ATLANTA (AP) — Herschel Walker on Tuesday filed paperwork to enter the U.S. Senate race in Georgia after months of speculation, joining other Republicans seeking to unseat Democratic Sen. Raphael Warnock in 2022. The 59-year-old Walker joins the race with high name recognition, known for winning a Heisman Trophy in 1982 as a University of Georgia running back. Perhaps more importantly in today’s Republican Party, he carries the backing of former President Donald Trump. Walker has never run for office and will likely face scrutiny over his turbulent personal history as well as policy stances. But if he emerges from...

First, this public service announcement: There is no voter fraud in U.S. elections. Thank you for your attention. A California man was discovered asleep in his car in the parking lot of a 7-Eleven store in Torrance with drugs, cash, and several drivers’ licenses, according to ABC7 Oh… I nearly forgot. There were about 300 unopened recall election ballots in the car.Taken together, it’s an interesting picture, don’t you think?Having 300 ballots in your possession is suspicious. Having the ballots AND several drivers’ licenses clearly establishes intent to commit voter fraud.“Last night, officers responded to a male subject passed out...

Kathy Boudin was paroled after serving 22 years. The SFPOA, which has been a constant critic of the District Attorney, said it was “a sad day for justice.”“Andrew Cuomo’s last despicable act set in motion the potential release of a murdering domestic terrorist who participated in the killing of three innocent people, two police officers and a security guard, for money. It is repugnant and an affront to civilized society,” said Tony Montoya, the SFPOA president. “As Chesa Boudin continues to use his influence to lobby for his biological...

Looking to blunt bipartisan criticism of President Biden’s handling of the evacuation from Afghanistan and soothe public worries, his administration has started sharing numbers from what he has called “an incredible operation.”They’ve given the number of military flights and types of aircraft, number of flights by American allies and partners, and the total number of people evacuated since the U.S. military started operating out of the airport in Kabul Aug. 14.-snip-The prospect, however remote, that Americans might be left behind in a country run by the Taliban and where al-Qaeda and ISIS operate is a national security and political nightmare.-snip-On...

President Biden Defies Expectations (Again), Delivers Results in Afghanistan President Biden has defied expectations and exceeded even his own administration’s goal in successfully ramping up evacuations from Afghanistan. Not only has President Biden evacuated nearly 60,000 people from Kabul with no American casualties, but he has taken the steps necessary to finally end a 20-year long war, bring Americans home, and keep our promise to our Afghan partners. Despite initial doubts on President Biden’s leadership and ability to evacuate 50,000 people from Afghanistan in two weeks… CNN’s Kate Sullivan: “CNN’s @clarissaward in Kabul: ‘I’m sitting here for 12 hours in...

The prices of a lot of things are up these days, which fits the common definition of “inflation.” Meanwhile, an increasing number of products are appearing at the same price but in smaller packages. This is inflation’s slippery first cousin “shrinkflation.” Here’s a sampling from a recent study:• Bounty paper towels: The triple back has shrunk from 165 sheets to just 147. • Costco’s toilet paper: A large pack was 425 sheets last year, but now is just 380. • Dial Body Wash: Reduced from 21 ounces to 16 ounces, a 25 percent reduction. • Ziploc freezer bags: 54 bags last...

Herschel Walker, a college football legend in the state of Georgia, has filed paperwork to run for the U.S. Senate seat currently held by Rev. Raphael Warnock (D) in the 2022 midterm elections. When he arrives, Walker will instantly become the most recognizable Republican seeking Warnock's seat. Walker led Georgia to its most recent national championship, in...

Caroline Chen of ProPublica has written a provocative article challenging the objectivity of the FDA in its approval of new drugs. Entitled: “FDA Repays Industry by Rushing Risky Drugs to Market”, Chen contends that the agency is beholden to the biopharmaceutical industry which pays three quarters of the FDA’s budget used for the drug review process. This is an astounding number. Is any other federal agency supported to this extent by the industry it regulates? Given this level of support, one might assume that the FDA would bend over backwards to meet the needs of its financial backers. "...this all...

President Biden’s “surrender to the Taliban is now complete,” former House Speaker Newt Gingrich (R) declared Tuesday after the president agreed to stick to what many say is an unrealistic August 31 deadline to evacuate Americans from Afghanistan after the jihadist organization said there will be “no extensions.” “Biden’s surrender to the Taliban is now complete. He will leave Afghanistan on the Taliban time table even if it leaves Americans and allies stranded in the country,” Gingrich said. “His humiliation and failure is now complete,” he continued, describing the situation as the “worst moral collapse by an American President in...

LOS ANGELES - A Los Angeles city fire captain is under investigation after a video posted on social media showed him calling the city's vaccine mandate a "tyranny." "I am so hopping mad right now, you have no idea my head could pop," Los Angeles Fire Department captain Christian Granucci said in the video. Granucci's comments on the social media app Telegram come days after Los Angeles City Council voted in favor of requiring COVID-19 vaccinations for all city employees, which includes LAFD staff, except for those who have medical or religious exemptions. Prior to the passage of the ordinance,...

The suffering persisted for more than two years. Initially, there were four known victims. Then 21. Then 33. Finally, 63 confirmed fatalities. All the while, federal authorities watched, waited and hoped the deaths would stop. It was not until a disparate collection of physicians inside the U.S. Food and Drug Administration waged a remarkable revolt that the agency was forced to reverse course. These specialists--dubbed the “Termites” by one medical officer--combined meticulous research and bluntly worded e-mail messages to upbraid their government superiors for contributing to the needless deaths of patients. How the Termites prevailed in toppling Rezulin, a blockbuster...

A Chicago cop who was patrolling solo took a two-time felon into custody after seeing him firing a gun in a Wicker Park intersection Saturday night, according to prosecutors and a source. Later, the two-time felon allegedly whined that the arresting officer got his “good gun.” Serrano later admitted to having the gun and told investigators he was sad because “this is my good gun,” prosecutors said. Judge Mary Marubio set bail for Serrano at $150,000, meaning he will need to post a $15,000 deposit to get out of jail. He will be placed on electronic monitoring if he posts...

FDA Commissioner Janet Woodchuck announced today the sale of water color stick figure art by her and her drug approval staff. HSBC was selected to broker the art sale to ensure that the buyers remained anonymous, funds would be laundered appropriately and that there would be a faux sense of propriety about the transactions. Initial estimates are that almost 1 billion dollars, less the cut for the Big Guy, would be realized by the director and drug approval staff. In unrelated news, Pfizer announced a 1 billion dollar purchase of art for their "Art in Unusual Places" program. The newly...

The commonly worn cloth and surgical masks are roughly 10 percent efficient at blocking exhaled aerosols, a University of Waterloo study found. The study, examining the effects of masks and ventilation, ultimately found that commonly used cloth and surgical masks do little to filter exhaled aerosols. “The results show that a standard surgical and three-ply cloth masks, which see current widespread use, filter at apparent efficiencies of only 12.4% and 9.8%, respectively,” the study concluded, noting that KN95 and N95 masks were far more effective at filtering out aerosols.

Afghanistan is landlocked. The Kabul airport is surrounded by Taliban and other enemy fighters, and by a mob of thousands who won't be restrained as the U.S. checkpoints collapse back into the airport. How can that airport be secured while the last of our troops are loaded into airplanes or helicopters? And our helicopters only have a couple of hundred miles of range. It seems to me like you would need, out of the two brigades that are holding the airport right now, one to keep the mobs and the Taliban at bay, and the runway open. Then HOW would...

Mask mandates in America didn’t start with the coronavirus pandemic. During the Spanish flu of 1918, government officials ordered similar edicts, their media and nonprofit lackeys shamed the resistant, and health agents in some cases went to fatal extremes to punish the noncompliant, Fox News’s Tucker Carlson reported Monday during his monologue. At the height of the worst pandemic in American history – the Spanish flu of 1918 – cities across the country did something, modern America would find familiar. They issued mandatory mask mandates and punished anyone who didn't comply. "The man or woman or child who will not...
