A woman near Adelaide had the best tree-topper of all time—at least for a day.Amanda McCormick found that her Christmas tree had a new ornament after a live koala wandered into her home and snuggled up the branches of the white pine. Lucky for the internet, she took pictures before calling a wildlife rescue group, 1300KOALAZ. “Our hotline operator took a call,” the charity wrote on FB. “At first she thought she was the victim of a prank call.” They merrily reported that the koala was “desperate to get in the Christmas spirit.” Amanda, who lives in Coromandel Valley in...

The ignorance and the lies concerning the Wuhan virus can't continue much longer, because time is simply revealing the truth about it. December 5, 2020 (American Thinker) — The ignorance and the lies concerning the Wuhan virus can't continue much longer, because time is simply revealing the truth about it. As we continue to suffer under foolish Wuhan virus restrictions, and as many parts of the U.S. — especially those under the rule of Democrats — are again ramping up the shutdowns and the lockdowns, more and more Americans are beginning to see what many of us have long known:...

The Democrats cannot win the two Senate seats in Georgia without cheating. There is no doubt about it. We need to make the counters fear that they will be torn limb-from-limb before they can leave the building if they even think about cheating. I am seriously considering making the 10-hour drive to Atlanta to stand outside one of the tabulation centers and shriek "Stop the Steal" at the top of my lungs for however many hours it takes. If we could get a few thousand people at each tabulation center screaming "Stop the Steal" so loudly that it shook the...

In a November 2, 2020 video uploaded to his YouTube channel, Berlin-based Syrian YouTuber Fayez Kanfash dragged by rope “Macron, the dog” - a man wearing a mask of French President Emmanuel Macron through the streets of Berlin. While burning pictures of Macron, Kanfash hit the man and shouted at him that he is a lowlife and a dog. Kanfash told onlookers that this is how people who curse Islam and the Prophet Muhammad will be treated, and he led people in chants of “Allah Akbar!” The video concludes with Kanfash being interrogated by several police officers. Kanfash’s YouTube channel...

Pope Francis sides with Biden saying society must 'build back better' In a gesture of support for Joe Biden, Pope Francis yesterday quoted words that are central to Biden’s plan to remake America in the wake of the COVID-19 “pandemic”, when he tweeted:"To help our society to ‘build back better’, inclusion of the vulnerable must also entail efforts to promote their active participation.” Biden last week launched his BuildBackBetter.gov website listing his radical priorities including forced mask-wearing, climate change, and the creation of a “national police oversight commission” (scrutinizing police), which Francis in his tweet is backing. The pope...

Today, I have signed into law H.R. 8247, the “Veterans Comprehensive Prevention, Access to Care, and Treatment (COMPACT) Act of 2020” (the “Act”). The Act amends various authorities of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) related to transition assistance from military to civilian life, suicide prevention and care, and improvement in care and services for women veterans. Two provisions of the Act (section 101(b)(2) and section 202(d)(2)(B)) purport to require the VA Secretary to evaluate whether additional legislative action is needed to implement or expand the programs related to information sharing and mental health education. My Administration will treat these...

Holiday movies are a time-honored tradition, and this season could signal that queer couples are finally getting a seat at the table. Hulu and the Hallmark Channel have both released holiday films that feature LGBTQ couples in the main storyline. And there are at least seven new movies this month that have some sort of representation as well. "Compared to previous years, and the amount of LGBTQ-inclusive films that are out, it's like night and day," GLAAD's CEO and president, Sarah Kate Ellis told CNN. "We've really gone from zero to 100." "Hollywood understands that the business model works, and...

Nearly 250 years ago, heroes of our Revolution signed the Declaration of Independence, offering a bold enumeration of inalienable rights endowed to us by our Creator. In time, with independence secured from a tyrannical monarchy, our Nation etched these principles of liberty and equality into the law of our fledgling Nation when we ratified our Constitution. The revolutionary idea they embodied — that certain individual rights are beyond the reach of government — has resonated around the world. Today, and this week, we celebrate our sacred rights and the example they have set for the rest of history.James Madison, who...

RAJU: “Months ago when you said I’m not going to going to —“ [crosstalk] PELOSI: “I’m going to tell you something — don’t characterize what we did before as a mistake, as a preface to your question if you want an answer. That was not a mistake, it was a decision, and it’s taken us to a place where we can do the right thing without other, shall we say, considerations in the legislation that we don’t want. Now, that is it.” RAJU: “So she said it was not a mistake and she’s pointing to what she calls a quote,...

On the morning of December 7, 1941, Imperial Japanese forces ambushed the Naval Station Pearl Harbor on the Hawaiian island of Oahu. Tragically, 2,403 Americans perished during the attack, including 68 civilians. On this National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day, we solemnly honor and uphold the memory of the patriots who lost their lives that day — “a date which will live in infamy” — and we reflect on the courage of all those who served our Nation with honor in the Second World War.Seventy nine years ago, Imperial Japan launched an unprovoked and devastating attack on our Nation. Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito asked officials in Pennsylvania to file briefs by Tuesday at 9 a.m. in response to a lawsuit filed by Rep. Mike Kelly (R-Pa.) in a bid to overturn the state’s election results. Tuesday, notably, is the “safe harbor” deadline that requires controversies surrounding elections to be ended so states can choose their electors before the Dec. 14 meeting of the Electoral College. Alito initially called for response arguments by 4 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 9, before it was changed. The Tuesday, Dec. 8 deadline could be a signal that the Supreme Court takes up Kelly’s case,...

On Dec. 2, 2020, President Donald Trump delivered a speech that detailed some of the abuse and fraud in the 2020 general election, saying: “As president, I have no higher duty than to defend the laws and the Constitution of the United States. That is why I am determined to protect our election system, which is now under coordinated assault and siege.” Our country was founded under George Washington’s leadership, as he led our army to win the War of Independence. We were fortunate to have President Abraham Lincoln, who kept us united by leading us through the Civil War....

Today is the feast day of Santa Claus himself, St. Nicholas. Nicholas was a real-life bishop in fourth century Asia Minor. He’s among the prelates to sign off on the Nicene Creed, Christianity’s official profession of orthodox doctrine hammered out at the emperor Constantine’s epochal Council of Nicaea. Living as he did amid the triumph of his once-persecuted faith, Saint Nick was not called upon to offer God his own martyrdom. Our death penalty context comes from one of the stories in his hagiography — that on one occasion, returning to the seat of his diocese at Myra, Nicholas discovered...

Matthew McConaughey recently had some very refreshing thoughts about politics in America. McConaughey sat down for an awesome interview with Russell Brand following the release of “Greenlights,” and it sounds like he’s not a fan of the elitist attitude found within his own industry. “There are a lot on that illiberal left that absolutely condescend, patronize and are arrogant towards the other 50%,” McConaughey explained. He added that people in Hollywood “were in denial” about President Donald Trump winning the 2016 election.
