America, at least not the one I have known all my life. I have never wished to live anywhere else. This is my home and I was privileged to be born here. But today I woke up and as I had my morning coffee, I realized that everything is changing for the worse. No matter how I vote, no matter what I say, no...

Republican Sen. John Thune (SD) may retire and not run in the 2022 midterms. “Obviously, the opportunities in leadership is a consideration — for sure, it’s a consideration,” Thune said. “But there are lots of other (factors) too… I’ve been doing it for 25 years. I think you gotta get into family considerations, personal considerations. And obviously it’s a place where we can make a difference, and that’s why you do it.” When asked “what he’s struggling with,” Thune explained a Senate term is six years. “It’s a six-year commitment,” he said, reportedly noting “he and his wife are having...

Recently released drone footage is revealing the “out of control” situation taking place at the US-Mexico border in Del Rio, Texas; showing thousands of Central American migrants waiting to be processed by Federal Agents before entering the United States. “Another stunning image from our @FoxNews drone team showing the situation at the international bridge in Del Rio, TX, where a law enforcement source tells me there are more than 8,000 migrants waiting to be processed by Border Patrol after crossing illegally into the U.S,” posted Fox News Bill Melugin on Twitter.

The hole in the ozone layer is larger than it usually is at this time of the year, according to a team of EU scientists. The European Union’s Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service said Thursday the ozone hole is larger than the size of Antarctica. “Forecasts show that this year’s hole has evolved into a rather larger than usual one,” said the head of the EU satellite monitoring service, Vincent-Henri Peuch. The hole makes an appearance each spring season in the Southern Hemisphere. […] Experts believe the world will only be free of harmful ozone-depleting substances in 2060, when it’s hoped...
