In a free market system, sellers compete by offering products of either a higher quality, or at a lower price. However, when sellers collude to sell their products all at a fixed price, consumers pay a higher price because there is no longer a need for competition. In the private sector, this is called a cartel. In the public sector, we call it a G7 summit. Joe Biden fancies himself something of a straight shooter, so why is he not shooting straight with Americans when it comes to the G7’s latest scheme for a global minimum corporate tax of 15...

Although the insecure algorithms are still implemented in modern mobile phones, the researchers do not expect them to pose a significant threat to users. Credit: RUB, Marquard ================================================================================== The encryption algorithm GEA-1 was implemented in mobile phones in the 1990s to encrypt data connections. Since then, it has been kept secret. Now, a research team from Ruhr-Universität Bochum (RUB), together with colleagues from France and Norway, has analyzed the algorithm and has come to the following conclusion: GEA-1 is so easy to break that it must be a deliberately weak encryption that was built in as a backdoor. Although the...

This week, a video from a San Francisco Walgreens went viral on Twitter. The video depicted a man standing next to his bicycle, loading up a garbage bag with products. The man then rides his bicycle down the aisle, past a security guard, who limply throws out a hand to try to grab the bag; the shoplifter simply brushes past him, then rides out the door. This sort of thing has become exceedingly common in San Francisco. In late May, Thomas Fuller wrote in The New York Times, "At a board of supervisors hearing last week, representatives from Walgreens said...

"CBS This Morning" co-host Tony Dokoupil gave a perplexing excuse Wednesday for a man seen in a viral video stealing multiple items at a San Francisco Walgreens before exiting the store on a bicycle. Dokoupil claimed the man was probably getting something he needed and suggested that nothing should have been done to stop the crime as it was taking place. "So crime is never justified of course," Dokoupil said after CBS' Vlad Duthiers played the video of the theft. He was interrupted by co-host Anthony Mason, saying, "I will say that I think they could have made a little...

Traitor!.. A video clip shows BBC political editor Nicholas Watt being chased down and confronted by anti-lockdown protesters outside Downing Street. Protests are once again growing after Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced yet another delay to the lifting of the UK’s lockdown restrictions. As we highlighted yesterday, the public was already being prepared for an extension to the extension before the first extension was even announced. Demonstrators are once again gathering around Downing Street and the Houses of Parliament in London to express their fury. BBC Newsnight editor Nicholas Watt was caught in the crossfire of their ire as he...

GARRY KASPAROV: "Putin already got what he wanted – a summit. He might get even more, but the main exchange has already happened. Biden gave the credibility of the United States to a brutal dictator. And I heard a lot from those who defended the idea of the summit that Biden would go to Geneva to deliver a message, he’ll talk tough. ... But if Biden wanted to send a real message to Putin he would meet with Zelensky, the President of Ukraine, would go to Kiev, that’s a message… He would meet with Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya, the real President of...

If you have been following any of the G7 Summit happening in Cornwall, England, then you know the biggest story is the one the fake news media refuses to report. What’s that, you ask? It is the photographic proof that pretend president Joseph Robinette Biden is losing his mind literally and actually. So much so that his wife, pretend doctor Jill Biden, has to swoop in and rescue him as he starts to babble incoherently when asked questions. How bad is it? It’s 25th Amendment bad, that’s how bad it is. “When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice:...

A local company is working to make workplaces and schools safer as more people return to normal activities. Athena Security, an Austin-based technology company, uses a heat source reference point (HSRP) blackbody device and a thermal camera to help detect a concealed weapon. The system can also detect body temperature, check for a face covering and ask health screening questions... An Austin employment attorney said there are not legal concerns when it comes to companies using the technology. "Texas law, in general, affords employers broad latitude to monitor employees’ actions in the workplace. The key is that they just have...

A woman who poured a mix of boiling water and sugar over her husband to "extract vengeance" after a family row has been found guilty of his murder. Corinna Smith, 59, attacked 81-year-old Michael Baines while he was in bed at their home in Highfield Road in Neston, Cheshire, on 14 July 2020. He suffered extensive burns and died five weeks later in hospital. Smith denied murdering her husband of 38 years but she was found guilty by a jury at Chester Crown Court. The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) said Smith, who was also her husband's carer, had been involved...

The affidavit says as the group Tabb was in walked by the other group, Tabb said, “What y’all wanna do? Y’all wanna fight?” A minor from the other group replied with, “it’s whatever,” and then the affidavit says that’s when Tabb pulled out his gun and started shooting. The same juvenile said Tabb shot him in the leg a few days before in Killeen, the affidavit said. A police report from Killeen police supported the juvenile’s claim that Tabb was the primary suspect in that shooting, as well. Another minor police interviewed said the group immediately starting running away and...

Having a real culture that you practice yourself, vs. just being force-fed ersatz-culture by social media, is an impediment to the plans of the Masters of the Universe (hence, why the Freepers who do their own music & other arts & active lifestyle initiatives are so important). Antonio Gramsci was a very important theorist about bringing about revolution thru tearing down culture. (And Stella Morabito writes about how subversive it is to have strong personal & social intimacy.) The 2,100 billionaire oligarchs (Gates, Zuckerberg, Dorsey & Bezos), the gargantuan corporations like Blackrock and the politically agnostic Technocracy, approve of the...

In his Monday interview with NBC News, Russian President Vladimir Putin accused the U.S. government of assassinating Ashli Babbitt, the Air Force veteran whom Capitol Police shot during the January 6 riot. Putin referenced Babbitt’s death, without using her name, when NBC’s Keir Simmons asked if he ordered the assassination of Russian dissident Alexei Navalny. Navalny was nearly killed with a nerve agent while flying from Siberia to Moscow in August 2020, recovered after treatment in Germany, and was jailed upon returning to Russia in January 2021. Agents of Russia’s FSB security service have been implicated in the attempt on...

Bergoglio’s Unholy War on Sanctifying Grace“For what shall it profit a man, if he gain the whole world, and suffer the loss of his soul?” (Mark 8:36).Consideration of these words from Jesus should be enough to convince any rational person to do everything possible to save his or her soul. And, of course, such a rational person will want to know what is required to save one’s soul. As the Catholic Church teaches, we must die in a state of sanctifying grace to save our souls.Dr. Ludwig Ott’s Fundamentals of Catholic Dogma lists several de fide truths relating to sanctifying...

Florida’s Republican Governor Ron DeSantis just torched critical race theory (CRT) by calling it “poison” that he’s happy to have banned in his state. This took place on last night’s interview with show host Sean Hannity who discussed critical race theory with the big red state governor. Sean Hannity got it started off by saying: “You said the woke class wants to teach kids to hate each other rather than teaching them how to read. We’re not going to let them bring nonsense ideology into Florida schools. You love the state; you love the country. And it’s unthinkable: There are...

The United States is pursuing every avenue to ensure that countries suspend or roll back discriminatory digital services taxes, but will keep tariffs as an option if that does not happen, U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said on Wednesday. Yellen told the Senate Finance Committee she had engaged in “very constructive” bilateral conversations with the Irish finance minister on the issue, and believed the entire European Union would ultimately support an increase in global minimum taxes, as proposed by the United States. She said she was hoping for progress on the tax issue, which is being negotiated under the leadership...

NEW YORK, NY—The New York Times called The Babylon Bee dangerous far-right misinformation but has now retracted that claim and issued a correction after reviewing the data and admitting The Babylon Bee actually has a really high accuracy rate in predicting the future. "We are sorry we called The Babylon Bee misinformation," the Times wrote on its corrections page. "After further review, it's clear The Babylon Bee is reporting real news just a few days ahead of time. The stories just keep coming true."
