A Daily Mail investigation has uncovered additional evidence that the COVID-19 coronavirus may have originated in a military virus lab in Wuhan, China, despite denials from the Chinese Communists that the military was involved. In February, the World Health Organization concluded that there was no evidence for the lab origin theory, and that the team investigating the virus’s origins should stop pursuing that theory. Hundreds of scientists around the world were outraged and demanded the WHO continue looking into the Wuhan lab hypothesis. The Wuhan Institute of Virology project began nine years ago and was tasked with studying bat viruses....

Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich rejected calls by Democrats for an investigation into possible irregularities in the newly begun Senate audit of the 2020 Maricopa County ballots. Soros-funded Secretary of State Katie Hobbs cited media reports to push for an investigation into security lapses. This was just the latest attempt by panicked Democrats to delay the forensic audit of the Maricopa County ballots. Democrats have fought this process every step of the way. What could they possibly be afraid of?

Zhang Weili, who lost her UFC strawweight championship to Rose Namajunas at Saturday's UFC 261, was targeted with a chorus of boos from the Florida crowd, apparently for no other reason than she hails from China. The UFC's first fight card to take place in front of a capacity crowd in more than a year was worth the wait. From title changes, to upsets, to stunning one-shot knockouts... and, well, whatever it was that happened to Chris Weidman's leg, but one element from the evening which may have left a bad taste in some fight fans' mouths was the not-so-warm...

Well, it’s not looking all that good for the folks trying to take down Matt Gaetz. What started out as a scandal that looked and sounded like it might actually become *something* has fizzled into nothing. Now, I’m not saying that the fake news did a good job, but Matt didn’t handle things well out of the gate, he got a bit weird and a tad frazzled – and the story about the extortion sounded so convoluted and wild. But it was real. But we’re nearly a month into this thing and so far not one single “accuser” has come...

In Turkey, the coronavirus pandemic weighs on an already ailing economy. The Turkish lira plunged to almost record-levels after President Erdogan fired his third central-bank chief in two years … to install a like-minded critic of high interest rates. A rate decision is due today. Restaurant manager Rengin Atac is at his wits end. The lockdown forced him to shut his business with its 15 employees for months, and now into Ramadan as well – because of rising coronavirus infection numbers. To make matters worse, inflation is running at a rate of 16 percent per month. A lot of Turks...

As humans, we know we are conscious because we experience and feel things. Yet scientists and great thinkers are unable to explain what consciousness is and they are equally baffled about where it comes from."Consciousness — or better, conscious experience — is obviously a part of reality," said Johannes Kleiner, a mathematician and theoretical physicist at the Munich Center For Mathematical Philosophy, Germany. "We're all having it but without understanding how it relates to the known physics, our understanding of the universe is incomplete."With that in mind, Kleiner is hoping math will enable him to precisely define consciousness. Working with...

Taking a knee during the Tokyo Olympics or lifting a fist in support of racial equality will be punished as the International Olympic Committee on Wednesday maintained its ban on athletes' protests inside stadiums, at ceremonies and on podiums. The IOC's Rule 50 forbids any kind of "demonstration or political, religious or racial propaganda" in venues and any other Olympic area and the Games body concluded the rule should be maintained following an athlete consultation. Against the backdrop of the Black Lives Matter movement protesting racial injustice, calls have increased in recent months for a change to that rule that...

===== I'm now a major in the Marine Corps Reserve and a member of a formerly all-male infantry battalion.* This past weekend we had our monthly drill period. A few days before drill, the command told us that all scheduled training on Sunday morning was canceled and replaced with a "stand-down to address extremism in the ranks." It was left-wing political programming, as direct as it sounds. We were instructed that there is a Taliban-like threat in the United States called "domestic terrorism." These terrorists are characterized in part by "anti-government," "anti-authority" or "abortion-related" extremism and various "supremacist" ideas. None...

Hollywood is full of anti-border wall celebrities. But on Tinseltown’s biggest night, ten-foot security fences have been erected around Union Station in Los Angeles, California, to keep celebrities safe and the public out during Sunday’s 93rd Academy Awards. The perimeter around Union Station is cordoned off by security fences and the entrances to the building are blocked by similar structures. Signs posted to the fences bear a stark warning: “This property is closed to the public. No entry without permission.” The security fence runs completely counter to the anti-border wall mantras which flood out of Hollywood.

"Love Is Like Oxygen" is a song by the British band Sweet, co-written by the group's guitarist Andy Scott and Trevor Griffin, and released in January 1978. The song was a departure from earlier recordings by Sweet, which were more guitar-driven and featured high vocal harmonies. The extended album version of the song (6 minutes 57 seconds) appeared on their album Level Headed, incorporates strings and has some disco elements. The Sweet - "Love is Like Oxygen" (1978, Full Version)

THE SPACEX starstip is reported to have had a near miss with a UFO - with astronauts on board told to buckle up and prepare for a crash, Nasa has revealed. While en route to the International Space Station after a successful launch in Florida, the four crew members were notified they could soon collide with an unknown object. There was no time to perform an avoidance manoeuvre and instead the astronauts on board SpaceX's recycled Crew Dragon capsule, the Endeavour, were told to put on their pressurized suits in case of a collision, reports Futurism. "The NASA/SpaceX team was...

‘It’s evil’: Why we can’t accept vaccine passports'This is unacceptable. Unless you shut down your smartphone or laptop and smashed them under a rock, then you’ve probably seen this photo that has been making the rounds online this week. A scannable QR code advertisement created by drones above the skies of Shanghai. Beautiful. pic.twitter.com/s3T4Fb9314 — John Pathfinder Lester (@Pathfinder) April 17, 2021 If not, let me recap! Last Saturday, a huge, mysterious QR code appeared in the night sky of Shanghai, above the Bund, the city’s iconic waterfront promenade. Bilibili, an enormously popular Chinese video sharing and streaming site, used 1,500 computer-controlled drones to create the illuminated image, which was...

ORLANDO — Former President Donald Trump may be one of the most important influencers in the 2022 election, but House Republicans are huddling without him in his home state of Florida as they craft a message that can help them win back the majority next year. Lawmakers gathered in Orlando beginning on Sunday for an annual, three-day issues conference to help chart a course on messaging and policy priorities for the next 18 months. There will be no pep talk from the former GOP president, who helped create a schism within the party on what role, if any, Trump should...

Scientists have spotted one of the largest stellar flares ever recorded in our galaxy. The jets of plasma shot outward from the sun's nearest neighbor, the red dwarf star Proxima Centauri. The flare, which was around 100 times more powerful than any experienced in our solar system, could change the way scientists think about solar radiation and alien life.Proxima Centauri is a red dwarf — the smallest, dimmest and most common type of main sequence stars in the galaxy — located approximately 4.25 light-years from Earth. Its mass is only one-eighth of the sun's, and it is orbited by two...

South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham (R) on Sunday slammed Democrats for blocking Sen. Tim Scott’s (R-SC) legislation that would reform policing in America. He also hit back at the idea that America is “systemically racist.” “We would have police reform in the last Congress, but Chuck Schumer and Kamala Harris made a conscious effort to block bringing up Tim Scott’s reform bill,” Graham said on “Fox News Sunday.” “They filibustered Tim Scott’s bill because they didn’t want Tim Scott and President Trump to get credit for it,” Graham continued. The one area where Democrats and Republicans are still negotiating is...
