  • Possible government shutdown?

@ChadPergram 1) Fox is told it’s possible the House will likely try to approve via unanimous consent (meaning no member objects) a short-term spending bill to avert a government shutdown later tonight. 2) If that’s not possible, the House will likely call a vote on the short-term spending measure. They’ll have to treat it as a “suspension” bill. That means they can get the measure to the floor quickly, but it requires a two-thirds vote to pass. 3) And then things are up to the Senate. That could take a while...if there is no deal to speed things up just...

The Constitution provides for a remedy in case there is any suspicion of fraud in a Presidential election. A single Senator can object to the seating of electors as valid and the election will be thrown to the States. There are signs that Sen Majority Leader McConnell is willing to suppress the votes of Senators against the election. No doubt they are pushing the line that changing the election outcome now would let loose Antifa and BLM, the dogs of war of the Dem. Party and the MSM. Not to worry--they are domiciled in blue states so let them loose...

The failed state of California is bleeding enough population to lose a House seat and an electoral vote. There are only so many seats in the U.S. House of Representatives and so many electoral votes, and those are earned based on your specific state’s proportion of the population when compared to the rest of the country

The Trump administration has taken steps to roll back some pretty high-profile rules. You might have heard of its moves to eliminate the ban on drilling for oil on public land, or maybe anti-fracking rules, or the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals policy. But here’s another deregulatory effort that has flown more under the radar: the Food and Drug Administration on Wednesday proposed scrapping its rules governing the makeup of…frozen cherry pies. Small potatoes? Maybe. But Scott Gottlieb, the former FDA chief, applauded it as a fat slice of liberty for the populace. “The American people are free (to) add...

Fauci hailed the public vaccination of the vice president as an important symbolic message that should give confidence to the rest of the nation that it is safe to get the shot. "The time is now to step to the plate and, when your time comes, to get vaccinated. Because when we’re speaking to you today, I often say it is really bittersweet," Fauci said. "The bitterness is the fact of what the vice president mentioned. We still are in the middle of a very difficult situation with record numbers of cases, hospitalizations and deaths." "But the sweetness is the...
  • Watch: Tom Cruise’s Social Distancing Rant Gets Dubbed Into ‘Rudolph’ Scene And It’s Hysterical

The audio of Tom Cruise’s profanity-laced tirade about social distancing and COVID-19 on the set of Mission Impossible 7 was dubbed into Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer and it’s the laugh you probably need this month. Tom Cruise’s temper tantrum on the movie set of Mission Impossible 7 caused a lot of commotion. He’s an A-List star and he wants everyone to obey. However, he didn’t believe they were practicing appropriate social distancing.

Goodness. In what sounds like a dare, McDonald’s China is offering a Spam burger with crumbled cookies. As pointed out by Daniel Ahmad on Twitter, the burger will go on sale in China starting December 21 and will apparently be limited to 400,000 Spam Oreo sandwiches. Do note that the fine print does mention the Spam trademark and not the Oreo one. Oreos, of course, are widely available in China (and globally there are countless Oreo-type cookies), but according to Ahmad, the text does say Oreo.

A smart friend of mine who is a moderate liberal asked why I was not recognizing Joe Biden’s victory. The friend made the case that Biden had gotten more votes, and historically we recognize the person with the most votes. Normally, we accept the outcome of elections just as we accept the outcomes of sporting events. So, my friend asked why was 2020 different? Having spent more than four years watching the left #Resist President Donald Trump and focus entirely on undoing and undermining the 2016 election, it took me several days to understand the depth of my own feelings....

On Friday, Sen. Tim Kaine (D-VA) reacted to the alleged hacks orchestrated by Russia on multiple U.S. federal agencies, including the Department of Homeland Security. Kaine argued during MSNBC’s “Andrea Mitchell Reports” that the alleged cyberattack shows we cannot count on the President Donald Trump administration to keep Americans safe. However, he touted President-elect Joe Biden’s incoming national security team as “competent” enough to do so.

ormer Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton on Thursday took to Twitter to push back against Trump supporters “offended” by President-elect Joe Biden’s former campaign manager cursing when talking about GOP lawmakers in a recent interview. Republicans took aim at incoming deputy chief of staff Jen O’Malley Dillon after she called GOP lawmakers “a bunch of f---ers” and said Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) is “terrible” in an interview published by Glamour on Tuesday. One of the most commercially successful painters of the last century, Montague Dawson, born in Chiswick, West London is acknowledged as a supreme painter of the sea, sailing ships and the deep ocean. His father and grandfather were both marine painters, and this maritime background was reinforced when, early in his life, his family moved to Smugglers House on Southampton Water, on England's south coast. Dawson never went to art school but, around 1910, he joined a commercial art studio in London, working on posters and illustrations.Joining the Royal Navy at the outbreak of the First World War, Dawson met Charles...
