I think Biden may be sharper than we expect, but not really sharp.
They’ve been adjusting his sleep schedule the last couple weeks so he won’t be “sundowning”. He’s just getting out of bed now and will think it’s morning during the debate, so will be about the best he can be, which isn’t saying much, but he’ll be better than he would be if he was on a normal diurnal schedule.

Well, since I am highly cynical when it comes to Leftists ..... and since I believe that there is no low to which they will not stoop, here is my prediction.
During the debate, Biden will have some sort of medical event. He will end up dropping out of the race. This will generate maximum sympathy for one of the most unsympathetic candidates in the world. The Democrats and the press will blame Trump because, well ... Trump.

If Team Biden were looking for a way to cancel tonight, they could ‘plan’ for some errant vehicle to crash into his motorcade — on his way from the airport or to the ‘event’.
They could claim he had to have medical treatment — but the accident was non-live-threatening. He would have to stay in the hospital overnight for observation and treatment.
Tomorrow, he could magically appear exiting the hospital under his own power — before putting another ‘lid’ on his campaign.
