Open question: given the corruption and legal disputes around elections at least since Florida's hanging chads, just curious to see what people think would be a better system either at state or federal level.

Contrary to leftist naysaying rhetoric, the Constitution of the United States provides the best legal instructions possible for insuring equality with liberty for all. That the Constitution is not always faithfully followed, even by Supreme Court justices, tells us that equality before the law can get corrupted into equality under the law, turning America's Law of the Land into an instrument of control by special-interest power players. When political passion fails to get restrained by law above partisan interests, it corrupts government and hurts the people under its rule. This came about in France during a revolution in 1789 that...

STERLING, Va. - Housing Secretary Ben Carson is crediting unapproved, experimental treatments with saving his life after he became “desperately ill” following his infection with the coronavirus. There is no medical evidence that the treatments Carson cited worked. A retired neurosurgeon, Carson said Friday that he believes he’s now “out of the woods.” He disclosed that his wife, Candy, also had COVID-19, the disease the coronavirus causes. Carson tested positive earlier this month. In a statement posted on Facebook, Carson said he was “extremely sick” but saw “dramatic improvement” after taking a botanical treatment derived from the oleander plant. Carson...

In these coronavirus times, it's one thing to encourage people not to gather in large groups for Thanksgiving. But for such purposes, is it necessary to trash the most beloved holiday in America's secular calendar? Yes, apparently—if you had the misfortune of tuning into MSNBC's AM Joy this morning. Guest host Jason Johnson tipped off the trashing of Thanksgiving by saying: "I know in my family, I know several people who call it 'Colonizer Christmas,' because they don't really like the idea of what Thanksgiving represents."Get the rest of the story and view the video here.

President Donald Trump’s campaign lawyers said Saturday they would file an appeal to the Third Circuit court after a federal judge dismissed a lawsuit to challenge the results of the election in Pennsylvania. Trump 2020 attorneys former Mayor Rudy Giuliani and Jenna Ellis said in a statement: Today’s decision turns out to help us in our strategy to get expeditiously to the U.S. Supreme Court. Although we fully disagree with this opinion, we’re thankful to the Obama-appointed judge for making this anticipated decision quickly, rather than simply trying to run out the clock. The lawsuit argued that the legal guarantee...

One of California Governor Gavin Newsom's children may have been exposed to the coronavirus at school and is in quarantine, a spokesman said on Friday. The child began a 14-day quarantine 'from the date of exposure' after the family was told a classmate at the private school had tested positive for COVID-19, spokesperson Nathan Click said in an emailed statement. The rest of the governor's family is not quarantining because they weren't directly exposed.

Loeffler's campaign said in a statement that she took both a rapid test and a PCR test on Friday morning. "Her rapid test results were negative and she was cleared to attend Friday's events," the statement said. "She was informed later in the evening after public events on Friday that her PCR test came back positive, but she was retested Saturday morning after conferring with medical officials and those results came back inconclusive. She was not showing any symptoms and will continue to quarantine until she receives a conclusive test.

n one instance, a mother lost her 3-month-old because the convict forged a lab result A previously-convicted felon who owned an Alabama laboratory has been handed a lengthy prison term, after being convicted of falsifying paternity and drug tests that resulted in several parents wrongly losing custody of their children. Brandy Murrah, 37, was sentenced to 15 years hard time, after pleading guilty to falsifying test results in at least that many instances that falsely claimed samples came back positive for drugs, the Dothan Eagle reported. I've seen some contradictory information about the Georgia Runoff Election for U.S. Senate, so I decided to look up the law to clear up the confusion: *Issue*- limits for voting in a runoff *Claim*- only those voting in the primary on November 3rd can vote in the runoff *Reality*- False. Apparently according to Georgia law any legal Georgia resident of correct age & registered by December 7th (I think) can vote in the general runoff in January. Georgia holds primaries like all states. You can only vote in one party's primary. If, during a party's primary, no candidate receives 50+...

In 2002, Georgia became the first state to deploy paperless unauditable touchscreen direct record electronic (“DRE”) voting machines statewide. Although the state is in the process of replacing those machines, officials have selected controversial new touchscreen voting machines — Ballot Marking Devices (“BMDs”) intended for use by all voters — as a primary voting system rather than unhackable hand marked paper ballots. Experts warn that, unlike hand marked paper ballots, the new machines cannot provide the basis for meaningful manual audits. Numerous security lapses have also tainted recent elections in the state, providing the impetus for a pending federal lawsuit...

Hello all. Long time lurker, here. I apologize for posting this thread, but I am a dad raising my 3 daughters. Two will be 13 later this year. I told them when they reached that age or close to it they could open social media accounts. We are working on that now. Part of the problem is that they wish to follow some celebs once set up. My wife and I agreed, as long as they showed us who first. This is where we are facing problems. The first celebrity was Candace Cameron-Bure. She seemed ok, so we agreed. The...

There’s an expert for pretty much everything here… I am patching a pretty crappy concrete driveway, and I had a 6” at deepest hole to fix. I cleaned it out, washed it repeatedly with my pressure washer, painted it with bonding compound, and filled it with Quikrete Commercial-grade concrete (orange bag)… and discovered I was probably about 2 bags short. It finished ½” to 1” short of the end depth. It has been curing for two days now.

Election officials in Wisconsin said Saturday that Trump poll watchers were “obstructing” the recount and acting in “bad faith” as tabulations continue in Milwaukee and Dane counties. President Trump’s campaign demanded a recount in the liberal counties that include the state’s largest cities of Milwaukee and Madison. Milwaukee County election commissioner Tom Posnanski reported to fellow commissioners that more than one pro-Trump representative was discovered at different tabulation tables. Some allegedly posing as independents, breaking regulations that require one member from each political party. One Trump-observer reportedly rejected every ballot that was pulled from a bag because they were folded,...
