One year ago, many reeled at the heartbreaking news of Dr. Mike Adams’ sudden passing. Some knew him as a caring professor. Others, including a law school student, enjoyed his pun-filled wit, featured at Townhall. Later, that student had the privilege of witnessing Dr. Adams’ free speech battle firsthand, representing him for 14 years. Last year, many penned tributes to Dr. Adams (though too many of those tributes seemed to focus more on their authors). But a recent federal court ruling may prove to be the most poignant tribute of all. When he joined the UNC-Wilmington faculty as a liberal...

Republican Rep. Jim Jordan of Ohio suggested Wednesday that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi had been responsible for the security presence at the US Capitol on January 6, after Pelosi rejected his appointment to serve on the select committee investigating the insurrection. "Why wasn't there a proper security presence at the Capitol that day," Jordan asked at a news conference after House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy pulled all five members he had tapped for the committee in response to Pelosi rejecting two of them. The Ohio Republican added, "Only one person can answer that question. Only one. The Speaker of the...

Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) said Wednesday she agrees with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) decision to block Reps. Jim Banks (R-IN) and Jim Jordan’s (R-OH) placement to the January 6 “Crucifix Committee.” “I agree with the speaker’s decision,” Cheney told a group of reporters. “I am absolutely confident that we will have a nonpartisan investigation.” “I think that any person who would be third in line to the presidency must demonstrate a commitment to the constitution and a commitment to the rule of law and minority leader has not done that,” she continued. Pelosi’s Wednesday press release said, “With respect...

By Chao Deng Updated July 22, 2021 7:49 am ET PRINT TEXT TAIPEI—China rejects the World Health Organization’s proposal for a second phase of investigation into Covid-19’s origins, including a potential laboratory leak, and has put forward its own proposal to seek evidence in other countries, a top Chinese official said. WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus presented member states last week with a plan for further study that would include audits of laboratories and markets in Wuhan, the Chinese city where the first cases were identified. He also called for greater transparency from Beijing. “We cannot accept this kind of...

Black Lives Matter (BLM) reaffirmed its Marxist credentials by defending Cuba’s Communist dictatorship after the regime faced the largest street protests to its oppressive rule in decades. The protesters should be angry at the United States, not the Communist regime, for the Cuban people’s suffering, according to BLM and its radical left comrades. Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation, Inc. charged that the U.S. economic sanctions are “at the heart of Cuba’s current crisis." It praised the Communist regime for supporting "oppressed peoples of African descent." BLM was thrilled that the regime provided refuge to "Black revolutionaries like Assata Shakur”...

“That attack, that siege was criminal behavior, plain and simple and this behavior that we, the FBI view as domestic terrorism. It’s got no place in our democracy and tolerating it would make a mockery of our nation's rule of law.” That was FBI director Christopher Wray, in his first testimony to Congress after the January 6 riot. The “domestic terrorism” description invites a look back at the worst terrorist attack in the nation’s history, perpetrated from within the country. With the 20th anniversary of 9/11 coming up in September, and al Qaeda again calling for the murder of...

(CNN)The Chinese government will not participate in a second phase of the World Health Organization's investigation into the origins of Covid-19, a top health official announced Thursday, after the possibility of the virus leaking from a Wuhan lab was included on the proposal. Zeng Yixin, deputy head of the National Health Commission, told a press conference in Beijing he had been "surprised" to see the lab leak listed as a research objective under the second phase of the investigation.

Having captured key districts and border posts with Iran, Pakistan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, the Taliban are now hunting for women in these areas. “All imams and mullahs in captured areas should provide the Taliban with a list of girls above 15 and widows under 45 to be married to Taliban fighters,” read a letter issued in the name of the Taliban’s Cultural Commission for Islamic preachers in the region. The Taliban has promised to marry these women to their fighters and take them to Pakistan’s Waziristan. There, these women will be converted to Islam and reintegrated. Is anyone talking...

Lebanon police said they were called out to a Travel Inn on April 3 and found an unresponsive 4-month-old infant and 38-year-old Jesse Wayne Craddock, who was disoriented. Craddock and his daughter were transported by ambulance to Vanderbilt Wilson County Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead. Police took Craddock into custody after finding him in possession of what they suspected to be narcotics. An autopsy on the girl later found that she had died by asphyxiation. Police alleged that Craddock lost consciousness and fell on his daughter. Investigators said the mother of the child left him to care for...

Mahmoud Abbas has prepared a list of 15 demands that, the PA claims, must be understood as a prerequisite to negotiations with Israel. He apparently believes the Biden administration will be able to pressure Israel to accept, so eager is Washington to restart the negotiations between the Palestinian Authority and Israel, in order to revive the moribund peace process. I think he’s very wrong. Here’s the entire list of demands as reported by Elder of Ziyon.1. Reopening the Orient House and other Palestinian institutions in eastern Jerusalem closed since 2001 Orient House was used by the PLO as its...

Will those committed to Judeo-Christian values react before it's too late? Reprinted From the Gatestone Institute. London. May 23. An organization called The Palestinian Solidarity Campaign organized a protest against Israel. 180,000 people turned up. Placards compared Israelis to the Nazis, and black flags of jihadist movements, accompanied by cries of "Allahu Akbar", fluttered alongside the Palestinian flags. "Israel, the new Nazi state", some read; and "Nazis are still around, now they call themselves Zionists". This kind of comparison is now common among many in Europe who also seem sympathetic to Marxism, in which there always has to be an...

As the Cuban crisis unfolds, we are seeing an unprecedented number of protesters. Some of these dissidents could lose their lives for their bravery. A friend of mine from church, Carlos, is from Cuba. Carlos was a political prisoner for 18 months in his home country. His crime? Trying to escape Cuba. Eventually, he did get to escape. I asked him about today’s protests. He said, “62 years later — this is the first time the people arose. It’s not over. At least they’re not afraid to protest any more. At this point they have nothing to lose.” One would...

Representative Ro Khanna (D-CA) said Wednesday on CNN’s “Situation Room” that the House Select Committee on the January 6 Capitol riots will have to hear testimony from former President Donald Trump. Guest host Jim Acosta asked, “House Speaker Nancy Pelosi accepted three of McCarthy’s picks for this committee. What does it tell you, and how do you respond from McCarthy pulling all of them?” Khanna said, “It’s so unfortunate Speaker Pelosi has appointed a bipartisan commission with Liz Cheney on it. She wanted this to be bipartisan to get to the facts. Look I served with Representative Jim Jordan on...

VIDEOThe most surprising thing about the media defense of their beloved Anthony Fauci was how little defense there was of him in the media. And what little defense there was of Fauci pretty much skipped over the meat of Senator Rand Paul's charge against Fauci that he approved funding (direct or indirect) of "Gain of Function" research at the Wuhan lab. Since the documentation is out there to prove Paul's case, the Fauci fans were forced to lamely defend their hero with childish antics that have nothing to do with the charge as you can see.

This week, Gov. Brian Kemp of Georgia announced the appointment of Judge Verda Colvin to the Supreme Court of Georgia. Colvin, who served as a judge in Bibb County, became a sensation in 2016 from a video of her lecture to teens who were participating in the Bibb County Sheriff's Office's "Consider the Consequences" program. The video, which went viral, begins with Colvin standing in a courtroom filled with teenagers who had had run-ins with the law. She shakes out a white body bag and tells them: "You can have the ultimate experience to be in this body bag. The...

For months, bloggers on the fringe of alternative media have been characterizing COVID-19 and its aftermath as a "plandemic" that had been planned out during two pandemic simulations: SPARS in 2017 and Event 201 in 2019. These conferences were supposedly organized to anticipate the policies and resources that would be needed to fight the next pandemic. Believers in the plandemic scenario discussed parallels between these simulations and today's pandemic that ranged from the concrete to the fanciful, but neither proved beyond the shadow of a doubt that COVID-19 had been planned. Then along came testimony from the chair of M-CAM,...
