In November 2009, the late Charles Krauthammer gave a seminal speech, titled "Decline Is a Choice." In it, Krauthammer stated, "The question of whether America is in decline cannot be answered yes or no. There is no yes or no ... Nothing is inevitable. Nothing is written. For America today, decline is not a condition. Decline is a choice." This week, President Joe Biden chose decline. That choice was not inevitable. It was foolhardy in the extreme, a symptom of Biden's commitment to his own idiotic ideology — an ideology that crashed headlong into the steel wall of reality in...

Justin Trudeau, through some very typical act of stupidity, revealed that he was in contact with Hillary Clinton on Afghanistan, not Joe Biden. Harris ran to Vietnam (interesting choice of quasi-vacation destinations). Biden figuratively soiled the sheets with Stephanopolis, no matter what the little man tried to do for him. Is Hillary Clinton the functional POTUS? She's been literally missing in social media. Obama's partying like the world is going to end. Is she POTUS? Trudeau provides a clue? Just wondering.

Texas is facing a tipping point in the state’s battle with COVID-19. Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R), who is fully vaccinated, tested positive for COVID-19 this week as deaths in his state from the coronavirus have more than doubled in the last two weeks and hospitals have reached capacity. While Abbott suffered a relatively rare breakthrough infection, less than half the state’s total population is fully vaccinated against the virus, putting them at heavy risk of getting COVID-19.

A UN document says the Taliban is intensifying its hunt for all people who worked and collaborated with Nato and US forces. The confidential paper was produced by the Norwegian Centre for Global Analyses, which provides the UN with intelligence information. “The Taliban are arresting and/or threatening to kill or arrest family members of target individuals unless they surrender themselves to the Taliban,” the document, seen by the BBC said. It said that those at particular risk were people with positions in the military, police and investigative units. “The Taliban have been conducting advance mapping of individuals prior to take...

Connecticut’s Quinnipiac University announced that it will impose fines and WiFi restrictions on students who cannot, or will not, provide proof of a COVID-19 vaccination by the beginning of the fall semester. The university imposed mandatory vaccination for students and staff returning to on-campus learning. In an email sent to students, school leadership stated that approximately 600 students have yet to fulfill the vaccination mandates, or at least they have yet to upload a copy of their COVID-19 vaccination record. “Our goal is to protect the health of our entire community,” the email obtained by a local news outlet reads....

President Biden said in an interview broadcast early Thursday that he and first lady Jill Biden will receive COVID-19 booster shots. “We’re gonna get the booster shots,” Biden told ABC’s George Stephanopoulos when asked if he and Biden had already received a third dose. “It’s something that I think, you know, because we got our shots all the way back in I think December, so it’s past time,” Biden added. "Yes, we will get the booster shots."

Whitmer, state's chief medical official at odds over school mask mandate. Our state’s “medical officer” recommended a statewide mask mandate for schools; Whitmer declined. Whitmer has declared that she plans to leave school mask guidelines up to individual county health departments and local school districts, despite recommendations from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to implement universal mask mandates throughout the nation’s schools. Khaldun indicated that she would have preferred to accept the CDC recommendation. Normally Whitmer loves mandates so why not impose another mandate now? Simple answer: (insert shocked face) politics! More specifically, polling data. First of...

Harrowing footage has emerged of Afghan mothers throwing their babies over barbed wire at Kabul Airport as they begged British troops to save them from the Taliban. “The mothers were desperate, they were getting beaten by the Taliban. They shouted, ‘Save my baby!’ and threw the babies at us. Some of the babies fell on the barbed wire,” a Parachute Regiment officer told the UK’s Independent.

I’ve Worked with Refugees for Decades. Europe’s Afghan Crime Wave Is Mind-Boggling. Afghans stand out among the refugees committing crimes in Austria and elsewhere. Why? "But there was one development that had not been expected, and was not tolerable: the large and growing incidence of sexual assaults committed by refugees against local women. These were not of the cultural-misunderstanding-date-rape sort, but were vicious, no-preamble attacks on random girls and women, often committed by gangs or packs of young men."

President Joe Biden continued to struggle with his response to the crisis in Afghanistan after days of hunkering down and seemingly waiting for the storm to blow over. Faced with an outcry from the press over the president’s unwillingness to answer questions about the chaotic conclusion of the 20-year war in Afghanistan, Biden did an interview with ABC News host George Stephanopoulos at the White House to defend his actions.

The Hollywood actor lost his natural voice after a surgery for throat cancer in 2015, shattering his career and permanently altering the way he communicates. That is, until late last year when Sonantic, a UK-based software firm that clones voices for actors and studios, helped Kilmer to speak again.

A Tampa-area school district, the eighth largest in the U.S., voted on Wednesday to issue a mask mandate after more than 10,000 students and staff members were forced into quarantine or isolation at the start of the school year. The decision by the Hillsborough County School District conflicts with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis's order that parents be given an option to opt their kids out of wearing masks at schools. The decision by the school board requires a doctor's note to prove a child cannot wear a mask, according to local Fox affiliate WTVT. "There is an immediate danger to...

Concerned Jamaicans protested and demanded that the US Embassyin Kingston Jamaica, remove the LGBTQ Pride flag hoisted on its grounds. The group says it is not only goes against articles in the Vienna Convention on diplomatic relations, but is a form of cultural imperialism. “Cultural Imperialism,” was the phrase on most of the placards broadly refers to the exercise of domination in cultural relationships. In such cases, the values, practices; and meaning of a powerful foreign culture are imposed upon one or more native cultures. Phillipa Davies, Advocacy Officer at the Jamaica Coalition for a Healthy Society says the Pride...

Joe Biden is going to do to nursing homes what he did to Afghanistan. His decree that all nursing home employees must be vaccinated, or their employers would lose their Medicare and Medicaid funding, is going to set off a staffing crisis that may force some facilities to close. At best, it will create stresses and resentments in the American nursing home industry that will hurt residents and communities. He announced it yesterday. While the rest of the world was horrified by what is likely the most damaging international development of the generation, Joe Biden prattled on about Republican governors and booster...

A daredevil UK student has come under fire for traveling to Afghanistan last week looking for “risk” — forcing the British Army to evacuate him in the midst of the country’s deadly chaos. Miles Routledge, 21, told the Spectator that he picked the troubled nation to travel to after doing a Google search for “most dangerous countries to visit” — arriving Friday even though he was aware of the Taliban’s insurgency. “I like risk,” the student from Birmingham told the Times of London, saying he had previously been to the site of the 1986 Russian nuclear disaster in Chernobyl and...
