Democrats are defending Joe Biden’s actions that led to the debacle in Afghanistan by pretending the debate is about whether he was right or wrong in ending “The Forever War.” That’s a strawman argument. Very few people are arguing we shouldn’t have left Afghanistan. Most are arguing we should have left long ago. The real debate about the tragedy in Afghanistan is whether competent leadership could have avoided it. Biden defended his administration by pointing the finger at everyone else. It’s Trump’s fault because he “left a bare cupboard” in Afghanistan. Apparently, there was no plan by the Trump administration...

What many scientists feared at the beginning of the Covid-19 "stay-at-home" orders proved true. And President Trump proved correct on this point-- though few appeared to wish to credit him. "Early look at data from 100 New York hospitals shows that 66% of new admissions related to the virus are people who were at home, Cuomo said... 66% of new admissions were from people who had largely been sheltering at home. The next highest source of admissions was from nursing homes, 18%. If you notice, 18% of the people came from nursing homes, less than 1% came from jail or...

Following Biden's disastrous pullout, it's clear that many Afghan citizens will come to America. Even if the administration doesn't ship them in, they'll head for our southern border, just as every other third-world immigrant is doing. And here's where the problems arise: recently arriving Afghan immigrant men (unlike the ones who came to the West decades ago) have an appalling record of sexual assault against women and children once they're in the West.Remember in 2014 and 2015, when Angela Merkel opened Europe's gates to the people fleeing the Syrian Civil War and the other fallout from Obama's "Arab Spring"? Western...

The World Health Organization (WHO) warned on Tuesday that the collapse of Afghanistan’s government could worsen the COVID-19 crisis as people are displaced amid the Taliban’s takeover. The chaos in Afghanistan following the U.S. withdrawal of troops has sparked fear among diplomats and citizens seeking to flee the country, making coronavirus precautions difficult to maintain, WHO spokesperson Tarik Jasarevic said during a United Nations briefing. “Obviously, when we have situations with people on the move, these individual and collective measures are difficult to put in place and thus increases the risk of COVID-19 but other infectious diseases as well,” Jasarevic...

A prototype military transport aircraft made by Russia’s Ilyushin has crashed during a test flight, killing three people who were on board. A video of the incident shows the plane’s right engine flaming out before the aircraft tilts to the side and crashes near the Kubinka airfield outside Moscow. The new light military transport plane, Il-112V, crashed in a forested area as it was coming in for a landing at the Kubinka airfield about 45 kilometers west of Moscow, spokespeople of the corporation told the Tass news agency. According to Russian news agency TASS, among those onboard was the Hero...

It is the job of our good friends at the US Food and Drug Administration to give the OK — or not — on what we put into our bodies. Unfortunately, their decision-making process has proven to be not as much of an exact science it should be. In fact, the FDA has made some pretty huge blunders that have ended in irreparable damage and even death. Here are just a few disastrous FDA mistakes that unleashed harmful drugs into the market. Quaaludes were a sedative and hypnotic used as a sleeping aid between 1962 and 1985. They were, in...

It was one of the worst trades in history, even worse than Nolan Ryan for Jim Fregosi or Kobe Bryant for Vlade Divac: Back in 2014, Barack Obama traded five Taliban commanders for one American who, we were led to believe, had been captured by the Taliban. Obama did all he could to make the swap seem noble: He said at the time that the recovery of Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl was “a reminder of America’s unwavering commitment to leave no man or woman in uniform behind on the battlefield,” and the five Taliban jihadis were sent to Qatar, where they...

A five-month run of record-setting home prices has come to an end, according to new data, potentially signalling that the home-buying surge that accompanied the Covid-19 pandemic in the US may be tapering off. Real estate brokerage firm Redfin released a new report based on aggregated market data from multiple-listing services showing that the median home-sale price did not rise to another record high as it had in each month since March. Instead, prices were stable in the more than 400 US metropolitan areas covered by the data, dipping 0.2 per cent from the four-week period up to 25 July.

A baseless quote has been widely attributed to a Nobel Prize winner to claim people will die from antibody-dependent enhancement after receiving a COVID-19 jab. There is no evidence to back up this claim, nor was Reuters able to find any instance where the laureate made this comment. The claim, made in a post that has been screenshot and shared on social media platforms, says French virologist Luc Montagnier “has confirmed that there is no chance of survival for people who have received any form of the vaccine”. (here , here and here). It then quotes him as saying: “’There is no...

‘A Pitiful, Helpless Giant’ The more serious and recurrent the failures and humiliations of the Biden Administration, the more China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea will push and provoke America and its allies.President Richard Nixon warned what America would become should it fail to have the determination and courage of a great world power. Speaking on April 30, 1970, he said: “If when the chips are down, the world’s most powerful nation, the United States of America, acts like a pitiful, helpless giant, the forces of totalitarianism and anarchy will threaten free nations and free institutions throughout the world.” He...

The Jaguars released Tim Tebow on Tuesday as they trimmed their roster. It puts a quick end to the failed experiment where Tebow was trying to convert from a quarterback to tight end under Urban Meyer, who also coached him at the University of Florida. “Thankful for the highs and even the lows, the opportunities, and the setbacks,” Tebow wrote on Twitter. “I’ve never wanted to make decisions out of fear of failure and I’m grateful for the chance to have pursued a dream. “Thank you to the Jaguars organization and everyone who has supported me in this journey"

Chinese fighter jets, anti-submarine aircraft and combat ships conducted assault drills near Taiwan on Tuesday with the People’s Liberation Army saying the exercise was necessary to safeguard China’s sovereignty. China has stepped up military exercises around self-ruled Taiwan, which it considers its own territory. Recent U.S.-Taiwan provocations severely violated Chinese sovereignty, Eastern Theater Command spokesman Shi Yi said in a statement. The assault drills were held near Taiwan’s southwestern and southeastern waters. Taiwan’s defense ministry said in a statement it had fully grasped and assessed the situation in the sea and air and was prepared to respond in each respect....

Dr. Charles Hoffe discusses the D Dimer test and Vaccine patients But here’s where the problem comes. In a virus, in a Coronavirus, that spike protein becomes part of the viral capsule. In other words, the cell wall around the virus, called the viral capsule. But it’s not in the virus. It’s in your cells. So it therefore becomes part of the cell wall of your vascular endothelium. Which means that these cells that line your blood vessels, which are supposed to be smooth so that blood flows smoothly, now have these little spikey bits sticking out. So it is...

My father gave me Werner Keller’s The Bible as History when I was a kid. I’ve been a sucker for Biblical histories since then. Keller’s been superseded, both by the deconstructionists who claim the Bible isn’t true and by modern archeology, which has added to and reinterpreted many archeological findings since Keller’s time. And last week, in Jerusalem, an archeologist discovered an earring that helps confirms one of the most pivotal stories in the Bible: The destruction of Solomon’s Temple and the Babylonian captivity. The Bible describes how the Kingdom of Judah, under Jehoiakim, refused to pay tribute to King Nebuchadnezzar...

Tuesday on FNC’s “Fox & Friends,” House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) slammed President Joe Biden for his “lack of leadership” in his handling of withdrawing troops from Afghanistan. McCarthy argued the Taliban’s takeover of the capital of Afghanistan, Kabul, “would have never happened under President Trump.” He added Biden’s withdrawal “causes problems for decades.

A recent study published by King’s College in London, which operates the ZOE COVID Study app to monitor COVID infection and vaccination rates, found that, as of July 15 there was an average of 15,537 new daily symptomatic cases of COVID-19 among partly or fully vaccinated people in the UK — an increase of 40% from the previous week’s total of 11,084 new cases. The Zoe COVID Study, led by epidemiologist Tim Spector, M.D., of Kings College in London, estimated that there were 17,581 new daily symptomatic cases of COVID-19 in unvaccinated people, or 22% less than the previous week’s total...

Swiss researchers said Monday they had calculated the mathematical constant pi to a new world-record level of exactitude, hitting 62.8 trillion figures using a supercomputer. "The calculation took 108 days and nine hours" using a supercomputer, the Graubuenden University of Applied Sciences said in a statement. Its efforts were "almost twice as fast as the record Google set using its cloud in 2019, and 3.5 times as fast as the previous world record in 2020", according to the university's Center for Data Analytics, Visualization and Simulation. Researchers are waiting for the Guinness Book of Records to certify their feat, until...

In March, the U.S. Space Force's 18th Space Control Squadron (18SPCS) reported the breakup of Yunhai 1-02, a Chinese military satellite that launched in September 2019. It was unclear at the time whether the spacecraft had suffered some sort of failure — an explosion in its propulsion system, perhaps — or if it had collided with something in orbit. On Saturday (Aug. 14), McDowell spotted an update in the Space-Track.org catalog, which the 18SPCS makes available to registered users. The update included "a note for object 48078, 1996-051Q: 'Collided with satellite.' This is a new kind of comment entry —...

… The collapse in Afghanistan that has flowed from current President Joe Biden’s decision to proceed with a complete US troop withdrawal is more than likely to be seen as his own Bay of Pigs moment. But it may be something worse, akin to the Suez crisis of 1956, which not only humiliated the British government of Sir Anthony Eden, but marked the end of the United Kingdom as a global power. When historians look back at the shambolic US exit from Afghanistan, it may increasingly appear a critical marker of America’s decline in the world, far eclipsing the flight...
