As leaders from the G7 group of seven industrialised nations – United States, Britain, France, Germany, Italy, Canada and Japan – meet at a luxury seaside resort in Cornwall, their implicit message is that they stand as a bulwark of democracies... For the host nation UK, “shared values and open societies” are on top of the Foreign and Development Track for the ongoing summit. This is also the premise behind having four special invitees – India, Australia, South Korea and South Africa. In January, Bloomberg had first reported that the UK had proposed that the ‘guests’ sign an “Open Societies...

Welcome to Your Weekend the sentiments of my week expressed in the music set that reflects my opening up the boxes of my past to sort things out and throw away some things and keep others. The cards and letters from people in my past like the guy that lived in an "Animal House" fraternity setting and ended up joining the Salvation Army. The man who was the Best Man at my wedding who told me the truth about myself just years after I got married and was working in the mainstream media serving as the officer of the church...

Unless you’re a Tennessee Titans fan, the name Antonio Andrews probably doesn’t ring a bell. A former undrafted free agent of the Titans, the former running back played a total 34 career NFL games, enjoying his best season in 2015 when he rushed for 520 yards and three touchdowns. After that, though, his career sort of just fizzled out. What Andrews has been up to since then is anybody’s guess. But his name is making headlines today because, for some reason, the guy decided that biting a woman’s nose while on a date with her would be a good way...

According to a CNN report, the G7 leaders aired serious differences over the approach and the disagreements reportedly became so sensitive at one point that all internet was shut off to the room. Biden has reportedly taken a more hawkish stance but some other leaders are wary of the risk of being seen as an outright anti-China bloc. During Saturday's first session of the G7 summit, Canada, Britain and France largely endorsed Biden's position, while Germany, Italy and the European Union showed more hesitancy, The G7 leaders also discussed setting up a task force on issues related to China. Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wis.) slammed an audit of the 2020 election in Maricopa County, Ariz., calling it an “effort to subvert democracy.” Cheney weighed in on the audit on Friday, blasting it on Twitter. The GOP-controlled Arizona state Senate is overseeing an audit of more than 2.1 million votes cast in the county last year. President Biden won narrowly Arizona over former President Trump by less than 11,000 votes, becoming the first Democrat to carry the state since 1996. Biden specifically won 49.81 percent of the vote in Maricopa County, compared to Trump’s 47.65 percent. “What is happening in Maricopa...

A shot in the arm could lead to some free shots with some arms. The Greene County Health District, located in southwest Ohio near Dayton, is teaming with the Ohio Division of Wildlife to hold a “Shoot for a Shot” coronavirus vaccination clinic on Saturday. Licensed shooters who get the vaccine at the clinic will receive a free day at the shooting range where the clinic is being held. “We know that it is important to bring life-saving COVID-19 vaccines to people at the places they go, and offer incentives with the things they do and enjoy,” Greene County Health...

Praises Biden administrationROME (ChurchMilitant.com) - A top European prelate is dissing European nationalism and celebrating Joe Biden's administration. While reflecting on the so-called pandemic, Cdl. Jean-Claude Hollerich of Luxembourg took time in a Thursday interview to promote the European Union (EU). He also took the opportunity to blast those who stand against the EU's hegemony over Western Europe. "It gives us some humility, but also shows the necessity of the European integration process because, without that process, we would be back in 1914 and 1939," charged Hollerich. For him, the risk of returning to a time of world war is...

Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem Psalm 93Psalm 93 1 The Lord reigns, he is robed in majesty; the Lord is robed in majesty and armed with strength; indeed, the world is established, firm and secure. 2 Your throne was established long ago; you are from all eternity. 3 The seas have lifted up, Lord, the seas have lifted up their voice; the seas have lifted up their pounding waves. 4 Mightier than the thunder of the great waters, mightier than the breakers of the sea— the Lord on high is mighty. 5 Your statutes, Lord, stand firm; holiness adorns...

Then there are all the suggestions that the UFOs are optical illusions, meteorological phenomena or electromagnetic events The Silly Season has come early this year. Normally it happens in August, when wicked people all over the northern hemisphere temporarily stop doing evil things to take their children to the beach and enjoy the last of the summer. With no bad news to report, desperate journalists will run any story, however silly. Why is it Silly Season in June this year? Because the US Department of Defence has announced that it will release a report on 'Unidentified Aerial Phenomena' (UAPs), which...

PHOENIX — What former president Donald Trump seems to think is his best hope to unravel the 2020 election looks a lot like an outsize board game — a game with few apparent rules and no clear endpoint. On a recent day on the floor of a sports arena with a roof shaped like a Pringle, there were four teams of ballot-counters clad in cartoonish colors: banana yellow, Gumby green, Cookie Monster blue, and Elmo red. They were clustered in groups of three around big round tables, each outfitted with a lazy Susan that matched their T-shirts and whirled ballots...

Yorktown High School in Arlington, Virginia wanted to honor its class of 2021 graduates with a big party on school grounds. If any class deserves a big party to celebrate graduation, it’s the class of 2021. The Yorktown class of 2021 suffered through more than a year of severely limited in-person school activities due to the pandemic and the highly questionable policies imposed in response. To raise money for the party, parents reached out to local businesses for donations. The Washington Nationals generously responded with a baseball signed by pitcher Patrick Corbin, one the heroes of the Nats’ triumphant post-season...
