Republican efforts to ward off critical race theory in education have led to an increase in attempts to recall school board members nationally, Ballotpedia reported. At least 51 local recall efforts targeting at least 130 elected members on K-12 school boards have been initiated in the first six months of this year. That's more than twice the annual average, according to Ballotpedia. Between 2006-2020, there were a yearly average of 23 recall efforts against 52 school board members, according to Ballotpedia. California leads in the 2021 recall effort, with 22 of the current situations occuring in the Golden State. Arizona...

20 Questions for Nancy Pelosi About January 6 Americans, and Republicans leaders including Donald Trump, should keep asking legitimate questions and demanding truthful answers. No one has milked the events of January 6 more than House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.). She set the official narrative early and often, a storyline her scribes in the news media have dutifully repeated without question or scrutiny.“[Y]esterday, the president of the United States incited an armed insurrection against America, the gleeful desecration of the U.S. Capitol, which is the temple of our American democracy,” Pelosi lamented in a hyperdramatic press conference the day after the...

Every year on July 4, Americans celebrate a miracle: the founding of the United States of America. Our Declaration of Independence has 1,337 eloquent words, crafted by Thomas Jefferson and the 56 members of the Second Continental Congress. Those words turned the world upside down. To this day, our Declaration of Independence is the only seminal document of any nation on earth to pay homage to God Almighty. No other founding instrument reflects on "the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God," nor does any other proclaim all people are "created equal" and "endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable...

This Fourth of July holiday we might pause for a moment from our festivities to ask how we collectively lost our minds over the last 15 months—and are we yet regaining any semblance of our sanity?

A pandemic caused by the leak of a Chinese-engineered virus and its coverup was cause enough for nationwide madness. But the spread of COVID–19 was followed by a nationalized and often politicized “flatten-the-curve” quarantine that soon ensured a stir-crazy nation. Tens of millions saw no people, and heard nothing human other than what was fed to them through television and computers. No wonder they grew paranoid, conspiratorial, and angry, and soon forgot the therapeutic nature of personal interaction and the shared humanity of being in the physical presence of others.

House Minority Leader Rep. Kevin McCarty (R-CA) proclaimed on Tuesday that the Democrat Party has not evolved from its days supporting slavery, Jim Crow laws, and the Ku Klux Klan, because today, the Democrat Party supports Critical Race Theory. “Democrats are desperate to pretend their party has progressed from their days of supporting slavery, pushing Jim Crow laws, and supporting the KKK,” McCarthy tweeted. “But today, the Dem Party has simply replaced the racism of the Klan with the racism of Critical Race Theory,” the congressman added. Included in McCarthy’s tweet is a video of him addressing Congress, in which...

C-SPAN’s first post-Donald Trump survey of greatest presidents indicates impeachment really is a scar on a president’s legacy—which should please House Speaker Nancy Pelosi who all but stated that was her goal. Trump’s impeachment seems to have made the topic fresh enough to have tainted (or re-tainted) the legacies of Bill Clinton and Richard Nixon. And, perhaps nominally Andrew Johnson. As noted in my book “Abuse of Power,” one day after Trump’s acquittal in the first impeachment over non-criminal articles, an angry Pelosi said at a press conference: “You’re impeached forever. You’re never getting rid of that scar.” In an...

Several members of the U.S. Women’s National Team (USWNT) turned away from the flag as a 98-year-old WWII veteran played the national anthem. The incident occurred Monday, just before the USWNT took-on Mexico in their final tune-up before the Tokyo Olympics. The veteran playing the harmonica is Pete DuPré, who has gained national notoriety playing the anthem at sporting events all over the country. The USWNT protest on Monday was not the first time U.S. athletes have snubbed the flag while qualifying for the Olympics. In late June, hammer thrower Gwen Berry also turned away from the flag during the...

Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem Psalm 116Psalm 116 1 I love the Lord, for he heard my voice; he heard my cry for mercy. 2 Because he turned his ear to me, I will call on him as long as I live. 3 The cords of death entangled me, the anguish of the grave came over me; I was overcome by distress and sorrow. 4 Then I called on the name of the Lord: “Lord, save me!” 5 The Lord is gracious and righteous; our God is full of compassion. 6 The Lord protects the unwary; when I was...

I'm no lawyer, that's for sure, and so I don't have expertise on the intricacies of the law, but I am angry as a hornet by the recent Supreme Court decision upholding the federal "eviction moratorium." On Tuesday, the high court in a divided 5-4 opinion will allow the moratorium to continue until August. This moratorium allows people to stay in their apartments and other rental units and not pay the rent they agreed to. This policy started more than a year ago when the pandemic was in full force. But the policy is unconstitutional -- an affront to basic...

Recently released satellite imagery reveals that China has embarked on what the Washington Post termed “a building spree that could signal a major expansion of Beijing’s nuclear capabilities.” Nuclear analyst Jeffrey Lewis revealed that China is building what appears to be 119 missile silos across more than 700 square miles in the Gansu desert. Construction began in February. The silos suggest Beijing no longer seeks to maintain only a “minimal deterrent.” The Chinese military may even be building a nuclear “war-fighting” capability. Lewis, the director of the East Asia Nonproliferation Program of the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies, has...

I missed Mutt Day due to the 4th of July part deux. To make up for that oversight I’ve decided to add another animal to the must-celebrate list; thus I hereby pronounce that Taco Tuesday shall henceforth serve as Chinchilla Day as well.Since chinchillas are so darned cute it does beg the question: “Are chinchillas even real?”Technically yes, they are rodents native to the Andes mountains of South America. They appear to be a cross between a rat, ground squirrels and rabbits. They purportedly make good pets…but unfortunately like all cute things south of the border one must be vigilant as...

The simple fact is that there are large, powerful donors to the Biden campaign that have big financial stakes in these green energy companies. It is a wealth transfer to Biden's biggest bundlers, and that is a huge and massive problem. For those companies with inside connections to the Biden campaign, it is American taxpayer money that is truly "shovel-ready." Former congressmen and senators, and former US ambassadors are being paid large sums of money by governments such as China, or by firms directly linked to those governments, which do not have America's best interest at heart. They are lobbying...

... But when it comes to the Iraq War, it must be said that Rumsfeld made a host of bad decisions. Instead of planning for the worst, he almost seemed to plan for the best — a quick war with as few troops as possible. The worst decision — the one that gave rise to others — was to go to war in the first place, though he was just one of several people atop the George W. Bush administration and in its orbit, starting with the president, who made that blunder. The decision was based on the assumption —...

A senior official in the San Francisco District Attorney's office linked fears of a crime surge to racism in a tweet that raised eyebrows Sunday evening. Kate Chatfield, a senior director in far-left District Attorney Chesa Boudin's office, downplayed safety concerns amid a nationwide crime spike. Chatfield was reacting to a Twitter user who said that "every single one of my friends right now is considering leaving" San Francisco due to crime fears. "My friends are scared for their children, and their husbands are scared for their wives," the user wrote. "'Husbands are scared for their wives' —-your reminder that...

Daily the Marxists/Leftists/Communists among us infiltrate every aspect of our society. Consequently, "the individual shrinks in proportion as the state grows" yet the Left continues to work towards an alleged utopia even though "this 'ideal society' would be the graveyard of human greatness." Biden and Harris speak as if "confused ideas and muddy ponds appear deep" when, in fact, they are empty rhetoric. As Nicolas Gomez Davila pointed out "stupidity is the mother of revolutionary atrocities; savageness is only the godmother" and "the greatest modern error is not to proclaim that God died, but to believe that the devil has...

A suspected home intruder has died after initiating a shoot-out with a rural California homeowner, according to the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office. The deceased, 41-year-old Rodney Lee Martin, was found inside the home with a stolen firearm on his person, authorities said. At around 12:22 p.m. on Friday, deputies responded to a 911 call from a homeowner in unincorporated Modesto, according to a statement from the sheriff's office. Upon arrival, they found Martin dead from at least one gunshot wound. The homeowner told the authorities that they rushed home after receiving an alert from their alarm company that their home...

I expect you all have read President Xi’s speech on the hundredth anniversary of the Chinese Communist Party. I have, and I was shocked. Not because of the Commie stuff, but the Whiteness. Said President Xi Jingping: China is a great nation. What? Nation? You and I know that “nation” is Whiteness squared, the very instantiation of white oppression and systemic racism. Nation equals Nationalist equals Nazi: Literally Hitler. President Xi continues, recalling the struggle to dig China out of its century of humiliation: As noble-minded patriots sought to pull the nation together, the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom Movement, the Reform Movement...

New York prosecutors on Thursday unveiled the first charges in their grand jury investigation into the Trump Organization, charging the former president’s company and its chief financial officer (CFO), Allen Weisselberg, with tax-related crimes. Prosecutors allege a 15-year scheme in which the Trump Organization compensated Weisselberg in a manner that allowed the company and the executive to evade taxes. The defendants deny any wrongdoing and argue that the charges are politically motivated. The allegations stem from a years-long investigation by the Manhattan district attorney’s office that has involved prosecutors obtaining former President Trump’s tax returns. Thursday’s indictment doesn’t charge the...
