Among the extracts from foreign journals, published in yesterday's TIMES, was one from the West African Herald, in which it is clearly shown that the Slave-trade was never more prosperous than it is in the year 1860. When the traffic was legal, and was carried on between many countries and the Coast of Africa, the traders were not so numerous as they are now when the Island of Cuba is the only market open to them, and large fleets keep vigilant watch both in African and American waters. Our correspondent at Havana, in a letter recently published, estimated that 30,000...

Democrats have been trying to win Arizona for several election cycles, convinced that the growing Latino vote would turn the state blue. But in an election where Republicans grew among Latinos, migration from blue states was a major factor. That’s the analysis floated by Gene Balk at the Seattle Times, who notes that “priced-out California liberals” have moved to Arizona in large numbers, and migration from Washington State — another liberal stronghold — was second-highest. I looked at census data on state-to-state migration and found that since the 2016 election — from 2017 to 2019 — about 150,000 Californians who...

When Americans object to lockdowns and mandatory masks, Leftists cry “trust the science.” This phrase reveals just how little they actually know about science. Einstein, who did know something about science, said “the most important thing is to never stop questioning;” he did not say “never stop trusting.” Americans need to recognize that the leftists’ mantra is not about science but about silence. It is a fundamental tenet of science to doubt everything, including political statements. Science is an ever-changing field where competing ideas are hypothesized, tested, and then followed by vigorous challenges that frequently overturn earlier findings. Science has...

An opinion piece published by a hard-line Iranian newspaper on Sunday suggested Iran should attack the Israeli port city of Haifa if Israel carried out the killing of a scientist linked to its disbanded military nuclear program. Though the hard-line Kayhan newspaper has long argued for aggressive retaliation for operations targeting Iran, Sunday’s opinion piece went further, suggesting any assault be carried out in a way that destroys facilities and “also causes heavy human casualties.” Israel, suspected of killing Iranian nuclear scientists over the past decade, has not commented on Friday’s slaying of Mohsen Fakhrizadeh. Iranian officials roundly have blamed...

Although the recent conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan has been presented as a “territorial dispute,” something else -- namely religious animosity, or that old Islamic hate for infidels --has permeated it. For example, several reports and testimonials, including one by an independent French journalist, confirmed that Turkey was funneling jihadi/terrorist groups that had been operating in Syria and Libya -- including the pro-Muslim Brotherhood Hamza Division, which kept naked, sex slave women in prison -- to terrorize the Armenians. Similarly, Armenian churches that have come under Azerbaijani control have been desecrated -- despite promises from the authorities to protect them....

Trump Attorney Lin Wood tweeted earlier this month. Biden & his criminal cronies are not going to sleep well tonight. Well, Biden might because he probably forgot the name Scytl. His co-conspirators know name well. They also know the name Paragon, company which purchased Scytl in 10/20. Every will be revealed. LinkPeople on the ground in Germany allegedly report that Scytl, which hosting U.S. elections data through Spain, was raided by a large US ARMY force & their Servers were Seized in Frankfurt. Why can't the Broncos sign a quarterback? The logical thought one might have to the Broncos not having a quarterback is to simply sign a new one. But the NFL implemented COVID-19 rules for new players, which limits when they can actually play for a team. Per the NFL protocols, a new player cannot enter their team facility or start to practice until they test negative for five straight days and then test negative on the sixth day with a point of contact test. Even if the Broncos reacted right away and signed a quarterback after Driskel's positive test, there...

During an NFL football game, each coach has the ability to challenge the referee's ruling on the field at the end of any play. (There are lots of restrictions on this right designed to discourage its use in all but the most important plays.) Let's say a running back bursts through the line for a gain of 12 yards and then is tackled by a linebacker. As the running back is going to the ground, he fumbles the ball, and a player on the other team falls on it. As the defense is jumping up and down and celebrating this...

The Western Journal is presenting this memorandum, written by two prominent conservative legal scholars, essentially verbatim, with only enough editing to format it for the Op-Ed section of our website. Because of the importance of the subject matter and its potential to impact the results of the 2020 presidential election, we felt it was even more important than usual to allow these newsworthy authors their own voice, with as light a touch from our editorial staff as possible. — Ed. note The American People deserve lawful presidential elections: “No right is more precious in a free country than that of...

At this very minute, a covert war is raging across the globe, pitting Trump's DoD and DIA (Defense Intelligence Agency) against black hat deep state factions running the CIA. The good news is: Trump is winning. As you know by now, the DoD launched a raid on a CIA-run server farm in Frankfurt, Germany, to secure servers that contain proof of CIA interference with the 2020 election (i.e. backdoor manipulations of election results via Dominion voting machines). But new information is now surfacing that indicates there was a firefight at the server farm facility, involving US Army Special Forces units,...

A few days ago, I forwarded a note about the proposed joint resolutions of the Pennsylvania legislators to refuse to certify the results of a patently fraudulent election. I got a response which certainly anticipates the Democrats’ talking points: “Disenfranchising voters is not what conservatives do.” Of course not. It's what Democrats do by diluting their votes time and again with illegal and nonexistent voters. Refusing to recognize fraud by removing such votes from the tally at certification time is what conservatives should do. To fail to do so is to ensure that we will never have free, honest elections...
