VIDEOAs CNN's Technical Director Charlie Chester revealed via Project Veritas to his Tinder date, "Fear Sells," which is why CNN is now hyping Global Warming in a big way as he predicted. One example of CNN selling fear could be seen on last Sunday's "Reliable Sources" in which the George Costanza look-a-like host, Brian Stelter, hyped the Global Warming fear in a big way to the extent that one guest even claimed it is worse than the Holocaust.

Council members have the authority to steer millions of dollars to pet programs — and boy, did they ever, likely saddling the next administration and New Yorkers with a yawning deficit. The amount of funding spent via council initiatives exploded from $376 million last year to $516 million this year — a 37 percent increase The funding under Johnson’s direct control — the Speaker’s Initiatives to Address Citywide Needs — skyrocketed from $6.79 million last year to $34.65 million ...We got a stimulus, we’re investing it in the working class. Cry about it.” This would be a good application for...

WASHINGTON: The Biden administration will formally say “in coming weeks” who initiated the widespread Microsoft Exchange server hacks that swept the country earlier this year, Deputy National Security Advisor for Cyber and Emerging Tech Anne Neuberger said. China is the leading suspect. The attribution will be the third in a series of high-profile cyber incidents the administration has had to grapple with since taking office, including SolarWinds and Colonial Pipeline. The administration in April formally attributed SolarWinds, which began and was disclosed last year but the effects of which have spilled over into this year, to the Russian Foreign Intelligence...

Ohio Republican Senate candidate J.D. Vance said on Monday that he regrets posting since-deleted tweets critical of former President Trump. “Like a lot of people, I criticized Trump back in 2016,” Vance told Fox News's Alicia Acuna during a Monday interview. “And I ask folks not to judge me based on what I said in 2016, because I’ve been very open that I did say those critical things and I regret them, and I regret being wrong about the guy. I think he was a good president, I think he made a lot of good decisions for people, and I...

WASHINGTON, Friday, July 5. PROMPT ORGANIZATION OF THE HOUSE. The election of officers of the House was effected much quicker than ever before; the choice being made on the first ballot. The result will not disappoint many, for the weight of FORNEY'S unpopularity was too much to permit the true friends of Mr. BLAIR to hazard the attempt to elect him as Speaker on the same ticket. The proceedings of the House indicate two results, -- speedy and efficient action. The bold, decided sentiments which Speaker GROW so eloquently expressed in his acknowledgment of the honor conferred upon him, were...

A Missouri hospital ran out of ventilators over the Fourth of July weekend amid a surge in COVID-19 hospitalizations potentially caused by the spreading Delta variant. Coronavirus hospital patients in Springfield — a city of over 160,000 people — jumped about 27 percent over the holiday weekend as the area grapples with low immunization rates. The city’s two hospitals — CoxHealth and Mercy Springfield — were treating 213 COVID-19 patients as of Monday, up from 168 on Friday. Back on May 24, the two hospitals were treating just 31 coronavirus patients.

Thanks to Thomas Kanyak of @ModernConflict for the guest post. -ed. On this date in 1962, Organisation Armee Secrete (OAS) Delta commando leader Roger Degueldre was executed by firing squad at Fort d’Ivry, near Paris, France. Degueldre, 37 years old at his death, was one of only three OAS men executed by France for the terrorist excesses in the end game of the Algerian War in 1961 and 1962. Fittingly, that conflict wrenched to a conclusion five days before Degueldre’s death by musketry, with a referendum confirming Algeria’s independence from France. After the January 1960 “Barricades Week” revolt failed, Degueldre...

Leaked memos obtained from Hunter Biden's laptop have directly conflicted with the congressional testimony provided by a Democrat lobbying firm about the Biden family's foreign business dealings. The files, from the computer hard drive recovered by the FBI, debunk claims by two key executives at Blue Star Strategies who were called to testify before Congress last year.

The flare region can be seen on the right. (NASA/SDO) The Sun appears to be waking up from the quiet period of its 11-year cycle. On 3 July 2021, at 14:29 UTC (10:29 EDT), our wild star spat out its first X-class flare of Solar Cycle 25; it was the most powerful flare we've seen since September 2017. X-class flares are among the most powerful solar eruptions from our host star, with the mightiest on record being an astonishing X28 in November 2003. This new flare wasn't quite so intense, clocking in at X1.5 - but, even so, it produced...

On 15 June, 2021, Governor Greg Abbott signed Texas HB 957 into law. The new law removes the Texas prohibition on firearm suppressors, commonly known as silencers or gun mufflers. From the bill: “Firearm suppressor” means any device designed, made, or adapted to muffle the report of a firearm. From the legislative history, it appears silencers, suppressors or gun mufflers were first banned in Texas in 1973. Although they were banned in Texas law, there was an affirmative defense from prosecution if the gun mufflers were legally possessed under federal law, as shown in this AmmoLand article from 2014.As you can...

Typically, banks make money by taking deposits at low rates and lending to borrowers at higher rates (car loans, residential mortgages, business loans, etc.), earning a spread. And bank deposits are usually less than the loans that they extended. Until April 2020. Nothing has been the same since Covid. This is really a unique time, since during the last recessions (2001 and The Great Recession) bank credit exceeded bank deposits. Banks can turn to The Federal Reserve at times like these. The Fed’s reverse repo program lets eligible firms, like banks and money-market mutual-funds, park large amounts of cash overnight...

Members of a Middle East-based scouting group have converted the traditional scouting salute into a replica of the Sieg Heil salute notorious for its use by Nazi adherents, a new report reveals. It is the Palestinian Media Watch that captured the video, and posted it to see: The individuals are at an event organized by the Palestinian Scout Association and the Fatah Movement Scout Office. It happened recently in the Maroun Al-Ras area on the border with Israel. In fact, President Trump had facilitated several unprecedented peace accords between Israel and some of its Arab neighbors while he was in...

Green hydrogen is the latest “energy” fad from the global warming warriors. Today’s hydrogen hype proposes using wind and solar energy to produce “green” hydrogen by electrolysis of water. It is mainly hot air. Hydrogen will NEVER be a source of energy. Unlike coal, oil or natural gas, hydrogen rarely occurs naturally – it must be manufactured, and that process consumes far more energy than the hydrogen “fuel” can recover. It's actually an idea that is quite old and discredited. “Hydro-gen” means “born of water,” but there has been a commercial fuel containing hydrogen that was born of coal. (Maybe...

I recently explained that, as much as I am sympathetic to the goals of gay Americans who feel that they are simply fighting for equality and freedom, I cannot support those goals for two reasons. The first is biblical: same-sex relationships and endless gender variations violate God’s best plan for humanity. The second is social: when we look at the trajectory of LGBTQ+ activism, we see that it ends up going in a very dangerous and destructive direction. Recently, a man who identifies as a woman shocked patrons at a local spa when he exposed himself to the women and...

Ranked-choice voting may have suffered "a black eye" courtesy of the New York City mayoral race, according to Politico. Two weeks after city residents went to the polls to vote in the primaries, official results have not been announced, Politico said Tuesday. The city Board of Elections released incorrect vote tallies last week before fixing the totals 24 hours later. ...

The Supreme Court recently wrapped up its first term following the confirmation of Amy Coney Barrett, the third in a trifecta of conservative justices President Trump nominated to the Court -- conservative by reputation, at least. In practice, their rulings so far have left fellow conservatives scratching their heads. Take for instance a recent ruling that involved a moratorium on evictions the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention had imposed upon landlords last September and is scheduled to expire on July 31. To control the spread of the pandemic, the CDC banned landlords from evicting tenants who were behind in...
