In a survival saga for the ages, a Colombian woman who had fallen off the grid two years ago was miraculously discovered alive at sea by flabbergasted fishermen. Video of her dramatic rescue has since gone viral online. “Thank God I was alive,” said Angelica Gaitan, 46, who was found Saturday by Roland Visbal while floating 1.2 miles off of Puerto Colombia. In the stunning footage shot by her rescuer, Visbal and a friend named Gustavo can be seen maneuvering their vessel toward the suspended woman, who appears unresponsive. In fact, they initially mistook Gaitan for a piece of driftwood...

Wells Fargo’s CEO recently faced outrage for a memo noting “the unfortunate reality is that there is a very limited pool of black talent to recruit from.” Rather than pseudo-righteous indignation, maybe it’s time to confront uncomfortable facts about both college preparedness and the way our society bases economic opportunity on college success. According to critical race theory, our intellectual class’ obsession du jour, any hiring disparity reflects structural racism, and companies like Wells Fargo simply “aren’t trying hard enough” to find black candidates. In reality, there are wide racial gaps even before college. The average black SAT taker trails...
  • A Possible Debate Gaff Tonight.Imagine If Joe Biden Calls Chris Wallace "Mike".That Would Be Pretty Embarrassing.

And this would be of no surprise.Remember when Joe Biden called Chris Wallace "Chuck". And what if something similar happens tonight? If it did, it would likely go something this. Biden calls Chris "Mike", then Chris Wallace responds by saying, "Excuse me Vice President Biden, but my name is Chris Wallace". Then Biden apologizes. Then Chris brings up that maybe Joe Biden got him mixed up with his father. Chris then says something like, I'm sorry Mr.Biden, but my father Mike Wallace died in 2012. Maybe you have forgotten that? Biden then responds with "Oh,Oh, I'm sorry Mike, God Love...

A New Jersey man’s body was pulled from 1,565 feet underwater after he drowned in Lake Tahoe, Nevada — the deepest known recovery in US history, authorities said. The remains of 29-year-old Ryan Normoyle were recovered Monday from the lake, which is the second-deepest in the nation, according to the South Lake Tahoe Police Department. Police said Normoyle drowned last month after he recorded himself jumping off his rented boat then was unable to swim fast enough to catch up with the vessel, which he left in gear.

You know you're over forty when the word "hashtag" brings you out in hives. But I've tried. I've really tried to join the #hashtag culture. I've #hashtagged with the best of 'em until I had an epiphany. What if each new, hot hashtag is a subterfuge? A small shiny object spinning to distract us from important news stories they'd rather we forgot so they can sweep them under the rug. Just ask yourself, "When was the last time I saw #EpsteinDidntKillHimself on a Tweet?". My point. Here are some important hashtags/news stories from 2019-2020 I forgot after other hashtags conveniently...

(h/t foldspace) Q is the result of the sacrifices and commitment of countless patriots to win back our captured country from the Deep State and achieve the transformation President Trump promised in this campaign video. President Trump has said the awakening of the public is key to this transformation.Q describes this awakening as follows: "The Great Awakening ('Freedom of Thought’), was designed and created not only as a backchannel to the public (away from the longstanding 'mind’ control of the corrupt & heavily biased media) to endure future events through transparency and regeneration of individual thought (breaking the chains of...

On the last and greatest day of the feast, Jesus stood up and called out in a loud voice, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink. Whoever believes in Me, as the Scripture has said: ‘Streams of living water will flow from within him. He was speaking about the Spirit, whom those who believed in Him were later to receive. For the Spirit had not yet been given, because Jesus had not yet been glorified. Christ spoke these remarkable words while attending the "Feast of Tabernacles," as recorded in the Gospel of John, Chapter 7.

Island legislators told there is no evidence PLA is massing troops despite repeated drills and intimidation flights Premier Su Tseng-chang says Taiwan’s people will tenaciously defend themselves and their land There are no signs that China is preparing for all-out war with Taiwan, such as massing troops along its eastern coast, the Taiwanese defence chief said on Tuesday, after repeated drills by the mainland’s military near the island. Taiwan has denounced mainland China’s manoeuvres, including flying fighter jets over the sensitive median line of the Taiwan Strait, as an attempt at intimidation. “The Chinese communists have continued their acts of...

Amy Coney Barrett is President Donald Trump’s latest nominee for the Supreme Court, and the scramble is already underway to read the inner workings of her mind on everything from abortion to where she sits on the spectrum from originalism to the “living Constitution.” Thanks to Pennsylvania’s Supreme Court, however, the question that should be on the top of every senator’s list is not merely how Barrett construes the Constitution, but how she reads the plain text of statutes, period. Barrett herself agrees, writing in a law review article this year that a textualist — which is how she identifies...

Hillary Clinton personally signed off on the Russiagate farce to distract attention from her email scandal, according to a Russian intelligence analysis that was obtained by U.S. intelligence agencies in July 2016. That is the bombshell allegation that National Intelligence Director John Ratcliffe has just dropped on the Senate Judiciary Committee, with the first presidential debate just a few hours away and with former FBI director James Comey scheduled to testify before that Committee tomorrow morning. Ratcliffe’s letter to Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham (R., N.C.) asserts that in late July 2016, American intelligence agencies “obtained insight” into an analysis by...

A Christian crowdfunding site has raised more than $520,000 to help cover legal fees for Kenosha shooter Kyle Rittenhouse. The GiveSendGo site, created shortly after Rittenhouse shot three Black Lives Matter protesters in the Wisconsin city on Aug. 25, killing two, is sponsored by a group called “Friends of the Rittenhouse family,” which is based in Atlanta, Georgia. The group set an initial goal of $500,00 but had surpassed that by Monday, with nearly $523,000 in contributions. “Now, Kyle is being unfairly charged with murder 1, by a DA who seems determined to capitalize on the political angle of the...

Not only were Russian officials aware of Hillary Clinton’s campaign plan to accuse Donald Trump of being a Russian asset, top U.S. intelligence authorities knew of Russia’s knowledge of Clinton’s plans, Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe disclosed to congressional officials on Tuesday. Before they launched an investigation into whether Trump’s campaign was colluding with Russia, intelligence agencies learned that Russia knew of Clinton’s plans to tarnish Trump with the collusion smear. At one point, former Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) Director John Brennan personally briefed then-President Barack Obama and other top U.S. national security officials that Russia assessed Hillary Clinton...

..............After drilling into the stalagmites and pulling out cylinders of rock, the team could see an obvious transition between two layers. On one side were old minerals that were part of the original stalagmites; on the other were newer layers that had been laid down after the fragments were broken off by the cave’s former users. By measuring uranium levels on either side of the divide, the team could accurately tell when each stalagmite had been snapped off for construction. Their date? 176,500 years ago, give or take a few millennia.

After Disneyland’s home of Orange County failed to move up in state’s ‘tiers’ of COVID-19 recovery to a level that would have allowed partial reopening, Disney announces massive job cuts The massive job reduction was the most eye-opening among several severe cost-cutting measures made by Disney DIS, -0.46% , which has lost billions of dollars in potential revenue because of suspended operations at its amusement parks, live-production units and cruise lines since COVID-19-imposed closures dating back to March. Disney said in its most recent earnings report that COVID-19 had cost its theme-park business roughly $1 billion in operating income in...
