Malaysia's former prime minister Mahathir Mohamad said Thursday that Muslims had a right "to kill millions of French people", shortly after a knife-wielding man launched a deadly attack in Nice. Three people were killed at a church in the southern French city, with the attacker slitting the throat of at least one of them, in what authorities were treating as the latest jihadist attack to rock the country. Shortly afterwards, Mahathir -- who was prime minister of Muslim-majority Malaysia until his government collapsed in February -- launched an extraordinary outburst on Twitter. Referring to the beheading of a French teacher...

Final polling averages underestimated the lead then-candidate Donald Trump held in a number of crucial swing states, including Ohio, Florida, and North Carolina, in 2016. With early voting underway, critics are beginning to rethink their reliance on polls. “Can We Trust Pennsylvania’s Polls?” reads the title of a New York Times article highlighting the “Trumpmania” among residents in the state. On Thursday, CBS News published an article titled, “What went wrong with polls in 2016? Can we trust them now?” Vox recently posed a similar question: “Biden has a big lead in the polls, but can we trust them?”

The Walgreens at Van Ness and Eddy in San Francisco will close November 11. This will be the seventh Walgreens to go out of business in the city since the state decriminalized shoplifting. Walgreens spokesman Phil Caruso says "the shoplifting is so frequent and brazen that we can't keep the shelves stocked for paying customers. There are a lot of elderly in the neighborhood who have relied on this particular store for their meds and other heath products. But thieves have driven the cost of doing business too high for us to be able to survive in this location." Mayor...

I didnÂ’t vote for Donald Trump in 2016, but this year, only an act of God could stop me from doing so. In 2016, Trump had no track record. But now he does, and itÂ’s amazing. I didnÂ’t vote for Donald Trump in 2016, but this year, only an act of God could stop me from doing so.I make no excuses for TrumpÂ’s loose Twitter finger, and I still wince over the laundry list of cringe-worthy statements and undisciplined behavior weÂ’ve all witnessed for the past four years. However, what the Trump administration has accomplished is stunning. That has included landmark...

Governor Andrew Cuomo (D-NY) said Thursday on ABC’s “The View” that President Donald Trump was responsible for “every death” in the country from the coronavirus pandemic. Co-host Whoopi Goldberg said, “Coronavirus is now the third leading cause of death in America, and you say, and rightfully so I think, but I’m going to ask you, you’re holding you-know-who responsible for every death in New York from COVID. I’m going to say to you. Why?”

I have been posting daily reports on North Carolina early voting numbers. Based upon a review of the numbers, I think it is probable that Trump will win NC by double the 3.8 points he won by in 2016. Check out this golden nugget in the North Carolina early vote numbers: 2016—per CNN exit polling, 70% of the 2016 NC electorate was white, 30% non-white. Breaking this 70% white NC vote down by education: 37% of 2016 NC white voters had a college degree, 30% did not have a college degree. 2020—73% of the current early votes are by white...

An attacker armed with a knife killed three people inside a church Thursday in the southern French city of Nice, prompting the government to raise its security alert status to the maximum level hours before a nationwide coronavirus lockdown. It was the third attack in two months in France that authorities have attributed to Muslim extremists, including the beheading of a teacher. It comes during a growing furor over caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad that were republished in recent months by the satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo — renewing vociferous debate in France and the Muslim world over the depictions that...

John Piper has been a friend – a good and faithful friend – for more than 40 years. I thank God for his remarkable worldwide ministry, his evident deep love for God, his faithfulness to every word of Scripture, and the way his life of self-sacrifice continues to provide a challenge to me personally. When we have opportunities to be together, I enjoy every minute of conversation with him. I pray for him regularly, as I believe he does for me. I agree with probably 98% of everything he has written and said during his entire ministry. But he and...

Former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi appeared at the Republican National Convention Tuesday night. During her speech, Bondi suggested that Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden’s son Hunter Biden traveled to China with his father on Air Force Two during the Obama administration and used his time there to secure a business deal with Chinese bankers. Bondi stated: “Fact: Joe Biden flew to China on Air Force Two with Hunter along for the ride. They said he was just there as a family member, but we know that’s untrue. In Beijing, Hunter didn’t just go sightseeing. He had meetings with his...

SAN FRANCISCO, CA—Jack Dorsey was summoned to the Senate's hearing on Big Tech today, but he was tripping on acid with the spider-monkeys off the southern coast of St. Bart's, so he quickly called up his office and had his people hire a homeless man hanging out in front of Twitter's headquarters to fill in for him. The hobo was holding up a sign reading "Will Go to Senate Hearing for Crack," and Dorsey's assistants quickly hired him for the hearing. "Yeah, uh, censorship, I like that. That's good stuff," said the hobo to the confused panel. "The apocalypse is...

In her recent Vogue essay, model Emily Ratajkowski signals her most progressive beliefs, only to find herself wrestling with the pesky reality that is biology. Model, actress, and radical feminist Emily Ratajkowski announced her pregnancy in this month’s Vogue Magazine, writing an essay reflecting on the sex of her child. As is the case with many far-left causes and feminists, Ratajkowski signals her most progressive beliefs, only to find herself wrestling with the pesky reality that is biology. Like Tampax claiming men can have periods, or school districts ruling it fair for boys to compete in girls’ sports, leftist causes often...

Hi -- been around here since about 1998, and comment somewhat frequently, so I'm not exactly a newb, but find myself in need of some forum help. Specifically, I want to change my tagline. I used to have one that I liked, but it somehow got changed. I changed it to what shows up there now several years ago, but would like to change it again, and I can't find where it's stored in my profile or account. (Tried to use search to find it, with no luck...) Is it as simple as: Change it when writing a reply to...

Agents detained Anthony Smith, a social studies teacher and one of the organizers of the Philadelphia Coalition for Racial Economic and Legal Justice (Philly for REAL Justice), at his home Wednesday morning, his attorney Paul Hetznecker said. His arrest came just days after he was lauded in an article in Philadelphia Magazine for his activism. U.S. Attorney William M. McSwain has scheduled a news conference Thursday to announce the indictments on charges related to “police vehicle arsons.” Sources familiar with the investigation said it is tied to the unrest that roiled the city in May after the police killing of...

The alleged use of forced monkey labor has led Costco to stop selling Thai-made coconut products. People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) has been tracking such animal abuse since 2019, while urging retailers to pull merchandise made from the bad actors to discourage the practice, USA Today reported. “No kind shopper wants monkeys to be chained up and treated like coconut-picking machines,” PETA president Ingrid Newkirk said in a statement, according to the outlet. “Costco made the right call to reject animal exploitation, and PETA is calling on holdouts like Kroger to follow suit.” PETA’s investigation found chained-up...
